Morally, I'm against it, unless the mother is at risk. If i had to choose between my wife or the child she's bearing, I'd choose my wife and pray for forgiveness. It's my personal belief that life begins at conception, for personal and spiritual reasons.
However, it is not my job nor my right to decide the moral high ground, so i can't say the woman doesn't have the right to do it.
I don't look upon women who have chosen to abort with anger or distaste, but i can't help feel a sense of sadness and pity. From what stories I've seen and heard abortions can and have caused depression, anxiety and other medical issues.
In my OPINION, people need to live with the consequences of their actions. If you do the do, accept pregnancy as a possible outcome, and view a possible child as a child, not a parasite.
In the case of forced intercourse, i can't honestly defend it either way. What happened to the woman is terrible, but at the same time, there's a new life in her. My morals seem to contradict here, so i can't/won't judge the woman either way.
I'm in favor of the death penalty however, and firmly believe forced intercourse should dealt with as such.

Same I couldn't live without a wife that you marry!!!

So you're pro-life... unless your significant other could die or if it's someone on death row??? And they say people who have abortions are selfish. 😂😂😂
-
Not just my significant other, the mother of the child. Just used my wife as an example. Making the choice between that or possible suicide is terrible, even without the abortion controversy. The intent of my original word wall was to say I'm against abortions that are performed just because people don't want to take responsibility for their actions. Life threatening circumstances and the results of forced intercourse are understandable to me, but abortions performed because they wanted a boy instead of a girl, or because they made the decision to procreate without accepting pregnancy as a possible result etc, are not. The death penalty, however, I've got a better feel for. The pro-life stance is only for that of the unborn children. The unborn child hasn't had a chance at life yet. The rapist has, and made their own decision to commit terribly despicable crimes. It still amazes me that these people will get only a few years jail time, if they're unlucky, when other people have been serving life sentences for possessing a damn plant (in America, anyways.) Again, these are just my opinions. Not trying to set the moral high ground, just explaining my stance.

Right so, not pro-life. Pro-some lives. Some people and babies are better than others because of situations. I get it.

Well, if we're splitting hairs, then yes, that's pretty much it. :/
I'm in favor of the death penalty however, and firmly believe forced intercourse should dealt with as such.
Now if only we could have a better way of really determining that. Too much is just hear-say. Not to mention it works in both directions, not just one.

So you feel your morals shouldn't be imposed upon others but on the whole disagree with abortion? That's a very intelligent way of looking at it, but about your statement
on one hand that's new life
on the -blam!- thing it's a life the girl didn't want and didn't purposely risk getting, she shouldn't be forced to care for a forced pregnancy, I know if I were a chick id abort it, but I'm a teenager so having a child at this age would be an immense set of added work

See, that's the contradiction i was talking about. I don't support abortion because i believe the child is a human being. But the woman didn't have a choice in the first place. I can't say in good conscience I'd prefer one outcome over the other, it's just a terrible circumstance. But in the end, it's the woman's choice. It's just a terrible choice to make.
