I agree with most of the next that happened in the June update but bungie didn't need to fix the gunslingers. I have a Hunter and only a Hunter and play all of the subclasses on my Hunter. But after the June update I tried out the gunslinger and didn't play it again. It was a bad subclass the throwing knives didn't need a nerf they were fine. I think that shoulder charge is better than throwing knives were. I could be at max height with triple jump and still get shoulder charged. Throwing knives require skill to use effectively unlike shoulder charge. Incendiary blade only got a got a one shot if they didn't spec any armour which you should de doing. Next the tripmines don't need any nerfs. Sicking people were the only ways to get consistent kills with tripmines. Because if people just put at least 5 armour on they could survive. And it has a flashing red line coming out of it that you could easily see and you could destroy it.

I've always used GS when I run with my Huntard....
-
I've actually started using it more since the June update just to see how much the trip mine nerf would REALLY piss me off. ~~Dinklebot

It's not dead it's just the best part was taken away
-
Dead? Lord no. They said they nerfed tripmines taking away their unicorn ability. I've been sticking them to walls and wrecking people. Sometimes one shot, sometimes not, but they usually don't survive. The knives still work fine. They now finish really squirrely fire fights for me. Or start them. Golden gun is still a great roaming super and is still the one I get the most multikills with. The gunplay perks? Just awesome. Maybe not as colorful and flamboyant as the other class but man the gunplay feels great on a gunslinger. So dead? No. No not at all.
-
Gunslinger isn't dead lol. I still use it as my main subclass. I love chaining head shots and having the x3 to reload and stability. Plus can't tell you how many times my golden gun has saved fireteams lives. I still use gunslinger in pvp as well, I do occasionally switch it up between bladedancer and nightstalker but gunslinger is my goto. Nightstalker I use to farm for materials and bladedancer I just like running around with my k if slashing ai and people. Also bladedancer is a savior in crotas end

4 commentairesThrowing knives for life. Gunslingers are not dead. They are balanced now.
-
8 commentairesSorry but shoulder charge takes more skill than throwing knives.
-
Gunslinger is far from dead lmfao but I've been playing nightstalker and a bit of blade since just before the update (before we even knew a balance update was coming) since out of the 14 days of crucible time on my hunter (at the time of the update), probably 13 and a half were as a gunslinger, so I decided to change it up for once
-
LOL gunslingers have always been the best hunter subclass. Who cares if they barely nerfed throwing knives they're only for finishing off a enemy. Who cares that they nerfed trips they're for scrubs anyways real gunslingers use incen nades
gunslinger all day. CHAIN OF WOE
-
So the fact that they buffed gunslingers SIGNIFICANTLY in PVE means nothing to you?? All of the cries I see about gunslingers being useless are based off of losing sticky nades and a need to the burn on throwing knife. And these complaints are always PVP related. A gunslinger can wreck with their super now in PVE. Try it.

7 commentairesReally? Bungie didn't need to fix gunslingers? Yes they did . Perfect example is mayhem clash. Yes the game mode is supposed to be chaos but it is a but too much when all you see is a map covered in tripmines . This only proves the statement that bungie made that hunter reliance on grenades and abilities was very strong and needed to be toned down.

Nice list of cons. How about some pro. -GG now kills max armor peep, two shots Defender bubbles. -Scavenger is now like simmering flame. 25% cool down per pick up? 4 boxes = a full recharged melee and nade? F'yeah -Circle of life is now usable. Who uses burn blades now when I can two to the chest, knife to the face and get an addition 10% off of my super charge. Then with scavanger, the body in from of me dropped a box of ammo, I get that knife back faster. - landing a trip mind on a player running at me does not result in the directed blast killing me as it now does its disco flip. The spin also does mutiple contact damage, and I believe can exceed a max armor player (not100% sure) -Swarm nades are more usable (still not awesome but still better)

1 commentaireI do not care but they nerf bladedancer harder. Recovery got so low when I use blink jump ability. It little hard to recover on PvP match.
-
Haaaaa.. my Hunter should say it all.
-
Since gunslinger got nerfed I switched to bladedancer which is alot better now.
-
3 commentairesGunslinger in PvP. Nightstalker in PvE. Btw I agree that they didn't need to nerd gunslingers whatsoever. Sticking people with triplanes was SO fun. If anything remove the dumb shoulder charge
-
Gunslinger is fine how it is and tbh I like how it is.
-
gg..gg man...just gg!
-
I use both gunslinger and bladedancer in both PvP and PvE.
-
Still use Gunslinger and it's still great.
-
I started playing Destiny yesterday after month long break. Used blade dancer for 10-15 games and it felt pretty inconsistent. Switched to gunslinger and boom 17-3. Gunslinger is still the most well rounded Hunter PvP subclass

3 commentairesLowering the trip mine damage so that they will never kill is stupid. They have a giant damn warning light. You could already just run through them without damage. Hell, I throw them at the ground when someone is about to jump over at me, they trigger, register 0 damage. And the worst part about not being able to stick isn't even that they don't work as a sticky, it's that they are so much harder to place as a trap. If someone is strafing around with a wall behind them, and you want to nade the wall, you often can't. It will hit them on accident, bounce off, and do nothing. Knife changes were so stupid. If the burn damage was the problem, change that perk. Now they are far less consistent. Put the changes back, reduce burn damage, make it so only 9+ armor can survive, make it so they actually do damage when they detonate.

I can wreck in crucible with gunslinger and tlw
-
lately i have been using my nightstalker with snare and predator its actually pretty fun

6 commentairesSeems by poll gunslinger is not dead. I think it's a pvp perspective but for pve they took a useless super and made it well super. It seems the biggest complaints are from a pvp perspective on just about everything, and views seem extreme it's either op or terrible.
-
Still gunslinger don't really feel any difference.
