Greetings fellow Guardians,
LS - “So I know there has been A LOT of talk since this game launched about Bungie and communication and it continues to be a topic that dominates these forums to a large degree. I myself have made several posts in the past on the need for more communication between Bungie and the bnet community, but I disagree wholeheartedly with the idea that things are remotely at the level that they were in year one.”
No-one said that they haven't improved. But in reality, all Cozmo actually does is acknowledge our ideas and concerns. “I'll pass this to the devs” does NOT help with communication. I understand he doesn't have the power to make these changes, but as far as anybody on these forums is concerned, Bungie has always listened, but they rarely act in our favor.
LS - “In year one there was a huge divide and not only were many people upset with the game that existed vs what people thought it would be, but there was mostly silence from Bungie coming back our way on things and DeeJ was barely (if ever) on these forums. WE demanded change and as a result of OUR posts, Bungie hired Cozmo to be a more everyday link between us and them.”
Once again, while Cozmo does respond to a few of our posts, his existence on these forums does not help with our concerns. If anything, its just more frustrating that Cozmo is the only one who even looks at these forums. If you were a developer, wouldn't you be curious what people say about YOUR game, and what you can do to improve it?
LS - “My friends and I have been playing a lot of 7 Days to Die lately and that game is just bugged to hell. It's amazingly fun and the depth of what you can create is staggering, but RWG spent hours making motorcycles that would then just glitch out and disappear. Then we got 100+ days into our world and the save got corrupted and we lost everything. It turns out both these issues have been known in the game forever now from way before it even hit consoles and there is literally no response from the developer and they appear to have no plans on patching literally game-breaking bugs.”
7 Days to die is not a AAA game. They also don't have a multi-billion dollar company to back them up. Destiny is a AAA game, and definitely has the funds to fix game breaking issues, along with many other issues. Speaking of game breaking bugs, firefly has been an issue going on for almost a year now, and while it has been semi-fixed, it is still and issue. You can't compare the two.
LS - “Imagine if when we played Destiny, we could play for a month and then one day our progress is just gone and we lose everything and have to start over. People would lose their -blam!-ing minds.”
Yes, people would lose their minds, and Bungie and Activision would lose a lot of money. So lets not praise them for keeping their wallets full.
LS -“The fact is that Bungie not only listen to us, they are CONSTANTLY working on this game trying to improve it for us. We've driven so much change with our voices that it's pretty staggering. From getting Coz hired, to getting them to give a mea culpa on the original release and basically revamp most everything with TTK, the addition of sparrow races, increased vault space, economy changes in game, price structure changes in the game itself, and yes even adjustments to classes and abilities. The list goes on and for anyone to say that we aren't being heard, you're just not paying attention or you're blinded by what you still feel Destiny should have been at launch.”
Here we go with Cozmo again, he is almost insulting with his replies. Not direct insults, but the fact that all does is say he will bring our concerns to the devs. How many people are working for this company? And they hire a kid to be a messenger boy? Thats insulting. Sparrow racing is a joke. Why isn't a permanent thing? Or a monthly activity like iron banner? Its already on our consoles, why keep it from us during these content droughts? Vault space should have never been an issue in a loot based game such as this. And they talk about old gen holding it back, but they somehow manage to keep increasing it every update. So they lied from the beginning? I'm assuming you're talking about the price changing structure for the whole “Throw your money at the screen” emotes. That was incredibly insulting as well. They had to change that if they wanted to make more money, they didn't do it for us, they did it for themselves. I would say 90% of players do not agree with the constant changes. They only weaken us and do not improve the fun. Excuse us for feeling that a game with a $500 million budget, 5 years of development, and created by the makers of Halo wouldn't be lacking in so many ways.
LS -“As for communication back and forth. Cozmo is all over these forums, not only constantly responding to posts (and he will actually respond to responses occasionally which never happened before), but he curates the player submitted content as well. That in and of itself is a huge step over what we had, but it doesn't stop there. He also is constantly playing this game and does so with multitudes of community members. He posts sign-ups for players to play with them and recently did the twitch stream where they went into crucible and were matched randomly with and against everyday players.”
I feel so much better that somebody who works for this game actually plays it. But in reality, he doesn't set up those matches on Twitch. His bosses do. He cant just get up and decide to do that for himself. Bungie is very specific about when and what they do on Twitch, so that statement means nothing from you.
LS - “Speaking of twitch, bungie also do much more communication through that now and are still developing that avenue to get us more involved and tell us what they can. I hope and believe at some point they will use that as an avenue to do a real Q and A with the devs on specific aspects of the game.”
Speaking of Twitch and communication, its funny that the only way you can make a comment to them while they are live, is if you actually pay for it. You have to pay to make a comment on Bungies live streams! What a joke!
LS - “A lot of people have a lot of negative things to say about bnet, bungie, this community and communication in general, but the fact is that we have something really unique here in that we are all entitled to our opinions and outside of the CoC, there are no real limits put on what we are allowed to propose or discuss as opposed to reddit where things are heavily censored and most hot button issues are off limits and deleted by mods if posted.”
That fact is true, this community definitely is unique. There are some serious limits to what we can post here. I wont even be surprised if this post gets shut down. Mods will ban anybody for anything they don't like.
LS - “I'm not going to say everything is perfect either here on the forums where I personally believe the moderation could be a little more consistent and transparent or in the way we and Bungie always interact and share information back and forth, but it's also not what people paint it out to be and there is a hell of a lot more give and take between us and Bungie than between many other game companies and their players.”
This is a AAA game that is supposed to be “alive” and have a 10 year life span. Communication is expected, and so far, it is very lacking and insulting.
LS - “Anyway, I hope that both we as a community and Bungie as a company continue to grow and evolve and build up this relationship that exists over the love of a game and that Destiny continues to grow and evolve into the experience we all know that it can be. Thank you, see you all amongst the stars.”
I agree with this paragraph. We all hope this game gets better. But in reality, its all just hope. See you amongst the stars in our loading screens.

