A lot of time I get the question "why is sex a bad thing" from atheist friends, Christian friends and just random people who happen to know I'm Christian. I see that a lot here since 99 percent of the people who reply to my post are Atheist looking to disprove my every belief. I want to clear up the confusion. The reason why sex before marriage is a sin in the eye of a believer is for 2 reasons. 1) It's he most obvious reason and probably the answer you will get from Christians 50% of the time. And that answer is "God said so". That might sound wrong, but to a believer that is enough to justify it being wrong. They think that God intended for sex to be something that is tied with marriage and that is also what I believe. But there is a reason that God made it that way too that most Christians aren't educated on. 2) This picks up where I left off before. We now learned that God intended for sex to be between a husband and his wife. Now most of you are probably thinking "well why's that?". To answer your question, I believe that God intended sex to be this way because sex tends to carry on drama where ever it goes. Sex is great, I'm not going to lie, it's fun and it is amazing to share that experience with someone you love. When it's done wrong, with your girlfriend, when your wife isn't around, when you are just doing it with random people you might not even know, it creates tension. People get a false idea that sex doesn't mean a lot, but in reality you start jumping between person to person and then you jump in with the wrong person and then you find out they had a boyfriend or that they were never even cared about you. I'm saying this because I have seen friendships torn apart because best friends were "in love with the same person" or a girl just got over a heartbreak and another guy uses that to get in bed with her, and not going to lie, I've almost been that guy to do that to a girl. I've had one of my best girl-friends threatened because of it. Maybe you aren't in the same place or have the same experience, but this is the reason for it. I'm not going to dehumanize you for it, I'm not going to thing you are the worst person in the world because of it, but I will share what I've found to be true in my life and urge you guys to think about these thoughts and ideas. Edit 2: It seems that someone has already pointed out the fact that I stated "God intended marriage to be between a husband and his wife" implying that gay marriages don't exist or that they are bad. Well I'm not going to lie, I believe marriage is to be between a man and a woman. I don't hate gay ppl just like I don't hate atheist, I just don't agree with what they believe. Sorry if that triggered any individuals *cough cough* you know who *cough* *cough*.
