Merely playing Devils advocate as I have no intention of playing on PC
How would you compensate Controller players for the greater accuracy of KB/M and the recoil on a Controller in PvP or should they be at a disadvantage instead

There is nothing to compensate, you just chose to play with a device that isn't made for aiming. It's unfair in PvP to give someone an aimbot just because they can't work the analog sticks properly. PvP is competitive and there is nothing competitive about aimbot vs mouse. In PvE it doesn't matter since it's not competitive anyway. We don't get compensated for not being able to walk slowly like with an analog stick. We don't get compensated with driving games, we can only press full speed or no speed. We don't get compensated for turning in cars, we can't make smooth corners, we have to tap A/D. Aim-assist has never been a thing on PC in PvP, it's not something new... Keep it on console, it's a normal thing there but not on PC.

Aim bot is not the same as aim assist. All aim assist does is slow the reticule when aiming across an enemy. It is there to compensate for the lack of precision in a Controller. It is completely false to think that you can aim at someone's feet and get a head shot with aim assist. With an aim bot perhaps but not aim assist. The KB/M is far more accurate than a Controller, for a start the Controller has a dead zone around the sticks and there is recoil. Neither of these exist with a KB/M. It is one of the reasons that 'cheats' including a number of Streamers and You Tubers in D1 played with the KB/M on Consoles. If PC players want to cheat with an aim bot that is on them and not on players who wish to use a Controller. Given that Controller use is an option on PC then it would be grossly unfair to place those players at a disadvantage. I am only talking about this in relation to Destiny not any other games.
