Best DPS option for ogres on oryx fight?
With the recent patch and fix to ToM and blessings of light, I was wondering what is the best DPS options for taking down the ogre's quickly during the Oryx fight?
Been trying to get hard challenge mode Oryx before the reset for moments of triumph, and it just seems like the biggest issue is dropping the ogres fast enough with the various groups I've been with.
I usually run warlock with ToM, 1000YS and the raid machine gun while on the plate, but it always seems like the ogre gets away from or someone else, and I can't help but think it's partly the Titans fault for not doing enough, as the players on the plate's #1 responsibility should be to take out the knights that spawn afterwards.

Assuming the people on platforms actually help by just throwing their area-of-effect grenade down as the ogre rises; two Sleeper Simulant charges with Weapons of Light. ~29,××× damage per shot; ~31,××× if a warlock is using Touch of Flame+Viking Funeral on their solar 'nades.

High Impact snipers. Sleeper if you'd like and have enough DPS to stagger Oryx. I just ask for plate holders to at least throw a grenade on them while I snipe them down.

Sleeper simulant 1 shots knights and 2 -3 shots ogres

I realize it's not the plateholders' "job" to worry about the ogres, but you have PLENTY of time to throw a grenade (or two if you have the ability - preferably something sticky) and pop a few shots before the knight spawns.

Modifié par Tim vdB3 : 9/20/2016 8:23:53 AMI used a 1k stare, had partial refund and a fast reload with oiled frame and sniper loader gauntlets. I definitely did it's job well along with weapons of light. And I just used Mida as backup weapon for ads and objection IV for some dps.

3 commentairesSleeper + sniper = easy mode (although this entire encounter is easy if each plate takes 5 seconds to pump a few rounds into the god damn ogre rather than have the center guys do all the damn work while you cower on your damn plate)

Your best dps option will probably be a weapon. Fists are a close second though.

2 commentairesGet yourself a 1k stare like mine with triple tap oiled frame an hidden hand so with sniper reload arms you can keep procing trip tap over an over it takes me 5shots with weapons to kill an ogre an I can do that solo. I've got nearly 200 completions so take my opinion or not your choice

partly but you should throw a grenade and be shooting your tom at the orge when It comes up, I mean you got nothing else to do until it dies. if there's weapons and 2 sleepers in the middle with you shooting it as it spawns, it should be better than tom stratand should die very quick
