Making shaders unlimited would quickly mean that we have less things to hunt for. Making them purchasable from the kiosk with glimmer and/or other materials available in game (legendary shards, etc.) would be a way to improve the economy in game, by giving us something else to use as a glimmer sink at end game and would remove the "use it and lose it" feeling we have now, and be a nice middle ground overall.

I agree so the shaders will not feel like a consumable but something you dismantled and you can get it again in the collection.

72 commentairesThanks for the suggestion. We will continue to monitor feedback on Shaders as you play through the end game. I've made the team aware that a lot of players feel strongly about how the Shader system in D2 works.

4 commentairesI truly cannot bring myself to use any shaders. I have some gorgeous shaders, but only three of each. I can only choose 3 pieces of gear to match and the moment I replace the gear the colors are wasted. Forget it. I'm gonna hold onto them and hope for a time when we can laugh about this silliness. Remember all the nervousness when Eververse launched, and we kept saying that micro transactions are a slippery slope? This is exactly the sort of thing we were afraid of.

I see shaders are a blight on the tower tonight, It's really kind of obscene. A community of inflammation, and Cozmo? He's the..queen... c.c The players are howling like this swirling storm inside... Couldn't learn to deal, heaven knows I tried...... "Don't let them have fun, don't let them see how good a game this really could be Conceal (for real?) don't let them know..... How much we bloooow!" Bungie blows! Bungie Blows! Don't hold it back anymore! Bungie blows! Bungie blows! We are not their f***ing whores! I DON'T CARE WHAT BUNGIE HAS TO SAY! LET THE SHIT STORM RAGE ONNNNNNNNNNNN! THEIR SALT NEVER BOTHERED ME ANYWAY.
-
Yeah. Right now the shader system is a rip off.
-
I'm behind it. I have way too much glimmer.
-
If they added a vendor that lets you buy previously unlocked shaders, including some from D1 (I miss my old guard shader), and preview the ones you've yet to unlock I wouldn't be so angry with the shader system and I'd finally have something to spend my hoard of glimmer on...that stuff accumulates quickly.
-
Hmm, this isn't a bad idea. I can get behind this. I am not 100% sold on the idea that shaders are no longer unlimited, but what I am NOT okay with is Bungie's current system. I will hold off my extreme disapproval rant of the current system until I see what Bungie is working on to revise the system (as I heard they are currently doing).
-
Great suggestion!
-
Im down with this
-
This will do for me.
-
1 commentairea better idea would be is if you get enough of the same shaders you can turn them into a perma shader.
-
I'd personally like to rep Veist and be given a Fan boy pack full of shaders, emblems, sparrows, ships and maybe even armor. I mainly want the Veist poison shaders for that purpose. LET ME BE THE ADVERTISEMENT
-
2 commentairesYou people just don't get it. The shaders are a big pull from the eververse, a big reason why we rush over to decrypt our bright engrams. Why do tou think we have to go to the eververse and not the Cryptarch? If you make your shaders you've found be able to be purchased, you wont be tempted to go to the eververse all the time, thus not ve tempted to buy silver. Its Bungies bigger picture.

5 commentairesHaven't bought destiny 2 yet but I'm hesitant to because shady shit like this. It seems kinda redundant to make them burn after use. Why not just make them last forever? Why isn't their a kiosk for that type of shit? Like couldn't we just buy them with glimmer again once we unlock them? I mean we'll still grind but we will get what we want more reliably. Then bungie can gloat about play time and players can be happy we look like space warriors and not a kids idea of a space park ranger. It seems like either A. bungie didn't think this through or B. they did think this through but they wanted to milk more form the players who actually gave a shit about how they look. Banking on the fact that the comunity will disregard their complaints. Because God forbid their game gets criticized even if it's about somthing they claim they don't give a shit about

Best solution to this problem I have seen yet. I would love to see it implemented.
-
I would love to see this
-
I'd be fine with this
-
Hopefully they do this. Bump
-
While I am aware the game is new, I wonder if there is a possibility for kiosks for sparrows, ghosts, and other things? (Hope Cozmo sees this but chances are low)
-
I don't mind the current system. Already have a lot of shaders. Think this idea is a good compromise. But I'm okay grinding as well
-
Had this exact thought last night and when I logged in this morning I was pleased to see someone else had posted it first. It's a fantastic idea and if Bungie implements it well, it actually should enhance end-game grind.
-
I'd be fine with single use if there was a vender that sold the shaders you discover for glimmer.
-
I actually found a shader I liked, but found better gear. Infused the pretty shader and now it's gone. I don't even remember what it was called. Shame.
-
Just adding on to your idea, why not make it so the only shaders you can buy from the kiosk are ones you have found as oppose to having them all available. Or did you imply that?
