Hey, there.
Tomorrow, we had planned to conduct the final stream prior to the launch of “Curse of Osiris” to show off some of the weapons and armor the expansion includes. Instead, we are investing all our efforts into delivering some higher priority information about Destiny 2. You’ll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they’ll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you’ll also learn about how we’re reacting to your feedback with some game updates that will arrive in the next few weeks.
That will appear on the Bungie Blog on Wednesday.
Thank you,
DeeJ

This is a good thing to do. It would be nice to hear that the weapon system will be changed back but I'm managing my expectations.

Modifié par MeatSnack : 11/28/2017 10:15:32 PMTrolls are trolling, glad no stream. You gave to much away. Show less. Game, show more behind the scene, art work and so on. Let the people here discover the content. Just a hint, a mint one. The the game is good still. Just listen to the feedback and a reach around will be coming over a steak lunch Deej.

@Deej So when you say this will appear on the Bungie Blog, does that mean there won’t be a stream to discuss this stuff, just a blog entry? If so, maybe later this week you could still stream (or just post a video of) some of the content you were going to show us so we aren’t missing out on the cool stuff (armor/weapon previews) in favor of the crisis control stuff you guys are pushing out tomorrow? Either way, glad to know you guys are committed as ever to keeping the community at the top of your list of stakeholders. I don’t envy you guys having to figure out how to keep us all happy and I know me and many of the other Destiny fans I’ve played with appreciate your efforts - even if the process requires some trial and error.

As a casual player I just wanted to say thank you. This iteration of Destiny still has way too much for me to do....but at least now I do not feel like I am so far behind. Happy to be back after legacy support was dropped in 2016. The PC build is spectacular. You guys did an awesome job. OUT.

Actually listen to us and you might make some money lol

Guardian have no house, he kneels before no nerf, owes allegiance to no Meta. Guardian is a loot farmer, and very good at what he does. Bungie has been tracking loot farmer since Red Legion chained their light, yes? Now Guardian loot for fun, but not for long. Bungie has come to ruin the plunder. Avenge the poor ratings. Stop Guardian from stealing the loot. Loot cooldown distortion! Deej just above you. Ooooh, Deej has called you out, Guardian. You have been challenged in the ways of old. Deej is jamming our comms. Fight well, Guardian. Fight for loot.
No offense Deej...may your 🔫 be true...if you're still 🎮
Thank you for this. I am hoping for a great update with plans that will better the game. I love this series and I just want to see it do good.

Will the issues that hounded the first game ever be addressed, by anyone? I get that's come and gone, but it really feels like D2 is a continuation of the bad designs, flawed communication in development, and tone-deaf(ness?) exhibited in vanilla Destiny 1. I want the old talent system back, big team battle/old crucible gametypes(I know private matches were mentioined in the blog but didn't see anything about custom games), fireteams of 4, kiosks, story that doesn't conveniently wrap up at the end of a short campaign... This is lacking stuff that was good in the first game and stuff that make RPGs good in general. Sure the shooting is great, but the simplification isn't, and my character feels like a spectator to everything. Lastly, Cortana was right; I can't stick it. Not anymore. Because tripmine grenades DONT STICK TO PEOPLE NOW.

Modifié par Cubsfan3493 : 11/28/2017 10:50:46 PMYessssssss that is the message I have been waiting for. I will watch this one for sure. I know Bungie wants people to love their games, they have almost never had a bad one. I had faith in you guys from the beginning, so let's make some changes. Just make it D1 with a D2 reskin. That would be sweeeeeet!

Modifié par BMacD2112 : 11/28/2017 11:07:26 PMI/We paid real money for this game and invested more than money, we invested our time and I am glad we are going to get some answers. Constructive feedback is what is needed. When someone calls your baby ugly you get defensive and pull back, You can say "this is not right", but you need to give feedback that is useful, "I suggest this change", and why you would do it. Constructive feedback is what is needed.

Modifié par Wing Zero : 11/28/2017 10:33:16 PMDeej, For the the negativity and flak you get you do a great job! We're all people who love this universe that Bungie has made. Even though we may be frustrated with the current state of Destiny 2 at this moment I believe in the end it'll get better. The things that made Destiny great was the lore, the loot and the power fantasy(maybe the primary/special/heavy weapon loadout played into that) we experienced as we went on our journey to Become Legend. I just wanna continue my journey on to Become Legend in the Destiny universe in Destiny 2 and beyond. I have hope and faith in you and the team at Bungie! Looking forward to tomorrow and beyond.

