Since I haven't seen anything talking about this besides Byf's new video titled 'Destiny 2 News - These are not confirmed sub classes.", Ive decided to take it upon myself to do a bit of digging of my own about this topic of discussion. That video is referring to the leaked merch for Destiny 2 that Game stop had a hold of and people speculated that these will be brand new sub classes. The sub classes that I am referring to are the Titan's void subclass now dubbed Sentinel, Warlock's solar subclass Dawn blade and Hunter's arc subclass called Arc Stride that were all just previously revealed during the great Destiny 2 live stream even not too long ago. But what if i told you that these "new" classes are nothing more than reworks of classes we already have had for so long. I am talking about Defender, Sun Singer and Blade Dance. I say this because In the cinematic 'Home Coming' You see Gunslinger and Nova bomb, So not all classes were edited. Now as far as Savala still using Defender baffles me to the highest degree. But that aside the comparison to the new and the old are strikingly similar. The Titan using a shield still is protecting just as the bubble is in defender. The Warlock in the game play trailer using Dawn Blade not only looks identical to someone activating Sun Singer, besides the wings and the sword, but also was using the same grenades as Sun Singer sub class. Now unless Bungie decided to get lazy and just copy paste grenades over, I say it's just all the same. Last but definitely not least, Hunter's Arc Stride. In the description of the class, it was talking about acrobatics lunging about to enemies tearing them apart, almost a good description for Blade Dancer if i do say so myself. I mean like those two are practically the same, just a different weapon imbued with electricity. In conclusion, I believe that these are nothing more than just revamps of older sub classes to spice things up in my opinion. If anything, this maybe an alternative of the sub classes, like for example how with Night Stalker you can change from black hole to tether with each giving their own advantages. This would also explain why Savala has Defender and the other Titan had Sentinel. These are my thoughts about the new sub classes.
