I’m posting this because I genuinely feel like I’m losing my mind playing comp. I just played a guy that was literally faster than any human being could react to. Like it was obvious this person’s console was receiving data faster than everyone else’s in the lobby.
Now I consider myself a fairly competent player. Before going and murdering my k/d for this Luna’s Howl quest I averaged around a 2.0 eff. But since I have been in comp boy oh boy the shenanigans I have seen.
Hunters have moon bounced and disappeared into orbit on Stomp33s, my shotgun will literally miss someone entirely at point blank range while simultaneously letting them kill me an instant later, my guns have stopped shooting as I’m pulling the trigger mid gunfight, unloaded Trust in faces only to watch them die a full 2 seconds later, the list goes on and on.
I say all that to say this. Bungie I swear to God on everything I love I’m not purchasing another Destiny game after this if it doesn’t have dedicated servers. I can’t... I -blam!-ing can’t do this again. I love this game. I love feeling like a space badass, but after playing Destiny since year one I still have no clue how truly good I am at this game. When I lose I’m not sure if it’s because I’m bad. And when I win I’m not sure it’s because I’m good. An individual’s connection to the host can completely alter a match that much.
I don’t have this problem in other games I know exactly how good I am in Overwatch. I know exactly how bad I am at twitchy shooters like Titanfall. You guys tried to make PvP into Overwatch, but missed because the game will never be taken seriously as an esport without having rock solid connections. Weapon and class balance not withstanding.
I know my little $60 bucks might not move the needle but I’m sure there are countless other players that feel the exact same way.

Modifié par NomadEnigma4154 : 10/15/2018 1:04:34 PMThere are bigger problems to worry about than whether the servers are dedicated or not. Edit: also, if it was the biggest issue, they would be preferred now as opposed to in a sequel that’ll happen in about 2 years, give or take.

Damn right

12 commentairesWood you pay a monthly fee?....That's the only way it's going to happen

I feel so bad about the massive population of horses this community has beaten to death over this topic. Sadly, I just don't see it ever happening.
-
2 commentairesI'm not ready for D3 and plus I hope its completely better than D1 and D2 but I'm going to hold off on buying another cash cow, and I hope they unlock everything in D2 they didn't unlock everything in D1.
-
4 commentairesNo it does not . what destiny 3 needs to tell you destiny 1 bitches to suck it and move into the future

1 commentaireDude. 1. Microsoft is VERY PROUD of the Mouse/Keyboard attachment they just released for Xbox. 2. Destiny Players Cheat. 3. Pre ordering every piece of content they ever released isn't going to do you good for "they better have dedicated servers". What are you going to do if they don't announce them? Pre Order again? (see the logic problem?)

Try and keep this post trending see if we can get a bungie response!! Won't happen but yeah....
-
1 commentaireYes this needs to happen! The amount of revenue this game has pulled in and yet bungie still just sticks a middle finger up at the pvp community and does not even talk about the terrible state of the connections in pvp lol. Got black ops 4 on launch and it really opened my eyes when I felt how smooth that games connection is (yes there is still some lag but its 99% better.. For me at least) I'm sure the 60fps plays apart in that as well but destiny should be 60fps as well! this 30fps nonsense needs to be phased out in modern gaming lol it does NOTHING but give a subpar experience

D3 LOL Good one

I just played 13 games of PvP. 2 competitive and 11 quick play. I won 1 of the competitive and lost all 11 quick play. I think I was in first place for my side almost every single match. You can look at my history. I know I’m better than average and with most shooters I tend to always be in the top of the scores list. But this fvcking game really takes the cake. I’d say the last 7 games continually got more laggy as time went on. Certain enemies were almost impossible to kill, constantly warped back and forth, appeared in front of you shooting . When you returned fire suddenly they’re behind a corner. This PvP is a disaster, no matter how good or bad you are. But jump on Battlefield 1, you see 32 vs. 32 teams on huge maps, with tanks, planes and destructible environments, tons of fire fights everywhere..... rarely if ever do I experience lag. Destiny 1 and 2 have been the only shooters of recent generations that I have experienced these continual issues. That’s not to say other games don’t have issues, but a triple A title with these continued problems shouldn’t continue this long.
-
Bump. I love foresaken and I loved most of D1 but I would pay double for a mix of D1 yr 3 and forsaken with dedicated servers. If crucible wasn’t such a load of laggy bullshit this game would be freaking epic.
-
I'm seriously thinking of opting out of it doesn't. We can speak with our wallets. One man might not do but if we collaborated as a group we could get something done. I love Destiny but it does get ridiculous a times

-
Doubtful, given that there's no agreement between developer and publisher to continue the franchise past D3.
-
1 commentaired2 should have had it, together with 60fps and seperate pve pvp balance.
-
1 commentaireI love this game, I really do, but I have 2 more resets to get my broadsword and I'm done with crucible for a VERY long time.
-
Had the same issues the last 3 days

Edit: and that is assuming you spent $0 on microtransactions.

1 commentaireDedicated servers would help so damn much with hit detection. Melees would register better, supers would register better, the game would register better. P2p can remain in pve but in PvP where things don't ever register properly...this will be key to whether I buy the third one or not...one of the key things...
-
2 commentairesAgain bro don't take Destiny pvp seriously. It's a PVE game. Every other FPS on the market is pvp focused if that's what you're looking for.
-
3 commentairesHow will it work with dedicated servers when your a team with players in EU and US?
-
It won’t
-
8 commentairesyou and everyone else crying for dedicated servers should just move on to better games. activision has never had dedicated servers in any of their games. and they're not about to start now.
-
8 commentairesDon’t you dare bring up D3. Bungie has to still put this game together. If they release another title in the next 6 years without fixing this one, it will be the greatest cash grab of the century. Get that outa here
-
3 commentairesHonestly, the solution is to leave, play better games and don't come back. I assure you that you won't regret it.
