Why did bunge nerd the Galahorn?
-
There has been talk about bungie bringing in an "Overpowered weapon" where you feel "Like a god" while using it. It could be a substitute for the gjallahorn? Or maybe gjalla on steroids? Only the November update will tell
-
Just because... Well that's what Bungie does. I didn't get my Gjallarhorn until about a month before Xur sold it for the second time. I never had been booted from a raid team or had trouble on lfg finding a group for Scolas or anything else. If people were to get the boot it was because they sucked or were to annoying.

Gjallarhorn

They were tired of correcting peoples spelling of it?

PvP nerds decreed it took no skill to use even though PvE is not about skill it's about total destruction. People barred entry into certain activities. Finding a group for certain things was tough without one, but I managed fine. I even beat skolas solar burn with my icebreaker and hunger of Crota (my other teammates had gjally), but I was able to DPS like I had one. People were reportedly getting booted at bosses for not having gjally but I only got booted once from an activity. One I beat without gjally. I think Gjally is fine now given its been nerfed in damage plus we get less ammo for it now unless your lucky enough to get heavy ammo perk.

First off spell it's name right, second bungie wants you to feel weak, so they didn't want you to use the best weapon.

2 commentairesif you're going to talk about it, spell it correctly Gjallarhorn

It created a barrier to entry for high end activities where it was required by Lfg groups. Ironically enough they then created the black spindle and touch of malice which do the same damn thing.

Yea agree
