I don`t know about you fellow guardians, but I don`t like the new weapon system at all. In my opinion it`s too boring and stale especially in crucible. New system was made to help the crucible feel more balance, but it took away the fun factor for me. I know that`s not easy to do and it needs a proper balance, but still I have hope that Bungie can do it in the future.
Do you think if Bungie bring back old waepon system it`s gonna be better for the game or you think that the current system is better?

Dear Shradd why do you care. You don't even play the game anymore. And when you do all you do is cry about , guns, handcanons, even more guns, pvp, pvp, guns in pvp, granades in pvp, jumping in pvp, running in pvp, pvp again.
-
It won’t return. They would have to redo so much in he games coding and they can’t even figure out the Calus cheese.
-
This, objectively, can't happen. What we need to start asking for is ways to improve the current system. This is what we have now, we need to make the most of it. If they just increase the availability of power ammo, trust me virtually nobody would be complaining, especially about PvE. And any complaints would be about the PvP ammo economy, not the weapon system per se.

73 commentairesModifié par TheShadow-cali : 10/30/2017 6:00:19 AMIMO they should of never changed it. Everyone knows it was because of PvP whether they like to admit it or not. It's like the leveling system, another thing that never needed to be changed as well as the loot system that is causing gamers to quit this game. Tokens anyone? lol The load outs are boring. I have had no reason whatsoever to use shotguns, snipers, grenade launchers knowing the lack of heavy ammo. Even then running PvE they serve no real purpose when you have 2 primary slots. The pulse, scout riffles and auto riffles are used the most because of range, ammo and the impact. they are the most effect in this game that most will use. Multi tool anyone? Why would I use a sniper when a scout almost has the same range with more ammo? Why would I use shotguns when a fusion riffle has the power and more range? Why would I even use a grenade launcher that really doesn't have any effect when a rocket launcher is a hell of a lot more effective? I don't know the guys name that came up with the idea of 2 primaries, but gamers will always use weapons that have range and ammo that are a lot more effective unless you are the type that likes to be up front and personal. In D1 each slot played it's roll. D2 a lot of weapons are not used and are a waste of time because they have no incentive to want to use them. Yes, I know some of you do use a variety but the reality is, most weapons are not used because of the 2 primaries. You know what's really funny about this? Bungie stated along the lines back in y2 that they were trying to create a variety, and how did they think they were going to do this knowing a lot of weapons were not being used? They created a "meta change" that is actually called nerfing the most popular to force gamers to use weapons that have less of a value. Well, here it is D2 and they just made that issue they were so worried about gamers not using certain weapons that now it's going to be twice as bad versus D1. Can someone tell me how the hell could they not see this after 3 years of fighting gamers to try to get them to use weapons that had less of a value? Edit: Had to add this :) Yesterday I saw the post about Jade Rabbit, well you know where I was lol Then after a week I think that I haven't touched D2, I decide to see what Xur had. Lone be hold he had an exotic sniper. Sure, why not, I have all them shards just collecting dust so I get it. As most I decide to check it out. 3 shots, well that was fun. Go to look in my inventory, Whoop! this isn't D1... After that, I shut the game down and jumped on D1.

I don't think it is the weapon slot system. While I agree that sniper and shotguns seem off in a power slot weapon slot, look at the way they were used in Destiny 1. No one used primaries at all. You can still use these weapons but you have to make a choice. Rocket launcher or shotgun. Not much of a choice but there is you want it. What I don't like is the ammo system. Nobody engages for the first 30 secs because they are camping heavy. Also ttk is so slow that the guy running sword has enough time to cross that corridor whilst you are putting bullets into him and 1 hit kill you. I don't want swords nerfed because they are fun and crossing that corridor won't be as easy as you think with the current team shooting meta. I think primaries should have higher ttk. I think a higher primary ttk would greatly benefit crucible all around. Note. Please do not bring back ice breaker

