But I will say it. I'm happy that trials will be gone for a good long while. I have always loved the armor, but trials is just a horrid game mode to me. Most of the community I've seen are just horrible paid carries while the other half is laggers, terrible community members with way too big egos, and just generally way too much anger spawning from this one game mode. Here's to hoping, even as a PvE main, that trials doesn't turn the community of Destiny 2 just as bad.
Edit: Trending wow. Glad so many agree.

You completely ignored the Trials players who play for fun each and every week, that try their best with their friends. Trials isn't the problem here. It's players who think they're better than others. Now, I don't know about you, but the whole Gjallarhorn era of PvE Destiny was quite horrid too, especially when it came to raiding.

14 commentairesNot to sound cliché but as awful as the community may be in some parts, alot of your apparent resentment towards the mode mainly just comes down to you not being a good player and having that insecurity of feeling like you can't compete. We've all felt it, just be honest about it. That goes to anybody reading, lol.
-
Yeah... So much ego just for one game mode. Trials should end right now.
-
Trials was, in essence a good idea, just executed and maintained very poorly. Yes, we should have a competitive game mode. No, matches should not be so easy to manipulate the connection quality of. No. We do not need to be matched against teams with extreme differences in skill level. Yes. Players that do well should be rewarded. (Key words: players that do well as in, not the person who clearly got carried and didn't even get 10% of the kills/assists but had more than 50% of the deaths)
the last one was mostly for salt TBH
Been Flawless 8 times and I completelly agree. Bungie did say that trials in D2 will be more avaliable for the whole community and not such a " hard" gamemode !
-
Well, down goes the scamming and PVP ruiner and up comes the cybabies to take it's place. Lose-Lose tbh
-
Good riddance! That mode made me hate other players unintentionally!

3 commentairesTrials didn't do any of that. Those people already existed.
please stop being a whiny little bitch!
How convenient! I got a game invite as I'm flying into trials from gamertag: SweatyDBag69

Personally, I don't play trials because I find it too slow paced. I didn't like it in year one. Hated it in year 2. Didn't bother in year 3. As a game mode, I could never put in the effort to git gud...that was in large part due to the community. Aside from the small percentage of "raid elite", Trials players are the PRIMARY force behind salt in this game. For the most part, this community is great. We are willing to help, and just looking to have a fun time. DDoSing others isn't in line with that. Paid carries aren't in line with that. Spamming hate mail isn't in line with that. Despite this, there are some who legitimately enjoy the mode. For them, I feel sorry that something they greatly enjoyed is being removed. As for Bungie...I can't help but feel that they need to do a better job with this. People spamming paid carries on these forums need to be warned and banned. We need a public record of sorts for players who have DDoSed. Now there are challenges here in relation to privacy, but way too often do these "players" get away with it. Take a page from Blizzard, ban the account and ban the IP address (or whatever it is exactly that they did with Overwatch).