Modifié par Ravontulet : 11/28/2017 10:49:37 PMIn all the years of Destiny. never have we had Bungie step up to the table to speak directly about the plans they have for the game or any comment on feedback from us as a playerbase. This is a huge step in the right Direction. IMO I am really looking forward to this stream. ------------------ In D2, the overall dumbing-down of the game and removal of any meaningful endgame has caused this backlash. I don't agree with a lot of changes made to D2 from a "this is how the game works" point of view - but everything would have been OK of there were meaningful things to do. and meaningful stuff to GET. - Heroic Strikes: I know these are coming with Osiris DLC - but will there be modifiers to make it fun, or strike-specific loot to make it, worth doing past being fun) ?? - Hard mode: raid gear, with raid specific perks, not only color changed. Weapons what were locked into the hard mode, ie the only way to get X weapon is in the hard mode. - Random weapon roles: or keep the fixed roles and give us a mod system that is not so useless). - More crucible playmodes: Put in Rumble, Rift, Combined arms, inferno, mayhem - stick all the fun stuff and game modes into its own 3rd playlist - with 6v6. How about private Matches ?? I think there are solutions to these problems and I hope that Bungie realizes sooner rather than later that there were things at the end of D1 that should have carried over to D2. Things that would have made it a lot more fun. Is D2 a BAD game, NO - but there is so much potential wasted and it should have been so much more. Do I feel bad for getting it, or the DLCs - NO - they're all paid for months ago. and I will play when there is actually stuff to do or get. Again - I hope the conversation tomorrow is positive.

It's about time you address the most important issue: What does Lord Shaxx look like?
-
Modifié par Quiis : 11/28/2017 10:15:00 PMLooking forward to hear what you think. I have been really satisfied with the game, and the choice to remove the gamble-like addiction from the loot system. I know that a lot of people like that, but with 2500 hours logged in D1, I am happy to have a healthier relationship to the game, and to play what I want to play instead of grinding activities for the sake of progression. I have been good with every update to D1 due to the change in meta and content, and am totally looking forward to the future of D2. Thanks for a great game, that you listen to the community of, and constantly improve to keep interesting. Just give me my tiny dance back please!
-
DeeJ, please make it so that what you say won't let us down. I have faith and I will always have it, no matter what the problems are. Anyway, I'm still enjoying the game even after I reached 305 on all Characters. Public Events have a surprising amount of replay value. Good job on the team
-
Deej - Thanks for the update. Normally I don't go out of my way to worry about watching the streams, but I'm definitely planning on tuning in for this one. I realize that the change to the stream was more than likely a reactionary one given the concerns regarding the game, but I am hoping that this paves the ground work to have more streams in the future where you talk about the current state and what is coming in the future. I know that a lot of people would be really happy if you all started to be a little more pro-active with communicating with the community. Since we're talking about being more open about communication (hopefully), please take into consideration that not all of us use Twitter or frequent Reddit and so it would be nice to see a little more activity here on the forums. P.S. Why isn't this pinned? I only came across this from a reply that someone made in another thread. It's not even hitting in the top of the daily trending threads.

Bungie/Activision is selling Destiny to EA, aren't they? Just say it.
-
Thank you for acknowledging the issue, I hope that in the 3 months you’ve had, you’ve made some really great changes to help the game out of its current state. Good luck tomorrow.
-
Well, better don´t disappoint us Bungie! I want to love you, but you have done some stupid stuff the past months!
-
Modifié par FPSJosh : 11/28/2017 10:23:13 PMGreat can’t wait for all the complainers to get their way with changes and then complain more that changes actually happened. 👍 I think the game is great so far and can’t wait for the expansions.
-
I appreciate everything you do. Through all the salt (and i'm sure i'll get some), keep doing what you do bud! I know Destiny 2 is..and will continue to be great.
-
Looking forward to it. Thank you.

This is what we've all been waiting for, Thank you for doing this. We the Destiny community have been biting out nails off waiting for something to come out. Although, I do have one thing to say. I mainly play PvP, Rarely touch PvE (I only do the stuff i need to). I know in Destiny 1 there was a lot of ups and downs throughout the 3 years with the community not being happy with certain weapons all the time. But even through this time. We all enjoyed it deep down, Destiny 2. I've really not enjoyed whatsoever, The PvP was super fun at the start for the first month or so. Then it came to my attention, I'm sure everyone else's too. It was difficult to go into PvP as a solo player in Competitive. All the teams would just clamp down on you not giving a chance for you to fight back this is only 1 reason why we need a 1-Player Fireteam playlist like Rumble, Maybe something new? We don't always have teams to play with & personally Rumble is one of the most satisfying gamemodes in Destiny 1 PvP. Sorry for rambling on, I could keep going. But i'd rather not... I don't know if you guys at Bungie will see this, if you do. Please know, We trust in you to make Destiny 2 a great game just like Destiny 1 is! -Grim

Modifié par ManBearPigIets : 11/28/2017 10:14:15 PMI've known many game developers over the years, spoken with many Bungie employees over the years, watched most of the vidocs and streams, and their enthusiasm is palpable. I don't think there should be any doubt that they love making games and try to make them fun, they make games they want to play as their slogan goes. People get upset, and react as if it was an malicious attempt towards personally whenever something is screwed up against their favor. But they do it from a place of wanting the game to be better, or they wouldn't be here. I hope it doesn't get to you guys so much when the forums are flooded with the easy topic of complaining, you do a hard job well DeeJ.

OOOOH scary. I hope you don't just fold and make this D1, 2.0. I actually like a lot of the changes.