5 commentairesYOU GUYS ARE FORGETTING HOW MUCH YOU RAGED 24/7 ABOUT HOW OP EVERY SPECIAL WAS IN YEAR ONE. WAH HES USING SHOTGUN AS A PRIMARY WAH PRIMARY SNIPER WAH TOO MUCH SPECIAL AMMO WAH ONE SHOTS ALL THE TIME. BUT NOW YOURE LIKE WAH I WANT SPECIALS BACK! CAN WE FOCUS ON ISSUES THAT MATTER INSTEAD OF GOING FROM HATING THEM TO WANTING BU GIE TO REWORD THE WJOLE SYSTEM???!?! THEY NEED TO FIX CRUCIBLE FIRST
-
D1 system is superior IMO
-
I do like the idea of kinetic and energy weapons, but after playing some D1 over the weekend I prefer D1 weapons and load outs more. I
-
God no. The current system works much better.
-
Love the new system way better than the old.
-
This system is actually pretty decent the only thing that makes it “stale” is that it is a static roll on all weapons, bringing back the grind for the best rolls was the biggest time consumer and they stole that from us leaving us to play other games while waiting for new content!
-
So anyone would use snipers again? No thanks i am fine with the system. Only the power slots need some changes
-
I disagree. I prefer the new system because it makes PvP feel fairer (to me - I'm not elite). Although I will admit the D1 system has some good memories... as well as not so great ones. :)
-
Pvp I like this kinetic, element and power because I don't have to be afraid to show my head in the wild little longer to get one shot Ted by a sniper that was the major problem. This ain't cod. I like this but they should bring 6v6.

1 commentaireI miss snipers in PvE. I don't miss them in pvp. That is the only change worth noting.
-
I actually like the new weapon system for D2 but I love sniping so I do miss that. I just think they need to add more options to crucible, - choice of gamemode - private matches ( 2018 confirmed if I remember ) - Free for all ( solo que only ) And I would really like a gun cycle game, yes I know it's just a copy from call of duty but it's just an option for people to play to use all there arsenal instead of a select few. Just adding them I think would make a big difference
-
Meh, I've adapted and grown to like the new system

The whole game engine is built around that system. Asking for a change is pretty much, well, pointless. They certainly will not change that. As someone who spend over 5000 hours in D1, all I can say is that I really don‘t care. Power ammo drops plenty in D2, especially in Strikes they put majors on certain spots and you are almost gauranteed getting a brick drop from them. As a matter of fact I do enjoy having two guns I can use all the time. D1 was basically your one primary for all the weak stuff, special only against any yellow bar or bosses (sniping bosses was literally what everyone did). The heavy was purely for crowd control in most cases. So naturally you barely used your special ammo. And that‘s a waste of a weapon slot if you ask me. I don‘t have to worry about that in D2 tbh. Triggering the shield explosions with energy weapons, which do good damage, is a fun mechanic. It rewards matching elements even further. It‘s also nice to get some bonus damage on your opponent’s super. And we „basically“ have elemental primaries. Having a Scout and Handcannon equipped at the same time is fun to use. That‘s something I always wanted to have, but never asked for tbh. It came with the price of balance (for PvP), so they put the specials into the heavies. I was expecting that when they talked about the new weapon system. So, in the end I don‘t prefer a certain system over another. It‘s a different game, has a different sandbox and mechanics and yet we melt trough every encounter and boss by now. I have fun with it, and that‘s what counts for me.

This new weapon system is awful but sadly I can't see them changing it. Too much work and would essentially rework the entire game. But I really hate this new system. I have since beta and it really kills some fun out of the game.
-
If we could just go back to infusing weapons to any other weapon as long as it’s the same class (kinetic, energy, power) that would be great.
-
I like the new weapons: kinetic, energy and power.
-
1 commentairePLEASE NEVER BRING THAT BACK

2 commentairesShould be different for PVE/PVP. But we've been saying that for years now. For PVP, I don't really miss the sliding shotgunners in EVERY, SINGLE, GAME like it was in D1. I barely see them now thanks to the new system. For PVE, it should be different and allow you to revert back to the D1 config and carry scout/sniper/rocket or whatever your load out was back then.
-
Yes and no. In strikes and some other PvE I miss having a sniper AND a rocket launcher. That was pretty handy. However I love having 2 primary weapons. I like having a long range and a close range weapon so it's usually a scout rifle and auto rifle but I really enjoy nameless midnight and risk runner or sunshot. Sometimes I just want to go all auto rifle and I don't want to run out of ammo so I carry 2 ARs. I never used snipers that much so for me it's a good change but I can see how a player who used sniper a lot wouldn't like it.
-
I just think Power ammo needs to be more available in PvP it's spawns every 1:30? Maybe add an additional spawn or just allow all teammates near it to pick it up but maybe give half ammunition then. It is a team based game after all and people are literally pushing each other off of the ammo to acquire it.
-
I see majority of players prefered D1 system and honestly I hope Bungie realize that this new weapon system is not fun and should go. I dont think minor changes to the game will bring back that fun factor. My opinion is that D2 needs a huge overhaul especialy the PVP. I realy love Destiny but I just cant play it anymore. Last night my friends were convincing me to the raid for 4h. I did it just because one of my clanmates did not finished it yet. We finished the raid and quit immediately. I know there will be people saying " Yo you know D1 vanila did not have content either " , but the fun in PVP and replaying VOG was making me coming back every single day.
