Why are we so afraid of breaking this game. What are we worried about ruining?
The best week of this whole game was the week the lens was broken.
Make patches if it breaks the game make new ones. Who cares at this point. Break the game multiple times till we get a good version then we build.
We will be your testers push out weapons patches that may be broken. We will like it.
It’s hard to break a game that is currently BROKEN

21 commentairesModifié par GrundleBeans : 3/22/2018 6:58:21 PMBecause every time something is "broken" or works different than expected the community throws a fit and accuses Bungie of being unable to do anything right the first time. People throw a fit when a patch takes more than a few minutes to download and install... People want a working product with zero bugs and exploits. And that's partly because Bungie is generally terribly slow at fixing things so when something isn't working, people expect it to be broken longer than it should be. This could all be alleviated if they just offered a beta build/server for players to try things and get feedback earlier rather than only testing internally/with a select handful of community members.

1 commentaireModifié par zxionisus : 3/23/2018 3:24:54 AMI respectfully disagree, in part. I am not their tester - they have a multitude of testers on payroll (that they give limitations on and parameters to follow and dissent or criticism is discouraged, because it hurts Luke’s feelings), then they send out the beta for live testing by us. Can you imagine if a car manufacturer did that? A ladder company? Here ya go, your brand new BMW 5 series - we tested it a little, but you beta people are going to finish the testing for us! How fun is that!? Here’s a waiver for you to sign first... Bungie has proven with D2 that beta testing is nothing more than a marketing ploy. Did they make any substantive changes based off of the feedback they got during beta? Still playing with two primaries, right? No random rolls yet? Strange that. But don’t worry, they “are listening.” Sell a completed product and then supplement it with DLC’s to enhance an already finished product if you want, but don’t sell a partial product with issues and subsequently claim that the “fixes” are some special reward. In some cases, fixes turn out to be a paid-for DLC. In what world is that acceptable? Sorry we made a mistake, but don’t worry, you get to pay for it! Sweet!

Modifié par Codykins : 3/23/2018 5:38:51 AM
The best week of this whole game was the week the lens was broken.
Actually, in my opinion, the best week of this game was the first week or two. You know; The new experience, not hitting the grind wall at 280 (when the game came out), not realizing there was no endgame, realizing how stale static weapons made the game, people trying out all sorts of weapons, PvP not being flooded with MIDA and Uriels. It was fun before there was a meta and a bandwagon everyone had to hop on, because nobody now, has any sense of individuality in this game and has to fool themselves into thinking they're good by using meta weapons. Just my two cents.

172 commentairesWhat were the best times in D1?: 1. Pocket Infinity when it pumped out 7 rounds full auto and wrecked everything in its path....before Bungie nerfed it. 2. Corrective Measure when it held 100 rounds in the mag and 200 rounds reserve, 300 rounds total and shot like a laser beam....before Bungie nerfed it. 3. Suros Regime when it pew pew pewed with extreme precision at range taking heads off with ease....before Bungie nerfed it. 4. Vex Mythoclast that just rampaged through everything in its path...the ultimate reward for the most difficult and epic raid, VoG...before Bungie nerfed it. 5. Last Word, the fabeled 6 shooter that could take guardians down with style and ease...before Bungie nerfed it. 6. Thorn, the cruel beauty that was the bane of everyones existance and the enevy of every guardian that didn't have one....until Bungie nerfed it. 7. Ice Breaker, the most OP and epic sniper ever. The destroyer of raids and nightfalls....until Bungie nerfed it. 8. Vision of Confluence, the scout to end all scouts....before Bungie nerfed it. 9. Black Hammer, ultimate boss melter and coveted Crotas End raid drop...before Bungie axed it. 10. Hawk Moon, could kill you across the map before you even had time to react...before Bungie nerfed it. 11.. Plan C, when fusions were king, this guy was on top of the hill...before Bungie nerfed them. 12. Fate Bringer, need I say more...before Bungie nerfed it. 13. Sleeper Simulant, an epic secret quest for an epic secret gun. 14. Felwinters lie, when shotguns were godly and could snipe you from 100 miles away, Guardians would curse you under their breath breath at its site...before Bungie nerfed it 15. Gjallahorn...before Bungie nerfed it. Like if you remember Guardians. Tell Bungie what we want and why D2 is trash. There is simply nothing to chase. There is not one weapon in D2 that even REMOTELY compares to any of the above. Bungie has just been nerfing and nerfing and nerfing this once great game and D2 was the end result. A game where nothing is good, nothing is fun, nothing is epic...equals a game that no one likes and IS NOT FUN!!!

