How long have you been playing video games?
Been playing since 1977, Atari 2600 release and acquired the nick name "vgk".
It stands for video game knowledge. If anyone couldn't get past a stage, they ask me. I get them thru parts of the game they struggle at.
Owned every major system since, these days I play on Xbox one, own a ps4 as well, (daughters).
So, 45 years old and still game, help with all age groups and they help me as well. My age has slowed the reflexes a bit, but have yet to find anyone skilled enough to help get me to the lighthouse. The time will come, I'm sure.
So the question is to the older gamers, when did you start gaming? And have you made it to the lighthouse?
+: wow, so many gamers, what would our lives be without our games???

I have been playing ever since I can remember. Im 27. Played plenty of Mario on the NES, Sonic on the Genesis, Golden Eye on the 64, Perfect Dark, and spent way more time than I should've playing Halo 2. Will even delve back into the Madden from time to time.

I'm 47, been playing games since discovering Space Invaders at my local swimming pool in 1980 so 37 years Still love it, the only regret I have is that life/family/job/responsibilities restrict the time now that I can play That and the fact that kids born recently have gaming so GODDAMN GOOD !!!! You lot should have tried playing Elite on the ZX Spectrum lol (I played it for ages)

About the same time. We got out Atari later. Did the Comodore 64, TI home computer. Had the whole set up for the Sega Genesis, had every PS since it came out, bought Xboxes a year or so after they were out.

About since 1982 when i was 3 and we had pong and some formula game

1987 got a NES. One of the best days of my life. I can still hear the creepy music from the 2nd lvl of Mario bros. I have never been to the lighthouse.
