Good read that hits the nail on the head.

Good article. Echoes the forums sentiments.

1 commentaireModifié par OHNO_IMAPENCIL : 2/15/2018 11:28:00 AMEven after banning half of the people that bought the game from the forums, you can easily see endless amounts of guardians who loved D1, and the sequel they pre ordered has managed the impossible- getting them to not only not play D2, but hate it, and hate the franchise. Thats pretty impressive in ways.... and was bothers me is that Bungie seem to think that by trying to finish the game within the next year, it'll make everything ok! WTF Devs need to ensure they test their games, and finish them. D2 will show that packing a turd in D1 clothing wont buy you time, it will lose you integrity.

Destiny 2 failed my wallet.

Well, if you go back and read the second sentence in the article. This will explain why Bungie doesn't give a -blam!- what you all think. They made a shit tone of money on this game. So, to them, and their investors, it was a successful launch. Now the conundrum is how to keep us playing, and how to get us to spend our money on eververse. So that we will drop a shit tone more money on the September expansion. Then rinse and repeat. Personally, im really bummed out about the gaming industry. The way they are locking content behind payed DLC's and loot boxes. Really considering giving it up. Been disappointed way to many times now by AAA tiles.

2 commentairesBungie knew all of this. Every bit of it. They made a cash grab game and thought the players would take anything they gave and praise it. They are the most arrogant developers around and it's not hard to tell with how Puke Smith acts. Even companies like Rockstar make quality games because they know a name will only get you so far.

A very good article.......i can say this as an ex-hardcore Destiny player.

Moderator Edit: Luke Smith is a piece of shit.

Modifié par Rinio GR : 2/16/2018 11:45:51 AMi am with you! The only mode i like in D2 is the 2V2 because i can play with my friend!.. oh wait! on 20 fed they will remove that as well!

1 commentaireI feel exactly the same way. Bungie isn’t showing us any sign of really fixing this game.

2 commentaires
https://www.usgamer.net/articles/how-destiny-2-failed-its-fanbase-analysis Good read that hits the nail on the head.
Destiny 2 reminds me of the result of a parent who teaches its child about life lessons already learned, then goes out and totally ignores their own advice... ...Epic Fail...

1 commentaireIt is wonderfully nailing so many points. Watch a D1 streamer, see him/her get excited about their first gjally at a raid's completion. Fun Watch a D2 streamer, see him/her get a token. Go back to knitting. Fatebringer, Icebreaker, Vex Mythoclast, Gjally, and all the raid weapons from the first two raids..RIP. Destiny franchise...RIP

Glad to see the article is getting more attention. I had posted it a few days ago and it was trending pretty heavily, but it had since fallen down despite having several hundred replies and likes. O well. Bump

Modifié par Tallonenx : 2/15/2018 6:45:23 AMEh kind of subpar analysis really. Folks on here have done a lot better job explaining the bad management choices. Also, this guy is a hunter fanboy. The stats from that era do not lie. Gun nerfs werent the problem, ttk, secondaries, content, and lack of story were. No one I know plays D2 now. Hopefully they can make D3...

BUNGIE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE. Thanks for sharing.

There have been exactly 2 times I’ve genuinely felt excitement for this game since the “tribute” loading screen montage that happens before the game even starts: 1) The first was when I was at work and I was reading about all the chaos the “broken” Prometheus Lense was causing in crucible and how Xur was selling it THAT FRIDAY!! I couldn’t wait to play and that was the most fun I have had in the crucible since 2) Second was when the misinterpretation of Masterworks came out and people thought you could add a whole new perk to your Uriel’s. Needless to say what we ended up getting was rather mediocre and neutered to what the expectation was Honestly, D2 feels that way overall.....neutered. I’m sure there were best intentions of balance and attracting more players with a more casual design at the risk of losing some core fans. I’m sure all their analysts figured the net gain would outweigh any losses and either they pulled an arrogant $600 PS3 (high off success of PS2) or underestimated gamers as a whole. I hope for the best but at this point I don’t think anything other than world shattering will bring me back to D2.

1 commentaireWhere's dmg04 with a slick redirect of this post in to Feedback? They saying mean things about the destiny man, bury it like you did those other posts! 😉

1 commentaireYou mean the hit piece written by the game designer that can't get a job designing games?
-
1 commentaireI think all these screw ups where intentional just to sell them as features on both the May and September content updates.
-
Agreed, was a good read. If Bungie even did half of what’s on this list then my thoughts of leaving would start to reverse.

I was wondering where this post went => 'hidden' in the Feedback section...

11 commentairesOh great, another circle-jerk for all the people who don't like Destiny 2 and yet can't stop talking about it to try and validate their own feelings rather than doing something useful with their time. We definitely need more of these on the forums.

A very fair and pretty accurate article. Static Weapon rolls are just the worst. I still remember getting my perfect Hopscotch Pilgrim. What a gun! It was probably my 30th drop of the gun. And it was worth it! Wake up bungie.

4 commentairesHere is the thing....can Bungie fix this game?? I say no. I don't think they have the proper people working there that can pull this mmo/hybrid thing off. All the Bungie veterans that made Halo great is gone. Their replacements have been half ass at best. The people in charge of design and development are either not that creative or are just rushing stuff out just to meet their contract with Activision (or both). The game is a mess and they say they are listening, but yet they still have that arrogance about them where they feel the need to "fix" things their way. Example: removes the nightfall timer by adding another type of timer. Its like, "Hello, what part of timer has you guys confused?" I will not ever buy a Bungie made product again. They have proven to me that they lost it when it comes to game development. Right now I feel like they are a one hit wonder (Halo series) and maybe they should have just stayed with Microsoft. Looking forward to a developer to come out with their version of a mmo/hybrid loot shooter (Maybe Anthem, maybe something else). When I think about it, maybe Bungie needs some healthy competition to keep them on their toes.

26 commentairesModifié par Reptile_7_ : 2/14/2018 8:42:54 PMI love all these.."static rolls are trash" posts and articles. People say they want random rolls back but in reality what they really want is better perk sets on the ones we have. When random rolls were a thing, he nailed it right on the head. Someone would find that sweet awesome combination of perks then the race was on by everyone to praise RNGesus to drop that desired roll. Then what did that get us? Everyone running around with the same gun...sound familiar? Yes you had to grind to get it which made the play fun but the result was no better than static rolls really. They can keep static rolls just give us double the perks to chose so I can make it special.