1 commentaireThough I don’t think the game is broken, this is a great idea. Let’s crank out some crazy fun guns. Some bad ass hand cannons with high stability and damage. Some pulse rifles with headseeker and high impact rounds. Scouts with fast reloads and close scopes. Finally, Uriel’s gift lol! It could be awesome. Let’s try it!

2 commentairesHell yeah. I want to feel powerful in PvE. In D1, we were strong enough to take on gods. We could become stronger and the weapons reflected that. Gjallarhorn on Atheon, 4th Horseman during Skolas Arc Burn, Telesto during Void Burn Nightfalls, trick shots with the Truth, etc etc. For a time, the progression actually made me feel as if I was getting stronger. The moments where my fire team and I felt unstoppable were the most fun we had in D1. Now, everything is just meh.

3 commentairesno -blam!-ing way. i do not want a repeat of lens week. i want a fun and balanced game not everyone using the same damn weapon cause its broken and kills everyone who glances at it.

17 commentairesModifié par blade329 : 3/22/2018 10:32:22 PMTell me about it!!! This ludicrous obsession with balance and competition just makes me pull my hair out. People need to stop taking PvP seriously in this game. For the players that want high level competition, go to a freaking non loot based shooter and be done with it. Stop trying to turn Destiny into Halo. It doesn't work. That's why players left PvP in droves.

Destiny 2 isn't broken. its just a game that isn't as fun to play as Destiny 1 was...and had its RPG elements taken away trying to promote and improve PVP. The Division in its first year was a broken game. How many times playing Destiny 2 have you: 1. Fallen through the map and other geometry to your death? 2. Cued up a mission or a strike...and it won't start? 3. Have the game drop loot items that are less powerful than the gear you NEED in order to clear the content it drops from 4. Had to empty two magazines of bullets into a mob to get it to die...when it can ONE shot you from halfway across the play space? 5. Had to deal with a progression system so broken that one of the major content creators tries to level up and gear up as a solo player....and has to admit that it simply can't be reliably done, and your best hope is to talk full fireteams into carrying you. 6. Had people using hacks and flying across the Crucible like Superman. Shooting you from halfway across the map through a half dozen walls. 7. Had a the community become so toxic that you complete a raid....only to get booted as the loot drops...and your team invites one of their friends in to steal your loot. (There's no postmaster, so your loot is just GONE.) THAT is what playing a broken game is like.

16 commentairesThe lens was the best week? Bronze ELO and a negative KD... why is it always this type of player that loved that AIDS festival? Worst PVP experience yet. I have personally enjoyed the respite from grenade and super spamming that has been D2. Nothing worse than going in a 15 kill streak only to have some dude panic and super you out of it 😂.

This is the best game I've ever played!
-
Its like someone playing Crackdown and saying your Agent is too powerful. The whole reason I bought the game was to play a powerful character. Not collect emblems and shaders...
-
Is the a reference to Matt Hardy?

WHOA dude actually yes. This tentative action is getting bungie no where at this point. I know changes take a while on this engine though and it would be really hard for the quality of art to stay with them, but I like the idea that the art and graphics are garbage until we have something we like, then do a huge wide sweeping update that re-renders every thing with amazing art and graphics.

1 commentaire
Why are we so afraid of breaking this game. What are we worried about ruining?
Uh, maybe a certain Nightfall where you can no longer progress? How is that fun or worth "not worrying about?"
The best week of this whole game was the week the lens was broken.
For many, yeah. For others? No. Depends on your pov.
Make patches if it breaks the game make new ones. Who cares at this point. Break the game multiple times till we get a good version then we build.
Have you been around long enough to know how long it takes them to fix things? If rather wait than deal with broken strikes or grossly OP weapons in PvP.
We will be your testers push out weapons patches that may be broken. We will like it.
This sounds awful. You don't realize the shitshow you're asking for.
It’s hard to break a game that is currently BROKEN
You haven't seen BROKEN from a coding perspective apparently. Listen, I get the sentiment. But what you're asking for is a world of even more hurt than we have now.
