Granted, some people are in different time zones, but i wished bungoe would do what the division and other games do and do maintenence in middle of night when fewer players are effected.

1 commentaireI knew i would get the responses that i got. Deal is you do maintenance that affects the least number of people. Other game companies do maintenance in that way . Why not bungie.
-
It's always the middle of the day somewhere
-
1 commentaireI get how you feel, I work 430pm-2am US central time, but I understand that no matter when they do it it will inconvenience people. When they did it is just what works best for their staff. It kind of sucks but at the end of the day it's not a big deal
-
Almost as if they do it during regular work hours. Real head scratcher that one.
Granted, some people are in different time zones, but i wished bungoe would do what the division and other games do and do maintenence in middle of night when fewer players are effected.
Hello there snowflake. Not sure what you are talking about because outside of that little bubble you're living in it wasn't the middle of the day for the actual world outside of your bubble.

Sorry i offended so many. Didnt mean to. Was just curious about maintenance timing. I know it really screws around Europe as well. Didnt know so many people would get so upset.

1 commentaireyou are an idiot..

1 commentaire1. It's affected, not effected. 2. It's the middle of the day somewhere for someone, and the game has a pretty global player base. Middle of the night for you may be afternoon or evening for others. 3. While inconvenient, I'd rather they do these things during normal business hours so when something does go bad, everyone is already there instead of relying on a skeleton crew to do it and then having to wait to call in other personnel if something goes wrong. These are people who have families and lives, let them do their thing during normal work hours for them and get over it. I may seem mean and acerbic here, but that's because I've been in this position a lot in my life, and trust me, a 1 or 2 am go-live on my end doesn't make things work any easier or faster on the customer end most times, and it just really inconveniences me and my department in a lot of ways.

1 commentaireWorks for me I'm at work, est time here, can't get mad that. Look at the release of destiny 2, Overseas had it made, can't get mad at that. During the time destiny is down for Maintence, take the time to reflex over your life, do your homework, cut the grass, shave the beard, flush the toilet, update your FB status, call grandma tell her thanks for last years presents, exercises, etc.

4 commentairesis everyone daft? They work in the PST time zone.. so maintenance is done when they are at work. If they were located in different time zones they would do maintenance there at those times. It is the middle of the night in Austrailia right now.. perfect for them.. try to think bit more globally and less self centered.

3 commentairesHow long is the maintenance for?
-
I get the timing because its first thing in the morning in the US but reset day is a pain surely they could of done it yesterday instead
-
Time zone. Malmo, Sweden (IIRC) is on Central European time, whereas Bellevue, WA is on US Pacific Time. Which is a spread of 9 hours. So it's all about what time zone you're in during THEIR normal business hours. Being on US Eastern time, Bungie always does their maintenance in (what is for me) the late morning to early afternoon. Massive, OTOH, does theirs in the early morning hours before I go off to work. Bottomline, they do maintenance during their normal business hours, so they have everyone available to fix problems if something goes wrong.

I work 3rd. Killed my morning. Probably for the best though. Shit drops on caydes treasures again, 4 heroic public events, just blues. Be nice to be able to get the strum quest to the next step.

This !!!!

Divisions maintenance was 5pm for me. Doesn't matter what timezone you are in its an inconvenience for someone.
-
You can't mention time zones then say they should do it for the middle of the night.

Modifié par Titan main : 9/12/2017 2:46:05 PMIt needs to happen. The app is shit right now and I've been constantly getting "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers". Edit: It would suck to get booted from the raid tomorrow.

2 commentairesI expect the maintenance occurs during Bungie business hours because all the employees are there to work on it or resolve any problems. If it was done off hours, overtime or comp time would need to be paid and some would get called in off hours to resolve any problems.
-
2 commentairesBungie work hours...................... Plus no matter what time they do maintenance someone will bitch because it's "during there peak playtime" so get over it and go outside.
-
Modifié par Lord__Nazul : 9/12/2017 2:42:54 PMI'm in CST zone so it works out great for me. The maintenance time happens while I'm at work and can't play anyway. I can see however it would be a pain for those in Europe. It's 9:41AM in Texas. Should be about 3:41PM in London if my time zone knowledge is correct. The schedule is based around 7:00AM Pacific time. Bungie is located in Bellevue, Washington I believe so using Pacific time would make sense.

hah. middle of the night for me! suck it boi