I've heard Riot games raised numerous times as an example of how to do patches and communication right. Unfortunately the forums are so toxic and irrational they very often give Bungie an excuse to ignore them.
-
Yeah sparrow racing should be once a month like Iron Banner atleast. Maybe the yearly race should just be where you get exclusive rewards and competitions for emblems and stuff.
-
The post you're quoting was cringeworthy. Doing this was more so.
Mods will ban anybody for anything they don't like.
Even if this were true, they sure as -blam!- don't only like 'fanboys." Considering the majority of, say, #Feedback/Trending is some variant of "Bungie fix your shit," this should be evident.

34 commentairesAren't you guys tired? The hate and intolerance is strong with you all. I honestly don't know how you can all continue day to day like this. I mean sure. You're probably all getting a good laugh amongst each other. But the fact that you all have no concept or ability to know when enough is enough or how hurtful you all are is truly tragic. But...By all means carry on... For the rest of you who read this. Push Bungie Keep up with your concerns Give them your ideas "Be excellent to each other" We're all in this together. Take care.

1 commentaireModifié par Slain : 8/12/2016 8:18:30 PMIt's not enough for you to air your grievances; you have bash others while you're at it and perpetuate the sour nature of these forums. It's a game after all, people. The fighting goes on out there, not behind keyboards.
-
Too much text please condense. That said if they weren't listening they wouldn't have made a lot of their changes. It's just they have no idea what to do, not that they aren't listening.

I think this is well written and the rebuttals have a lot of the the same things in them that have been thinking I'd love to see LS' response.

I didn't read the post, but agree with the title and hope it mentions the 11 month old bug with faction, vanguard and crucible package drops.

1 commentaireAmazingly true post. Nobody who matters will read it though. You know why? Because no one at Bungie but cozmo reads it hahah

Modifié par autimsoid : 8/12/2016 4:24:36 PMIf they delete this post I'm going to be furious because they'd be stubborn and arrogant to not read and learn from this

After reading what I believe the first post was, and reading this post. I just wanted to point out that the very next day the devs at "7 Days to die" patched that "game breaking glitch that took away all your stuff" Where as Bungie just takes away all your stuff by Nerfing it into uselessness every DLC like clockwork. But hey enjoy trying to get that Thorn again...

