You answered your own question. We paid for an expansion with no content. What if all 3 sets of armor, the exotic ships, exotic sparrows and shaders were actual content you could get from completing strikes/nightfalls/raids/pvp? That's many additional hours of gameplay and more items to chase for your collection. We got a lack of content. A lack of a reason to play. And then they add a bunch of items people want but the only way to get it is to pay. You can't earn them in any way.

With every expac, DLC, or event there is more and more focus on eververse instead of playable content. That's the problem.
-
Modifié par Truthiness_Inc : 12/29/2017 4:58:26 PMBecause the game is designed around funneling you into the eververse store and as such far too much content and design time is going into the skinnerbox.
-
They hate that bungie makes events that revolve around eververse and are only events for eververse. They dont add any contents just more things to buy from eververse. Bungie needs to quit making events that are just about eververse and getting things from eververse.
-
We went from, "I earned this from playing." to, "I spent $100 to get full Dawning armor." No one is complaining about the money spent, it's the incentive that was taken away. We went from Strike specific loot to Tess specific loot.

12 commentairesModifié par Swiftlock : 12/28/2017 8:54:30 PMYou're missing the point. It doesn't have to do with whether or not the items are cosmetic, or people wanting everything for free. It's because Eververse belongs in a free-to-play mobile game, not a $60 AAA sequel with a season pass. You can't directly buy the event item you want with money. The content is held behind a microtransaction random number generator that's just there to prey on gambling addicts. Destiny 2 already leaves players yearning for content. Putting more content in the game only for it to be a RNG cash grab is not a good look. If people don't complain about this, then you can bet that the problem will get worse. Activision can and will push the envelope. Just look at the patent they recently filed.

They're not angry about Eververse selling cosmetics, they're angry that most of the items that they are selling used to be earnable in-game items. The sparrows, ghost shells, ships; these were all items that were attainable through gameplay (strikes, Crucible, etc.), not from Eververse (with the exception of a few of them). That's only part of the problem. The other part is that the game has practically become centered around Eververse. Bungie has put so much time and effort into it than they have for the rest of the game, and the Dawning was the last straw because it brought nothing but more Eververse items, when we still don't have any worthwhile rewards for Adventures, Strikes, Lost Sectors, or anything else, especially thanks to the low-effort static rolls on weapons, and the removal of armor perks, replaced by a worthless Mod System that offers no real customization. Even Raid gear is no longer worth it because they made them the same as every other gear in the game, with no unique perks. This removed the main portion of the grind that worked in Destiny 1. As crazy as it sounds, because of this, Eververse items have become the main grind of the game since they're now the only worthwhile items, even though they're only cosmetic. If we're to get things back on track, there are a few things Bungie needs to do: Fix the 'static rolls' problem by giving each and every individual weapon and armor their own set of perks, with the exception of Foundry weapons (Veist, Suros, Omolon, Hakke), which should have a mixture of their own individual perks, and perks that are exclusive to that Foundry. Same thing for Raid gear. Raid armor and weapons should have their own unique perks--and raid-related perks--like they had in Destiny 1. Give us alternative ways to earn the Eververse items through in-game activities: ✔ Weekly Sparrow, Ship, and Transmat Effect quests through Amanda Holliday ✔ Shader bundles and Bright Dust from Adventures and Lost Sectors; Bright/Illuminated/Dawning Engrams from Adventure/Lost Sector Milestones ✔ Ghost Shells, Emotes, and Weapon/Armor Mods from Cayde Chests ✔ Eververse Armor sets from Strikes and Crucible ✔ Exotic Ghost Shells, Ornaments, Ships, Sparrows, and Emotes from Xur; 2 random items per week for purchase with Legendary Shards This still leaves Eververse as an alternative for players willing to spend money. Next on the list is the improvement to the Mod System. For starters, extra mod slots on weapons. One to change the weapon's Frame or rate of fire, one to customize, add, or exchange scopes and barrel upgrades that aren't a part of the weapon's set roll, and one to add bonus perks like Third Eye, Rangefinder, and Grenadier. Additionally, they should allow the Weapon Attack Mod (Kinetic) to change an Energy weapon, when applied, into a Kinetic weapon, and the reverse for Kinetic weapons when applying a Void/Solar/Arc Damage Mod to them. As for armor, split the one mod slot into 3. One for stats (Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery), one for Ability Mods (Ordinance, Paragon, Impact), and one for weapon stat mods (Counterbalance, Bracket, Munition Loader). General fixes for many of the other issues aside, the last item on the list would be activity-specific armor, weapons, ghost shells, sparrows, and ships (Strikes, Adventures, Lost Sectors). Strike-specific gear would obviously be based on the Strike boss. Lost Sector gear should be enemy-specific depending on the planet (Titan=Hive, Nessus=Fallen, EDZ=Cabal, IO=Taken, Mercury=Vex). Adventure-specific gear, on the other hand, should be gear from, or similar to NPC gear, for instance, Adventures for Hawthorne should have her sniper, or a poncho (as a Hunter cloak), as a reward, and Ikora Adventures could give you her Chest Armor, Gauntlets, or Warlock bond, as a reward.

