I say this because after reading about the second major terrorist attack in France I came to a realization.
I would be the first to say that this generation is a little privileged. A little coddled. Maybe a little spoiled. I can see why your parents would do these things now.
Not having children of my own it was hard to see before.
You guys are growing up in the ugliest world I have ever seen or heard of. People just killing innocent people for nothing more than someone else's ideas.
Police profiling and killing people for little more than a tail light out on their vehicle. Everything I see in the news is so glaringly ugly, this world has never been this unstable in my living memory.
To all the young ones out there. Just know that life hasn't always been like what you see on the news. It's up to you as the next generation to usher in peace and equality so your children and their children can grow up safe and without fear.
If you see someone in trouble, help them. If you see trash in the places you play, pick it up. If you see someone bullying someone, stop them. For every bad thing that happens make a good thing happen.
Peace and violence all starts with an idea. As the next generation grows up, I pray that your idea is one of peace.
Have a good day everyone, and please pray for the poor people that have been losing their lives needlessly. Thanks for reading.
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"
~Mahatma Gandhi
To all those saying it was worse before. Can you honestly say that? Mass shootings and killings are happening on a daily basis all over the world right now.
You have people going into schools and killing little kids. People flying planes into huge buildings to kill as many as possible. A guy just drove a truck into innocent people that was filled with explosives to try to kill everyone around. Open your eyes people. This shit is unprecedented. I feel bad for the people that have their hearts filled with so much hate.
This world needs to learn acceptance and tolerance. It starts with YOU. If you preach hate and accept the way shit is right now you better hope karma doesn't come for you. This involves all of us.
Some of you have given up on this world but I haven't. Change doesn't come easy. Acceptance doesn't come easy, but it's something WE as a society NEED to do because there are far too many people killing and being killed and we can help stop it. If this reaches even 1 of you than it was worth every second.

8 commentairesThe biggest issue which I don't think people haven't been able to properly manage is the massive amount of information being disseminated, and how quickly. For example, terrorist attacks obviously aren't a new type of event, but the availability and pervasiveness of it all is overwhelming when it's being plastered all over Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, news websites, etc... I tend to believe this is why the older generations are seeing the change the most. They've been so used to obtaining typically summarised, condensed, and censored forms of media as their source of news. Nowadays, all of raw information about the latest beheading, bombing, and mass-shooting is streamed directly to your smartphone in realtime. My concern is the effect this is going to have on the current, younger generation who are so frequently consuming this information. Will they become desensitised to it? Is that acceptable? Will they see it as normal behaviour? Will they try to emulate it?

Yeah your words do jack shit to get rid of the 20 trillion we owe. Thanks for spending all my grandchildrens money on trident submarines and welfare.

Every generation has its problrms, think about it. 18 year old males would get drafted to war even if they didn't want to.
-
I couldn't agree more, even being apart of this generation, but b.net isn't the place for this, but I suppose it's a good way to reach out to young people who play destiny.
-
2 commentairesYou should take this somewhere else. B.net isn't the best place to reach people.

I think the sudden explosion of available information - everything that happens these days is recorded and posted online - may just be making it seem like the world's getting more -blam!-ed up.
-
3 commentairesI don't pay attention to the news, as far as I'm concerned most of it is heavily exaggerated if not just lies. I'm concerned about my friends and family, above all else.
-
Damn man you spoke some real truth of what's happening to this world. I feel ungrateful for my life compared what's happening to France and the recent shootings and I'm only 15. Isn't scary to think literally anything to a terrorist attack to a shooting scare people? I know it has been with me but if you show the positives of this the world has become more together banning against this evil in our world. Thank you for this insight

1 commentaireYeah for once my Gramps is really upset that this generation will be worst off then the last and forced to carry the burden. This generation is messed up

1 commentaireJust as a reminder there hasn't been a war between major powers for a long time. Prejudice against minorities, women, and the lgbt community is waaaaaay down. People are no longer forced to die for their country, bullying isn't nearly as prevalent, we have a massive database of information in our hands, and there might soon be more progress for manned exploration into space. Through the use of GMOs world hunger is lessening, and they allow children to get key vitamins in impoverished countries. Every generation will have its problems. Maybe the next few will have to deal with super diseases, climate change, loss of resources and problems we can't even foresee. I don't envy them when these happen. And I'll probably live to see some of them. My point is the world has always had bad things happening somewhere and honestly we should be more worried about days to come. My point is the world isn't actually that bad for you and I.

2 commentairesShielding your child from the harshness in the real world will only harm them further.

1 commentaireAnd how you do you consider young? How old are you even anyway? I need to know these things so I can pass judgment onto you for the things your generation stupidly did whilst ignoring anything positive.

3 commentairesLooks like someone only believes the media, get out some and away from the liberal and gop news.

9 commentairesI feel bad for you older people. -blam!-ing up the world and then realising your kids are the ones who are going to have to clean it up. Must be sad knowing how shit your generation is.
-
Who wants to bet that this is gonna be on at least one person's Facebook page? All of this is true, and pretty damn sad.

2 commentairesEven just spreading a nice compliment to someone or holding the door is a step towards the better. Anytime someone is coming behind me I'll open the door for them, if it looks like someone put a lot of effort and time into their outfit or hair I try to compliment it so they feel like their time was well spent. The little things really can make a difference and is where it all needs to start

It's really the worst of everything. A little privileged along with over populated cities, a very competitive job market, Property getting more and more expensive in relation to wages earned . I actually think measured standard of living peaked with people who were born around 1960. It's been downhill for the rest of us just speaking averages
-
2 commentairesYah I'm technically a young one, and after all the attacks that happened in the past year, I feel like I should kill me self, literally, it's that or move to Norway, since when did any shit happen in Norway...

7 commentairesIf you think about it, its the same thing with different shit. 1910s: WW1 1920s: First Latin American dictatorships. 1930s: Economic crises and -godwinslaw!- uprising. 1940s: WW2 and Soviet Stalinism. 1950s: Korean War, Cold War starts. 1960s: Cuban Revolution, Vietnam War, Missile Crises, worldwide panic because of a possible nuclear war. 1970s: You First World Countries invaded Afghanistan. Munich massacre. Dictatorships in Latin America (again). 1980s: Pablo Escobar, M-19 and terrorist attacks shatter my country. War on drugs. 1990s: Yugoslavia tears itself apart (violently), Rwanda Civil War, Invasion of Iraq, Chechen War, Argentinian Attacks against jews. 2000s: 9/11 (the only thing for which you americans bat an eye). London and Madrid Attacks. Invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and the list goes on. 2010: Muslim Bastards spread to the rest of the world. If you look deep inside you know a big part of this "new generation" violence bullshit is the US fault. Your so called mission of "freedom" and "democracy" was just an excuse for war. What you are witnessing are the consequences from First World Countries greed, and now we are all paying for it. Anyway, as if violence didn't exist before 2010s...

We must take you to the UN, to present your speech. Screw the ambassadors, get the leaders of their countries to listen.

3 commentairesEh. Better than living in fear of an atomic war.