This is not specifically directed at OP but after reading through this thread ive gotta ask Who the fvck are these people youre all talking about? And Do any of you have real lives outside of the bnet forums because yall take this shite way way way too seriously. I mean yall do you, if arguing on the internet is your jam then go for it more power to you but it seems we have forgotten this is a video game. We play video games for fun. There is a distinct separation between the fake virtual world thats been created and the real world in which we live and neither should ever be intertwined. This is literally what gives media outlets amunition to say games are bad because the forums are filled with people that cant separate them from reality. Haze4dayz or whatever it was i read your post, felt you were fairly reasonable. We may have differing opinions or we might not but this thread immediately devolved into a congregation of crazy!

7 commentairesOh no, what happened to that one guy's ridiculous post? What was his name? It's right there, I just can't remember. Oh well, guess he's just not important enough to remember. Good post by the way bud.

17 commentairesWow I thought the trolls against Sols were gone. Oh while Destiny is up another 5 million users and isn't going anywhere.
-
I agree, the could have left SRL in bring it back monthly or rotate it with trials. I hate the Crucible, but i could get my rep up with SRL. OK some people didnt like, other did. Same can be said for all PvP events. But it is OUR game, we should be the ones to play it how we want to play it. Gaming companies "need" to be answerable to some sort of watchdog. The way OFCOM are watchdog for the UK TV broadcasts. Bungies (or more importantly Activision) the attitude to you the paying gamers are dispicable
-
Wow, you really went out of your way to go after Lost Sols. Do you have a personal beef with him or something? Disagreeing is one thing, but this is just really petty.
-
Bungie nerfed Firebolts in June even though they promised they wouldn't back in April. They are definitely listening to you whiny Trials players
-
1 commentaireThat was an amazing story. I give you 4/10.

9 commentairesModifié par TheShadow : 8/12/2016 2:13:22 AMI made this post not to long ago About Cozmo and the communication through him. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/210048271/0/0 I read the post you are referring to and it's full of ( Holes...) It's easy to feed lines to the new gamers and try and make it look like a AAA gaming company hasn't failed in making an actual game. Funny thing is. It's 2016 and Bungie is treating this game as if it is 1980's and even back then gaming companies had more common sense in creating a game that is completed with the added bonus of adding the things gamers want when the game is released. Not 3 years later and say... hey guys! we added one thing you have been asking for even though we know it should of been added the day the game was released. What's this! ( 3 years of gamers complaining about what's not in this game and the only thing they work on is match making for PVP. ) What about the rest of this game?Hell! I guess Bungie's fanbase is going to have to complain for another 3 years just to get something else added to this game that is a ( common thing in most games like this.) Funny thing about that. Most companies have a brain to added the much needed things in a game that make it more enjoyable before the game is released. Seriously, did someone at Bungie all of a sudden go wacko before the game was released and say hey guys! lets remove or not add the common things in games in todays would? This is a gaming company that has been around for over 20 years. They gave us one of the best games made for it's time and they have been working on this game for over 8 years and this is what we get? Is this a joke that has been played out way to long because I don't see anyone laughing.

And yah know what? This is music to my ears! I'm being serious Y'all with your retarded Nerf/absurd want posts is unbelievable. I know this is way over used but it will solve your porblems... Get good, what a couple YouTube clips get good and stop whining like 3rd graders. It's really that simple.

Was his thread not good enough to post your rebuttals in?

Lol bump..

Modifié par Aces21Soul : 8/12/2016 12:40:42 AMAt this point they could give 2 s* or even any. ROI is their last run to bait players and grab as much money before Destiny 2. Which almost all their resources are on it now.

Thankyou for this bungie makes me want to drink anti freeze and they dont take me serous lol.