11 commentairesHey, I know I have posted this a few times but I have only gotten a few responses and it seems relevant here as well. Trials could be tiered based off how many flawless runs you have made in a specified period. I think it would also help mitigate paid carries, and would be more enjoyable for more of the community leading to fewer complaints. Here's how tiers and matchmaking could work: Trials would run in a tiered format for a predetermined period before being reset at the end of the period. (A month, maybe?) After a reset, everyone is in the same pool with zero flawless completions. Once you go flawless once you jump up a tier, this allows more people to go flawless as toward the end of the cycle the better players would have gone flawless already giving lower skill players / people with less time to "get gud" a chance to get flawless against others that haven't gone flawless for the period. Then the second tier could be players that have gone flawless 1-3 times or something like that, third tier 4-7 times, fourth tier 7-10 times, and a fifth tier for 10+ times flawless for the period. Then after a week or month (month would probably be better) Trials is reset and everyone goes back to the 0 flawless pool to start again. This way if you can get to tier 3 and run into people that are better and have trouble getting past tier 3, after reset you can again go flawless. Or if you get tier 5 and take a break from the game, when you come back you aren't stuck just playing elite players. Rewards / Loot: Here is where I'm sure I'll get some disagreement, but here we go. Instead of getting gear for a number of wins (5 for armor, 7 for guns) they could give gear for completing each tier, you go flawless once and complete tier 1, you get Trials loot. You get your 3rd flawless for the period, congrats, here's some Trials loot. Go flawless 7 times, HOORAY MORE TRIALS LOOT!! Get your 10th flawless, yep you guessed it, more Trials loot. Then, in true Destiny spirit, if you can go flawless an 11th time or more, it gives you a CHANCE at getting the elusive "GOLDEN SCARAB EMBLEM OF ETERNITY". Oh, and some more Trials gear. Completing each tier could give you a unique emblem that shows off how far you have gotten in Trials in the past, so once you go once, you get the tier one emblem, 3 times, tier 2 emblem, etc. The only one that would be RNG'd would be the 10+ wins, gotta keep that old Destiny spirit alive with the game of chance somewhere. They could even use the same gear for rewards for each tier and put different skins on the weapons or armor for completing each tier. This would be a way to show off your skill without getting rewards that give players even more of a competitive advantage. If only high skill players go flawless and flawless rewards give better weapons / armor, those players who can go flawless without the better weapons have even more of an advantage if they get "OP" gear for being the only ones that go flawless. I wouldn't even be opposed to the 10+ win gear having the extra "Adept" perk of second wind or something like that, which gives you a slight advantage over people who have the "regular" version, but not so much that they are unstoppable. Before people start saying, "but I couldn't even go flawless once in D1, how am I supposed to do it 10 times in a month to get the "GOLDEN SCARAB EMBLEM OF ETERNITY"? Here's the secret, not everyone is supposed to get the "GOLDEN SCARAB EMBLEM OF ETERNITY", it is for the top tier of players so they can show off that they are indeed the top tier. I feel this may also mitigate some of the paid carries. Who is going to want to sit with someone carrying them through Trials to get them to 10 flawless runs?? It would take too much time. I think people would settle into their tiers eventually and be more ok with not getting the top tier stuff as they are able to get the same gear, it just looks different. If needed the number of wins for flawless could also be adjusted since it will take a lot more playing to get to Tier 5 Trials, but that is kind of the point of having different skins on loot and emblems, so those players that put in the time can show that they have put in the time and effort to get where they are in the Trials ranks. I do get that at some point people will have to play out of their tier, like if there aren't enough people in a tier to get matches in a reasonable amount of time. Best example of this would be the first people to complete each tier, if you are the first flawless for the period, there would be nobody in tier 2 yet so you could still be matched with tier 1 opponents until there are enough in tier 2 to get matchmaking to run efficiently. I get that it throws off the balance a little bit but once Trials got going everyone would kinda settle into their tiers. Anyone with any other thoughts or ideas?? I have thought about this many times in attempting to get my first flawless, I can't quite get there, and have always wanted to have competitive matches in Trials, but when I play it we either curb stomp the team we are playing, or get our arses handed to us. I think this tier system could make Trials more fun for a wider range of players. Post your thoughts below.

This is said almost every day. Title is misleading

Don't blame the game blame the bitchy players.

1 commentaireAgreed, I can not wait till there's no more trials. It hasn't been this good since pre HoW!!!!!! On the issue of armour, everyone knows the trials gear looks so badass but what I have never got is why does the rest of the gear, from everywhere else (such as the raids), look so under-par compared to this. It's almost like Bungie only wants us to do PvP sometimes even though they create all this great PvE.
-
7 commentairesI wish they would just remove PvP in general. It's a cancer that has ruined Destiny, and it's the worst part of the community. It's already -blam!-ed up Destiny 2 with the moronic weapon loadout changes catering to PvP. Two primaries, and special weapons in the heavy slot is going to be absolute AIDS in PvE. I hope everyone bitches about it during the beta, so Bungie changes it back to what we have now. Stop -blam!-ing up your game with PvP, Bungie. It's played by the minority of your player base. It's not that -blam!-ing hard to separate PvP from PvE.

Modifié par Syndicate Bias : 6/30/2017 5:10:49 PMLol my brother and I play for fun, except he actually goes flawless, it's a video game ffs.

You've rarely seen that said? I see someone crying about trials every week.
-
The reason you rarely see it said,is because most people don't feel that way, maybe a handful of people that post on this forum but that's it compared to the amount of people that enjoy it. I mean if you don't like it, don't play it. I'm pretty sure it will be added fairly soon, probably a couple weeks to a month tops.

1 commentairePvE can be just as bad. Depends on the people really. It's a problem every game faces. Toxicity

I rarely see this said
RudophthePTSDvictim
If only Bungie would have listened to all of the feedback pertaining to separation of PvE and PvP we wouldn't have to worry about it...
