Hello everyone! On the downslope of E3 i saw some troubling things and heard some terrifying things that worry me for destiny 2... now as we all know, PvE is no longer a factor in the balancing that bungie will do over the course of the first year, then second year and third year as well in this game as it was in destiny 1. Destiny 2's entire balance factor will focus on PvP only according to mark noseworthy, so for this, we should worry about the PvP side only as bungie intends to do, considering they don't care how PvE is affected. With all that out of the way, let's begin with the list: 1. SMG's are too accurate and kill too quickly, they outdo high power auto rifles. So my proposal, SMG's should have: 40% Reduced base damage 30% increase to recoil 60% Range reduction And 25% slower reload speed. This will balance them to make sure auto rifles can stay in the same league. 2. Grenade Launchers... they scare me. No backlash of damage, 2 shot kills at a high rate of fire with amazing accuracy? What is bungie thinking! To balance these we must have: 60% Reduced impact damage 20% increase to splash AoE damage 50% Slower flight speed 30% slower rate of fire Magazine sizes must not exceed over 4 per mag... that is way too op. And aiming down sights should be disabled. Let the little babies practice with this OP weapon class. 3. The Sentinel Class. It looks fun in PvE Might even be a raid master class, but for PvP? Man, they dun fked up. Mobile bullet absorption, at will ward of dawn use, tracking and bouncing shield?! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?! To balance this, it must have: No ability to block so trials of the nine won't be affected by this OP super. Bouncing must only work on surfaces and not enemies. Remove tracking, i mean jeez louise! Who thought that was a good idea for the crucible?! Ward of dawn tree must be banned from all crucible game modes. 50% Reduced base damage. 4. The Arcstrider. Man, that looks like it could level entire platoons of cabal, even hive knight squads without draining half the super... but the crucible? Way too powerful! To balance this it must have: 40% Reduced Base damage 60% Drain of the super bar Remove Aim assist Remove damage reduction No infinite dodge while using the super 5. The Dawnbreaker. As pitiful of a super it is to have replaced self Resurrection for warlocks, it is able to one shot and provide evade while using it. Even in the crucible, so let's fix that. 50% Reduced base damage 40% Increased super drain per swing 30% Increase super drain 80% increase to cost for evade to ensure they can't quickly leave a bad situation. 30% thinner blade waves. 6. The Gunslinger. Recently looking through the tree I saw that a certain skill would allow it to have 6 shots... 6 shots!? Yeah, good for PvE, might even be useful in raids, strikes and nightfalls finally, but the crucible?! The trials of the nine would be complete garbage! To balance this we must: Ban the 6 shot skill tree in crucible. Reduce Base damage by 80% Allow headshots while aiming down sights to be one shot for crucible only. 90% Increased recoil 60% Reduce accuracy if firing from the hip Aiming down sights now has a cooldown of 20 seconds. 7. The Striker. Man oh man, fist of havoc got some great improvements, shoulder charges that don't consume super energy, 4-6 uses of fist of havoc for amazing add control and the new trump ability? It looks like they finally get what's needed for PvE... but for PvP, that's a different story... To balance this it must have: 50% Increases drain per fist of havoc A now 20% drain for the fist of havoc shoulder charge in super 60% Reduce to damage absorption while in super 20% Faster drain in super charge 8. Linear fusion rifles. Ugh Really? Another class of sniper rifles?! They are going to outpace shotguns and regular fusion rifles, let's fix this shall we? 90% Reduced accuracy while firing from the hip. Aiming down sights has a 15 second cooldown 40% Reduced base damage 90% Reduced Reload speed 80% Increase to recoil 9. Sweet business, a chaingun? Really? Oh man, how great is it that they made an ammo efficient and powerful rifle for the massive crowds of enemies... but... the crucible would be filled with this way too often, so lets fix this. 60% Reduce to critical damage 20% Reduced damage Remove reloading mag when picking up ammo. Reduce magazine size by 30% 10. The Sunshot. Oh man, the beauty, the usefulness, the accuracy and the power...the explosions this baby causes could level hordes of red legion death hounds, thralls, dregs... you name it! But in PvP... especially trials of the nine, this could be a hazard... Reduce Base damage by 30% Reduce range stat to 1 Reduce magazine size by 40% Ensure explosions are only caused by headshot deaths Increase stability by 20% 11. The riskrunner. This SMG was featured at the gameplay reveal, E3 and possibly the beta, but the thought of infinite ammo even though you need to take arc damage concerns me for roaming supers... lets fix that! Reduce base damage by 40% Reduce Magazine to 20 Increase recoil by 60% Reduce duration of infinite ammo to 2 seconds Ensure that you must be damaged to your health bar for ability to take effect. 12. The Dubious Volley. What needs to be said altogether...? They told us the only things that will one shot are snipers and supers... but this rocket launcher? Pffffftttt Gjally year 4! Reduce damage of each rock by 60% Increase spread by 70% Reduce reload speed by 60% Reduce overall ammo carrying capacity to 3. Edit: Added 2 more things. Thank you. For those who are asking, this is not satire nor bait, this is a hyperbolic accurate imagination of what the forums will be like a month after the game releases. Don't blame me for being right!
