The meta is so hyper-realistically clear that we are at the point where nothing shakes it up.
Blade barrage is a clear problem. A super that powerful should not recharge so fast. A solo kill blade barrage is a common sight to see now, because it's such a disposable super that solo killing with it is ENCOURAGED.
Shotguns. Shotguns everywhere. A shotgun should not instantly kill at a range where submachine guns become viable. Not using a shotgun feels like a serious disadvantage, especially in our extremely close range maps.
Pvp now feels like the wild west. Hand cannons like Ace of Spades, Luna's howl, and Not Forgotten are extremely powerful. I don't understand why they are catering to them so much. These are regarded as pvp god weapons, and they are they for sure. It would be nice to see some unique perks like these on other weapon archetypes so people can be different. I am not saying these weapons are overpowered, they are genuinely low skill to use weapons, but we lack other weapons in a different class that can do the same.
Most of these issues would be solved if maps stopped catering to specific playstyles. The inclusion of the new Equinox map introduced a new setting for pulses, scouts and snipers to be very viable, but almost every other map misses that mark with tight spaces, corrordors, and small lanes. It would be nice for maps to have high sightlines for once, rather than gunplay being mostly on a single plane. Bungie, if you actually made good maps, respawning next to enemies would not be an issue.
We all know matchmaking is a clear issue. Bungie removing it was a huge mistake.
The introduction of pinnacle weapons have killed crucible. I wonder who in the hell thought an insta-killing grenade launcher was a good idea.