Don’t explain shit to him people! There are at least 250 plus post on the forums explaining this. Plus you shouldn’t need a explanation, it’s pretty fucjing simple to figure out bruh.
-
Exotic ghosts. Sparrows Stuff that would have been quest rewards in d1 (as a guess) are now in loot boxes. But mostly the random bull of not knowing what you will get for your money. Not even clash of clans is that low.
-
Bungie spent too much time and effort on eververse. We have a shallow boring loot pool which would at least be padded out slightly if they dropped all of Tess gear into strikes and end game activities. How do you not hate eververse?
-
7 commentairesThere were more items added to the eververse than were added to the rest of the game with the release of Curse of Osiris. There were more items in the eververse than there were legendary guns in the base game. The only way to get a 150+ speed sparrow is through the eververse. There are only three ghosts or so you can get without the eververse. Combat is not the only aspect of the game, either. Sparrows let you travel faster, and the only way to get a faster sparrow is the eververse. Ghosts let you gain extra rewards from public events, get rep with certain factions faster or give you better radar. All of these things are in-game advantages over players who do not have the chance to obtain them. Out of 44 legendary shaders (not including the dawning ones) 27 of them are eververse exclusive. All of the transmat effects are eververse exclusive. These -are- purely cosmetic, but it goes directly against what they said in pre-release interviews. Luke Smith said he wanted players to be able to farm content to get their favorite style and shaders. We can't, because more than half the good looking shaders in the game are locked behind the eververse where, at best, we have to rely on RNG to get them.

Yeah, this game sucks.
There is no reason for Madness.
1 commentaireIt's the age of trends, one misinformed person spreads the trends to countless other easily manipulated people. They're literally spamming the forums over nothing. Overwatch has loot boxes, nobody crying. Many other games. You don't have to spend the $. Nobody is forcing them. All of a sudden they call it "gambling". Sorry but getting your mom to pay for video games and it's contents is hardly considered gambling, lol. I love the game, it's fun, it keeps me entertained for hours on end. These people will run out of tears sooner or later. School starts back eventually so 90 % of the crying will disappear.

1 commentaireI want to know the answer too... but usually the one that answered is a bunch of crybaby who really wants that emotes, ghosts, and ships bad... For me I couldn't careless about cosmetic... yes they look good but it's still not the best of the best there is... If eververse ever to sell great weapon or progression behind paywall maybe then... but it's not
-
Its just bunch of cosmetics, but yes it is annoying system like the lootsystem in general in this game. But HOW it is eververses fault? How does eververse give you an advantage in combat? Are people really crying about emotes, ghosts and ships? Shouldnt people be crying over the 35e season pass that so far has given no actual content? Please explain it to me.
These posts are really starting to Vex me people need to grow up and use the forums for good not pathetic stuff like this. Destiny 2 needs some fixing and balancing to make it great not people crying about an npc selling optional cosmetics this is getting ridiculous!
-
1 commentaire
Shouldnt people be crying over the 35e season pass that so far has given no actual content?
So I take it you missed the part where eververse is part of the expansions by virtue of it getting updated once one was released? Eververse is taking dev resources away from making the content you actually want. That's why it is a problem lol. How it is no one seems to understand this is baffling. That goes for defenders and those asking for its removal.

16 commentairesinstead of the gear being unique to certain events and giving an incentive to playing those events , they're behind a paywall and bright engrams. barely anyone does the strikes , lost sectors , adventures etc , there's no reason to,.
-
Imo its because bungie has been spending more time making cosmetic stuff and putting it behind the pay wall instead of expanding the game with cooler looking armor and weapons, not to mention more weapons that are actually good the Forge weapons are a good start but there are only 11 of them also they could have introduced more strike exclusive armor especially for mercury i mean the armor osiris had was pretty cool imo and we get sagira's shell so why stop there give they could give us armor based off of the designs of the legendary hero's armor from the lore i mean we got the helm of saint 14 so why stop there
-
4 commentairesIt’s not ok for games to put the best looking stuff behind a paywall. It’s not about cosmetics. It’s about Bungie not allowing players to earn nicer looking items and instead only allowing them to buy those items. And if it is about cosmetics, gamers have a right to customzie their characters. A lot of gamers like to identify with their characters or control them. So if they want their character to look a certain way, there is nothing wrong with that. Just because someone cares about cosmetics does not mean they don’t care about the actual gameplay itself too.
-
Idk can you explain to me why they put all of the cool shit we could have gotten in the endgame locked behind a paywall? Can you explain to me why Bungie didn’t allow us to get dawning engrams from leveling up? I can explain one thing: the community is pissed, and for a good reason.
-
Back in 2005 people complained about DLC's, and how a finished game should ship complete, not split into parts and piece-mealed out over time. Now it is hard to find a game that does not have season passes, DLC, etc. These things have become common place in the general community's mindset. Look now at MT's - they have been creeping their way into games for a short while now, but they are close to becoming another common place concept that, in 10 years time, people will believe were just always something that existed. These trends start somewhere - MT's are one we sincerely need to end now before it takes over every game that hits the general marketplace.

People hate that shop because they pay real cash for Nothing fixed its basically paying real cash to gamble for a random outcome. In many contry's this type of shop is breaking business Trading Laws. So it offends most of the Planet.

10 commentairesSure.... its cry baby kids who don’t have a job....

The removal of perks form armour, and static rolls on weapons leave cosmetics as one the main reasons why people are still playing. Most of the new stuff added in the dlc was put in Eververse.
