I logged on to destiny 2 just a few minutes ago and logged off immediately. Christopher Barrett and the live team say they are listening but they are not. These slow empty updates are not going to cut it. The creators of some of the most legendary games in gaming are now the under dogs. Destiny 2 would not be the game it is today if you were listening. Some say that Destiny 2 is in the state it is now because of the fans.
How is that possible when the developer doesn’t listen to fans? Destiny 2 is in the state it’s in because “making new content is too hard”. Destiny 2 is in the state it’s in because the push for the game to suit casual players. Destiny 2 is in the state it’s in because the notion that Eververse will prolong the life of the game and give a constant flow of revenue. When developers listen to their fans their games turn out like Fortnite, The Division, Rainbow Six, Overwatch and Warframe.
Bungie rather continue to muddle through their mess and “fix” and “update” aspects of the game that nobody asked for. Pathetic vanity updates that add no content to the game. The focus on Eververse and undermined micro transactions. March 27th will not flock players back. Fans are not going to sit around for months to be slow-fed mediocre updates. I am not going to sit around and wait for Bungie to try and play catch-up. I’m not going wait for Bungie to try to turn D2 into D1. Destiny 2 is insanity in its own right. Doing the same thing over and over again and getting the same results. Bungie has not learned from there mistakes. I believe the cycle will continue on. They are not listening.

1 commentaireI'm a Semi-Casual player. I vastly prefered D1 over D2. In D1 I could idly do strikes quite literally all day, happily getting loot and comparing it about with other loot. In D2, get engram, go to tower, get loot, look at name, scrap it, give scrap to gunsmith, get new loot, read the name, scrap it. In D1 each piece of gear was different in some way, sometimes I wouldn't get something good, sometimes though you get those little gems of weapons. Mine are a Cocytus Omol. Scout with explosive rounds AND Firefly, and a old King's Fall update Iron banner Sidearm with zen moment. I could log on every day to D1 and not really get bored until maybe 9 hours in, or a friend was really persistent in bugging me onto something else. In D2 I quit back in November because it was just log in on Tuesday, do weekly stuff, do loot process above, log out, wait for Tuesday, repeat until I finally asked "Why do I even bother?" Then I went back to D1. I'm a casual, I chomp at the bit of a shiny new game, but D1 was always able to pull me back in after a week or so. D2 doesn't have that pull
