We all take Xûr for granted. He comes in every Friday and sells us Exotics.
But what if I told you, that behind those Eerily glowing eyes he's not what we are looking at.
One day, I was happily jogging around looking for that Tentacle faced piece of garbage And eventually I found him. But when I Approached Xûr he murmured something that caught my attention.
'Bodies come and go, but the cells remember. If they forget, then I remember them for us.'
Now people usually ignore what he says and just buy what they want. But this comment made me drop everything and stare at the guy for five straight minutes. After staring, I realized something.
We see nothing of his skin but some tentacles and his shadowed face. So is he perhaps some sort of parasite that has taken control of many bodies over its years, and covers himself under an excessive amount of clothing to hide his probably decaying Skin? That's my guess.
So I conclude this theory. You may agree, you may not. Share your opinions below.

They sell us weapons to kill their enemies. This way when they attack we are weak and so is the darkness.

Modifié par NinjaMatic : 6/21/2016 11:24:25 PMI love theories about the Jovians, we know so little about them. Xur is both a Jovian and an agent of the Nine. Are all Jovians agents of the Nine? In which case does that make the 9 horrible slave masters, or are the Nine a Jovian run organisation? Varics is the warden of the Nine's prison of elders so we know they don't employ Jovians exclusively. Xur also say his will is not his own. That's an interesting but vague impact statement that could imply many things. Through whatever means his will has been usurped by the Nine. Extortion, mind control, drugs, contracts... it's all on the table at this point, and it may be suspect but it isn't necessarily sinister. Finally, where the he'll did the Jovians come from? The Jovians were said to be human settlements beyond the reef of which little was known asside from them being run by the Nine. So does that mean that Xur is an example of what humans have become beyond the reef? Or did humans find a new race out there? There was a time when Destiny was supposed to have 5 enemy races, but only four were revealed. I've never quite forgotten about that. The Taken could bee seen as a new race, and I wouldn't insist that you're wrong, but I never felt they were new, just modified hive, fallen, Cabal and Vex. Without actually playing it, SIVA looks to be similar. It isn't a new race, it's a modification of existing races. The Nine are just kind of lurking in the shadows... and my money is on the Jovians being the final enemy race. For now they are just biding their time, playing the various sides against one another to deplete their resources and weaken them... to make them vulnerable.

1 commentaireHold on! *proudly dawns spin metal cap* Xur is collecting all these strange coins right? Whats he do with them all? And ya know what? For starters why the hell are they so valuable in the first place? Are they essential to your guardians combat skills? No! We feed them as forms of wealth to an unknown union of intergalactic economic "wolves of wall street" who fund who knows what with them! Our hard earned "cash" is used to fund the furthering of the Traveler's wishes which are to rule the world! Feed them Exotics, let them claim the galaxy in their name to be ruled his own power!... We are all miniscule pawns. In a power struggle we have no real reward in.

"If they would not want it, you would not have it." - Xür, Agent of the Nine
-
Maybe Xûr killed
the architects :O
-
He says that because the nine operate a prison, he's referencing the creatures that have been in those sells that may or may not be in them still
-
2 commentairesMaybe Xur is just
blinded by the light
-
2 commentairesHe also said that he was a trash collector and that he sells trash to us.
Not exactly like that, but he said something close to it
-
2 commentairesXūr sells us exotics because the nine don't need them. They have a surplus of them because they have a factory or something. I'm guessing the strange coins are what keep the production going. Idk. Just read that some where once.
-
3 commentairesI want to know if anyone has seen xur when he appears or disappears. Is there an animation that could lend some credence to to cell coalesce theory?
-
"You must stop eating salted popcorn."

11 commentairesEris occasionally says "It's not over. Oryx is not dead."
-
6 commentairesQuestion is. Why is strange coins more important/valuables then an exotic that helps us kill our enemies?
-
3 commentairesXûr is a body manifested and controlled by the Nine. He/she.../it(?) often says "Some of my cells are from this world". Xûr arrives and leaves the Tower and Vanguard can not influence it. This leads us to believe that Xûr is A) Formed out of cells from different locations B) Can move without physical limitations So does Xûr teleport? I believe he simply forms and then fades away as the cells fall apart.
-
Well, remember that early on, we were kind of nervous about him, we just liked his stuff too much to drive him from the Tower. Now instead, his stuff is eagerly sought by adventurous guardians.

Not I, but the Nine

23 commentairesThere's 9 Iron Lords The Nine are called The Nine The 9 Iron Lords are "The Nine" we know and love and xur is their agent that brings us exotics that they own
-
2 commentairesXur is a collection of cells from other previously living things, created to look like a humanoid and controlled by the nine.

I'm pretty sure Xûr is a warlock - he wears a warlock bond and hooded trench coat - kind of like every warlock we know of so far. He is an agent of the 9 and his will is not his own . He said - I will remember them for us ( the cells) He warns take only what you understand ( meaning also that we give what we don't understand ) He visits the tower once a week ( what if the strange coins he collects is amassing a weapon crafted by the 9 to be used like the nano bots in big hero 6 ) But anyway this is the best resource I can cite : https://www.bungie.net/en-us/Forums/Post/74062413?sort=0&page=0

3 commentairesI feel like Xur is like Rey from the force awakens. Just scavenging parts for money to survive. Waiting for something to come.
