Accuracy shouldn't be effected by the distance between your gun and your target.
Here's why:
1.) No other competitive, first person shooter, hit scan game has RNG based accuracy. Where ever one's reticle lands, is where a bullet will go. This should be the case in Destiny as well.
2.) I understand that Bungie doesn't want auto's or hand canons to be killing outside of their optimal range. But rather than have the bullets go into random directions, why not just have the damage fall off accordingly? Like every other game as well.
3.) THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON with this being within this game, it makes a skilled hand feel less rewarded. It frustrates the wielder of said weapon. The whole purpose of video gaming is to have fun, so eliminating frustrating problems, and making players feel more rewarded for their accuracy should naturally be a goal Bungie should be aiming for.
Thank you Destiny Community for your time. I wanted to provide a good argument and reason for my call for a fix. If you agree, or disagree, please comment why!
Thank you all,
-Caleb, or, RealTrashy

Apply RNG accuracy to monthly paychecks.

1 commentaireHint..... If you want "FUN" play other games!

Modifié par RAIST5150 : 11/16/2016 7:42:38 PMAgree with the basic premise, but the RNG shouldn't be completely stripped. There are some factors to shooting that are way to complex to be introduced in an online shooter--especially when you are talking live firefight scenarios. A LITTLE RNG should be fine....but the over powered bloom and crud they have been using lately is just way too much.

1 commentaireAs far as handcannons are concerned, there are plenty of times the bloom works in your favor, but you don't bitch about those. I'd much rather have a little slop once in awhile than have to rely on my own perfect aim.

1 commentaireI have a problem with point #1. Destiny does have competitive multiplayer, yes, but that is hardly the main feature of the game. It is not a game designed to be a PvP powerhouse, like Halo or CoD. It is a heavily loot based game, with randomized stats and perks on each piece of equipment. We should not be treating it like it is a highly competitive shooter.
-
1 commentaireThey're obsessed with RNG, no chance that changes.

11 commentairesHaving used a handcannon for a while and getting good with it I can say that handcannon users shouldnt be complaining about accuracey of their guns Most of the time you "headshot" a person with a handcannon your reticule isnt even on their head. You can shoot people in their stomach and it counts as headshots with a handcannon Makes it incredibly easy to 3 shot with HCs
-
5 commentairesExactly, all they have to do is range restrict damage levels. If you're within a certain range with this weapon type you do 100% damage. If you're in the next distance bracket you do 80% damage. And so on. Something like that.

1 commentaireProposal: Bullet Always Lands on Reticle But Reticle Visibly Sways based on recoil recenter, sprint penalty, etc. Basically, bullet mechanics are exactly the same as they already are, but the system becomes conspicuous so instead of people blaming imaginary 'bloom' and 'rng' they now realize there's previously hidden recoil and motion penalties taking place that were throwing them off.

16 commentairesHEY! DIPSTICK!!! Go cry somewhere else, you dont realize what you are asking for. You say its all RNG? really? I guess all of the t1 tourney players are just professional gamblers, they almost never miss a shot. Stop blaming the game for your terrible aim, DIPSTICK

9 commentairesHand cannons aren't truly hit scan as you infer in your first point... the fact that the bullet travels through the air and is redirected by aim assist means it is not hit scan. Most sidearms and all snipers (save QBB that is a fusion rifle sniper) are hit scan and are only affected by reticle stickiness for aim assist.

4 commentairesAgreed i get so enraged when i loose a fight because my hc has bullet rng. The first shot always crits it s a problem to get the second and third to hit.
-
1 commentaireAgreed. Hand cannons should be able to snipe across maps (even first light) but dmg just needs to drop off accordingly.

Well bungie doesn't make sense anyways, their bullet registration is horrible, they have issues where a efrideet's spear bullet to a tethered enemy, (in pvp), did 2 damage, wtf is that? And ghost bullets shouldn't be a thing, if the sight is on the enemy the bullet should end up 5 feet away from your target that is bs, weapons can be so inconsistent, that needs to change, bungie needs to get their act together, I love their game but there are some serious problems with it right now...

they've made a planet full of cronenbergs :(

Modifié par Eiffiks : 11/15/2016 8:22:17 AMWell, one could also argue that a skilled hand will know after you few tries what is the actual firing tempo to have with a weapon to avoid bloom... And if you want to really solve bloom, easiest way is: 1. Remove it 2. Slightly decrease fire rate of hand cannons. You'll get the same goal (hand cannons are a refined weapon where well paced and aimed shot are the ultimate use) without intoducing the rng element bloom is. I'd hate that change, but I guess the complains of 'I just can't trust my gun'would stop.
-
4 commentairesThen you've never sniped in battle field, I do agree with you though, I don't use handcannons exclusively for this reason

RNG bullets+nerf weapons=ALL GUARDIANS FEEL LIKE YOUR SHOOTING A TANK

Edit: for those of you who don't believe in 'ghost bullets' or 'bloom' on hand cannons, and who think that everyone is just 'missing' their shots, here is a link of a man (tripleWRECK) proving in a private match that ghost bullets do exist. Please watch, it's not a long video. https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=-5cZkUsmBSI

2 commentairesI agree they with what's said - I also strongly believe the same thing for loot drops. Especially in pvp based modes. RNG dictates a lot there also

I agree
