Many of the activities you've created in this game are time sensitive, such as anything involving Queensfoil. However, whenever my guardian dies, I am respawned SO FAR away from the activity I often don't even know which direction to go to get back! There are NO enemies I've ever seen so LARGE or powerful to require me to be repawned a quarter of the way across the map!
In all sincerity, please patch this problem.

This has been an issue since the launch of Destiny 2, but it was made worse when they claimed they fixed PvP spawns many months ago. I just finished a game of EP and decided to run a Lost Sector at Braytech Futurescape for the boss, but as I entered the building where the entrance to it is, a public event started. I turned around and joined the event. Anyway, not caring about getting melted I stayed inside the Cabal bubble and destroyed the bottom panel and died. I spawned at the entrance to the Lost Sector on the complete opposite side of the map. I laughed, showed a friend, and went to see if it would happen again. I ran to the event, got smashed, spawned once again at the entrance to the Lost Sector. I would like to point out that I never got as far as entering the Lost Sector, I only entered the building where the entrance is, but it still spawned me way into the building at the entrance to the Lost Sector. This happens every single day I play PvE content, and for me it is much more annoying than bad PvP spawns. In PvP it constantly spawns enemies around me, spawns me at locations that are heavily occupied by players on the other team while my team are on the other side completely unopposed, but in PvE it loves to find the most remote location to spawn me...

Also when joining from orbit, it spawns you under the map, I thought I was in a different planet.

Only 10 miles? You must be a favorite. But in all seriousness the spawn points needs some work. I fell of a ledge in the shattered throne, and whenever I respawned it was mid air and I kept on falling on every respawn. Tried jumping when I respawn, they revived my bubble then I tried to jump, nothing worked. Somehow my spawn point was about a meter from the ledge in mid air. I had to wait for my team to go to a checkpoint so I can respawn there else I just kept on dying.

1 commentaireWhat I think a lot of the naysayers to this post (not that there are a lot, even the ones who are admit it's a problem) need to realize is that the simple "well then Get Good! it's supposed to be a challenge!" attitude doesn't fit. Unless part of the storyline is that my ghost resurrects me from my death point a mile away, it makes no sense. And look, I'm a #DestinyDad. I worked today from 6am until now. I have two hours to get on and play before my wife gets home and I have to pick up my daughter. This game is already a time-sink, but Bungie specifically said they want to make it a hobby. HOW can this be a hobby for someone like me? Honestly? When the content is hard enough as it is, the grind so long to power up, and then on top of it by the time I get back to "the enemy is moving against eachother" they're gone, or back to the ascendant challenge it's over and I have to go collect baryon boughs all over again to buy queensfoil? I'm not like you all who have spent hours and always have the max amount of queensfoil. When I want to attempt the Ascendant Challenge I have to do so all over again. Make sense?

1 commentaireThis is on a pretty sizable list of Bungoisms. However, this one is a bit more of a D2 thing than a D1 thing. It ranks right up there with Cabal who can teleport ( also Hive and standard Fallen) vanishing chests and being shot through walls even in PVE.

They should just respawn you at the beginning of the ascendant challenge. Also, if you are with a fireteam, they should be able to revive you.

I die in gambit during the primeval battle....i get spawned on the opposite end of the map.

11 commentairesYeah, I decided to take a crack at the most recent Ascendant Challenge the other day, I gave up after my 3rd death, mainly because I was sick and tired of repeating the jumping puzzle. Shitty game design Bungie, shitty game design.

I believe this is Bungie punishing the player for dying in the first place. I notice every time I died I was respawning further away each time. I think this is a deliberate move on Bungie's part.

2 commentaires1. It penalizes you for dying, so that you just won't try to blindly rush through things. 2. The game world isn't a seamless whole. It is an interlocking patchwork of public and pivate spaces. 3. It also protects you so that you don't keep spawning in areas and immediately dying over and over again. You spawn in a safe place, and have a fighting chance.

1 commentaireWe were running into this the other night during the ascendant challenge. It wouldn't be so bad if I could sparrow back in, or if sprint speed felt a little quicker. We weren't sure if it was a bug or a troll.
