So just saw a saw a Fallout plaus video on the new hand held super nova grenade for the new void warlock atunement.
You want to know what bothered me about this vid. It was the fact that VoidWalkers get the range all warlock mains wanted AND they get a 1HK grenade .
So not only does titan have 2 subclasses that can one shot melee you, the warlock also has a subclass that can one shot grenade you from range with a stupid aoe.
So i would love to see a valid reason as to why hunters TK cant get a little bump in damage if not 1HK.
Explain to me how the titan and the warlock are some how allowed to 1 shot but hunter melee isnt.
I have seen all sorts of justification in the past for hunter throwing knife not being able to one shot or not doing more damage then i does.
Most justifications come down to either "its thematic for titans so its fair" and the "hunter are op" (hint: they arent).
So whats the justification for warlocks getting ranged 1HK and titans getting a close range 1HK but hunters getting not even a damage bump on TK?
Edit 1: corrected wording.
Edit 2: they nerfed trip mine damage back in D1 and D2 and made it so you cant stick it to enemys and get a 1HK but then they give warlocks a 1HK grenade.
Not asking for other classes to get nerfed just want some consistency and changes for TK.
Edit 3: just in case anyone was curious, the new arcstrider atunements melee doesnt 1HK in pvp. It has the same exact requirements as shoulder charge (have to be running for a certain duration) but still cant 1HK AND your locked into a ling animation.
Again please Dev team can we please have some consistency when it cones to melees for hunters. Cause right now it looks like hunters get shafted for no reason.
Edit 4: Appreciate all the support gaurdians keep it up.
Side note: If no one wants a 1HK throwing knife fine at the very least though it should 2 shot. No reason why a charged melee shouldn't break sheilds.

100 percent agree... I've seen a Titan get 30 kills using only shoulder charge... Meanwhile, the new hunter knife fan can only drop shields if they all his head, which mean normal lunge range, and do no burn damage. With gambler dodge it might be slightly OP... But more OP than a Titan running around a corner and magnetizing to you while you're 15 feet in the air without any visual clues as to the status of his shoulder charge?? Idk, but titans are easy mode in pvp throwing knife will still take more skill than shoulder charge.

6 commentairesThrowing knifes require so much aim as opposed to a shoulder charge and that’s why it should be a 1 hit kill just like in D1. Still have no idea why bungie hasn’t changed this. It’s a simple buff that only makes the game more balanced. If anything I personally wanted the 1 hit kill to be on the new arc strider super where you can uppercut people (cuz it looks hella cool) but oh well.

2 commentairesThrowing knife needs to be able to be comboed with a adaptive frame hand cannon body shot and a knife headshot to kill. So 168 damage to the face. It 100% does NOT need to be a OHK.

6 commentairesThe new voidwalker ability isn’t a very good comparison because it’s a grenade not a melee, it takes time to charge, it has very short range, and is easy to accidentally kill yourself with. That said. the Arcstrider slide melee should definitely ohk if shoulder charge does.

I think knives should be a 1HK under the condition that the knife is charged to throw. Give it about a full 1- 1.2 second charge before throw and bottom tree should have no arc and a faster traveling time and top tree should add an extra explosion but keep the same arc and travel time.

Just switch to the new gun slinger super, knife throw for days and does a ton of damage and don't need to hit precision lol

At least make the new Throwing Knife ability a OHK if you get at least 2/3 Knives to hit.

1 commentaireThe new void warlock super is lacking in aoe radius, also the new grenade requires you to be at point blank range to 1 hit, and if you mess up you can 1 hit kill yourself. It also has to br charged first. The throwing knives are just fine and guarantee a kill when used.

The new void super made will kill yourself half the time since being shot instantly detonated it in ur hand FYI.

2 commentairesYeah they made a mess putting in more OHK non super abilities. Means you have to add even more to counter. I’d probably nerf the tracking on the knife a bit if it became a OHK. The free knife on knife kill would also probably cause issues. Think I’d rather see an increase in hunter melee attack rate such as combination melee ability from arc strider actually allowing the hunter to punch rapidly.

It should be totally removed from the game. It's absurd. Inless hunters can throw their little butter knives as fast as bullets they would bounce right off of any guardians shielding. Lol. Edit: Lol! Ok so from what I'm reading all the Hunter mains are mad and saying oooohhhh "but a punch can do dmg or a shoulder can one shot" etc etc. lol no it should not. I think all melee is dumb and should be removed from the game. I also think them adding sword to weapons was really dumb and stupid also. And them adding in bows was really really really stupid. They should add in mini-guns and flame throwers. But by all you hunters logic wanting to make your little butter knives stronger if that's the case then ALL job classes punches need to be stronger then also. So there! Shut up about your silly dumb throwing knives already! Jeesh.

Throwing knife damage is a joke the tick damage alone does 3 damage but on a player with super active it's 1 like wtf kinda of weak arse ability is that, either crit throwing knifes need to be one hit kills or knifes in the new subclass need to have massive bleed damage added to it.

Plus hunters don't get special shields on their supers, but of course, you have to account for their speed, but evem then, hunters should at least get a shield for the animation so they don't get slaughtered and wasted a super.

I think they could use a buff but definitely not ohk. Ill start by saying I've mained gunslinger for the past 2 years and throwing knives are my favorite thing in this game lol. I think the original throwing knives should go back to destiny 1's numbers at 142 to the head and I think it was 111 to the body or something like that. In the new subclass they seem super weak in pvp unless you manage to hit 2 or 3 of those knives on one target which is super rare. Maybe increase the ticks to 7 instead of 2? Or give a buff to each knive's damage. Pve they seem fine. Super fun subclass to use.

Yes it does but Bungie wont listen and the trolls will call you a cry baby. I been using the new solar class with the fan knives. I counted 4 times in the last few hours where a player was rushing me and I threw the knives right in their face..no dmg at at. It has hit reg issues on top of being weak as -blam!-ing water. But hey, it's fine for warlocks and titans to be really strong with ohk melee and shit. Just not us you see. "Bc knives have range"

I’ve been saying this since day 1 of the patch. Now warlocks and titans have a one shot attack and the throwing knife that requires the most skill gets no love. Much less the explosive knife is broken and sometimes doesn’t register damage.

The way I would balance the game is allow hunters to have a passive perk that allows them to one shot players when using a melee from behind, as for warlocks all the subclasses should have the ability to overcharge their grenade to ohk other players same way titans are going around with shoulder charge
