The nerf to the shoulder charge distance basically sums up how tone deaf they are. Destiny 2 feels so much slower, clunkier, and just overall weaker than Destiny 1 ever did. No movement, weak weapons, a terrible weapon system and just overall another half baked game that we are going to have to wait 3 years for something resembling the content that we should be getting with launch titles.
Does this impact the game a lot? no but it further cuts down on mobility in this game which is already a far cry from the ability to titan skate. That should have been embraced like rocket jumping was in quake or unreal as a cool, community found thing. Instead they nerf it, forcing us into this slow, plodding, boring way to play the game.
This update has no meaningful changes other than ways to get the static rolled gear faster, buy more cosmetic stuff, and still have no real depth to the progression systems or rankings 4 years later. It doenst address any of the major power feeling complaints that many people have, nor does it address this, as Sc Slayerage put it, suck ass weapon system.
Bungie is tone deaf with their patches and balance changes. They make content that lasts two weeks, roll in the money from idiots (i'm including myself in that) and then keep on making pretty looking content that lacks absolutely any depth. Make set loadouts for PVP that disable weapon perks, add random perks back, give us our movement back, and get rid of this suck ass weapon system

5 commentaireswhy would they even give a shit about the distance?it was almost totally useless now anyway because it can't ohk in PvP and does crap for damage in PvE.
-
I realized it before I even read about it. I got on, started running, triggered shoulder charge and said, “did they nerf this?” I redid it again to see and said, “yes, they nerfed it”. WTF?

4 commentairesThey should just rename Shoulder Charge Shoulder Hug and get it over with already. the flavor text can be"Hugs are for Friendship!!

4 commentairesModifié par ULiano_III : 12/5/2017 9:19:57 PMWhat was the problem with the distance? Wth? Lol. Just random nerfs thrown around for no reason. I bet it has something to do with the Raid Lair and possibility of getting to places they dont want you to be. Its not like it was a complaint in PvP either. Because a SC would barley get you out of your shield its so weak.
-
They also nerfed the titans jump. It’s not the same. I don’t get it, there was nothing wrong
-
Sorry guys. I accidentally killed someone with shoulder charge once. That must be the reason for the nerf.
-
2 commentairesI thought I heard they nerfed it because people were using it to glitch into places they weren't suppose to be

3 commentairesBungie does this... Remember the Truth nerf in D1?
-
I don't main a titan, I ha'rdly played it in D1, but BUT another guy brought up a good point in the replies....TITANS ARE THE TANK CLASS SO WHY DO THREE FEEL SO MEH? Titans need to feel like a Tank Melee. BUNGIE please don't nerf what makes the TITAN A TITAN.
-
*sigh* Who in their right mind thought ‘oh! Shoulder charge already can’t 1hit so what we’ll do is make it harder to use so people can find ‘alternative play styles’. This seems like a GREAT idea. I️ gotta go tell someone.’ Being a titan main myself, I️ already feel weak as hell. I️ can’t tank for shit, I️ can’t deal dmg with any of my guns, and now the funnest part is nerfed? Wtf bungo... I️ had high hopes for the changes they listed in the blog post, but if this is what they plan to do, I’m done.

I'm confused about the part where they didn't nerf fusion rifles, like, at all. shadow nerf? double secret fusion rifle nerfs? is *that* your angle, you heartless bastards?
-
It might have to do with how Sentinels are able to shoulder charge and close the gap in PvP. It has a fairly long dash distance, that allows people to close the gap on fleeing combatants. I don't think it really has anything to do with the (mobility) ability to slightly charge forward from time to time.

2 commentairesYeah this yet another example of how inept their team is. A big part of the fun in D1 (playing a Titan I mean) was skating around the map and making smart use of shoulder tackle (especially with the Stand Asides for extra duration) to make very tight turns in the air to change direction without losing too much momentum, or simply throw people off in PvP (and if you had a Twilight Garrison on you could juke people even harder by throwing in an air dash or two after the tackle). I personally had to deal with some pretty insane Titans doing this sort of thing (I mained Hunter but played all 3) and while it could be infuriating at the time, I appreciated the level of skill it took to pull off those maneuvers. But nope, gotta pull the skill ceiling waaaay down so Bungie can make the game as "competitive" as possible...

Not to my surprise Titan main.

2 commentairesModifié par DemonOrigami : 12/6/2017 3:16:12 AMPerhaps don't shoulder charge then. Lol sucks doesn't DocDoom? XD

I'm done. Selling this shit game tomorrow
-
Ewwwwww this is real???
-
They nerfed shoulder charge and hammer of sol, why???
-
It was definitely uncalled for. What they did initially with shoulder charge was great. It could be used for all around mobility and it couldn’t be spammed because it went on cooldown after it landed a hit. Now it slows you down a ton, killing your momentum, and can only used for damage while grounded.
-
We don't pay to play our way. We pay to play the way Bungie wants us to play. Which includes playing with our wallet.
-
Shoulder charge...it goes.too.far.plz.nerf. Said nobody ever
-
Was not happy logging in to this change :(
-
The problem is everything good so terrible that anything that is remotely effective seems overpowered by comparison. See pulse grenades... they got a nerf... they weren’t nearly as powerful as D1... but they were effective as grenades... can’t have that.
-
It nerfed the distinct you could travel while it was charged in the air
-
2 commentairesAgreed. And a scout rifle nerf? Goddam idiots.
