The title of this post was originally going to be "I accidentally killed aksis and got the outbreak prime quest" but i figured since this is #Destiny there's no way in hell i'm saying that Yes this is one of those motivational stories(you'll probably click away the moment you read that.... And somehow you're gonna make a comment saying that you did that)but whatever So every now and then i stop by one of my friends's house, we chill and have fun, he doesn't play destiny that often with an excuse of "i don't have that many people to play with" which i casually respond to him with "bullshit" and we laugh it off i take the controller, hop into destiny and look at his friend list "oh hey these guys are playing wrath of the machine" to which my buddy responds with "yeah so? " -" should i join them? They're missing one" -"yea yeah whatever" then he goes back to staring at his phone, and me being an idiot i casually joined them because why not? I'm getting kicked anyway... Right? I look away then i look at the screen as my teammates are reviving me "OH GOD IT'S AKSIS! NOPE NOPE AND IT'S PHASE 2 OH CUTE NO NEED TO KICK ME I'M GOING TO ORBIT" but then again i would've been kicked before i load into the raid right? I hear teammates saying "hey do you have a mic? " " i think he does" Ok so we're killing aksis i think i know how to do this :D i'm ready Then my friend says "dude pop your mic" I reply with "nah there's no need to" Then i hear teammate saying:"do you have a mic or not?" I look back at my buddy and say:"okay you're gonna be the one speaking with them and i'm going to be playing, then he gives me a scary menacing look and i can't recall what did he say but it was something like "Stfu here's my headset, you're killing aksis...... Bitch" Quick confession, i never ever used my mic i had one but i never used it, it's social anxiety and i got used to it, i killed atheon, crota, oryx without one and i thought this will be no different i do realize the destiny community hates people with no mics but i've had a few friends that accepted me this way and i guess if they ever found out they're gonna be so mad at me because i wasted their opportunity to clear the golgoroth challenge mode Anyway I plug that mic for the first time....... IT WAS SOO AWKWARD (i apologies for any cringe this might cause) and i was silent most of the time all i did was call out stuff like "void middle", "empowered middle", "i've got bubble in the back" but the teammates i played with were sooo chill and they were having so much fun i never felt like this before it A fireteam without squeakers? what the hell is going on? After the second wipe the guy i joined asks me:"how many times have you cleared this raid? " i was so afraid to answer but there's no use in lying so i told him " actually this is my first time" And he replies with: "ohh haha ok you guys ready?" ......wtf... You're not gonna yell at me?...umm ok after the 3rd or 4th wipe we killed aksis...yay? 2 seconds later... " oh wait wait don't go to orbit we still have the last monitor" "ooh that's right" I chuckled and said... "wha what? What monitor?" they lead me the way and lookey here it's the chest that gives you the siva engine :D When i opened the chest teammates were like "oh wow... " "... that's just" "ahaha" I never knew people who didn't work on the activating the raid monitors can get the chest but... Ok?...wow Sooo... After all that why is this important to me? Well aside from the fact that i got over my social anxiety, if you look at my profile you'll notice something, i'am a legacy guardian :) a guy who barely played rise of iron let alone the raid but it's all because of me watching so many people clearing the raid and the teammates i played with instructed me so well And this is my first time getting carried in a raid, i'm used to carrying vanilla players through their first vault of glass run Am i going to buy a ps4 and rise of iron? Hell yeah man and definitely going to solo aksis one day(if charge lockout doesn't get patched) but that's a story for another time [b]Tl;dr[/b] : hi, i'am cake-6, a ps3 guardian and i cleared wrath of the machine for the first time skipping vosik and the siege engine and i got over my social anxiety....
