Just reworked my character to be a better balance of dps health and skill. So basically for awhile, my naive ass was rocking 246 k dps with 72 health or so. However my armor mitigation was only 54%. I recently crafted all new gear and rerolled gear to my liking. Now I'm sitting at 206 dps, 83 health and 11 skill. Armor mitigation is at 63% now and my critical hit chance is maxed at 60%, and critical damage is 194%.
Long story short, I feel some players are underestimating the power of armor. Sheer dps is usually not always better. I can say first hand that with this new build I just went on a manhunt solo and survived no problem and even tackled my first 1v4. Granted some extra help from the rehabilitation perk on the mask( I have a better mask but until they patch it I'll use the health glitch). Also, my weapons were mp5 and a high end M1a.
I was definitely one of those players who used to care just about dps. I would still get mowed down and would wonder how people would survive the damage I was spitting out. Armor and criticals... All a growing boy needs. If anyone wants help building a good balance just shoot me a pm. Otherwise feel free to discuss what works for you. I'm always up for learning new things and making changes.

I should add that the talents you pick come into play with this build too. For gear ones, I like reckless for the chest and then Savage for the gloves, as Savage gives you an additional 13% critical hit chance against targets out of cover. This adds onto the max 60,so it won't reflect on your stat sheet as its situational and impossible to calculate. For talents, I like critical save, one is none, on the move and then I switch my fourth between repo reaper, battle Buddy or triage.

My third char but my favorite one. 187k dps 78k stamina 12k electronic Vector (Brutal, destructive, stable) Ak74 (brutal, self-preserved, stable) Tactical 1911 (13.2 k dps) 30k regen First Aid (booster shoot) Very high buffed Smart cover (better than pulse in my honest opinion). -ATullo

3 commentairesPeople---with the help of YouTubers----are overestimating DPS, and undervaluing everything else. Which is why most PVP engagements in the DZ aren't straight up firefights....but are basically someone ganking you in the back while you're busy fighting AI oppoents. You have all these High DPS glass cannons running around, who can't survive taking any damage. They are useless in challenge mode....and will get used by someone with a more balanced build in a straight up fight. Got ganked yesterday in the DZ by a couple of rogues who wanted to be assholes. But this time I was actually part of a team. So my team mate revived me....and we proceded to just melt the two rogues (the last one going down as he cowered behind cover and the two of us just walked him down) ....and take their shit. Didn't need the bag full of purple gear (I'm all high-end now). But it was REALLY satisfying to rob someone who's idea of a fight is to shoot me in the back.

1 commentaireI know the sticky bfb bomb maxes out at 250k but does anyone know if you throw more skill power on it will it do more damage even though it still says 250k?
-
2 commentairesHealth and skill is my main focus. 89k health 53k skill snd 109 DPS. My team loves me and I have a blast playing this build lately
-
3 commentairesI've been on a League kick lately, but once it wears off I plan on making a full Stamina and Electronics build. Don't really need sky-high DPS when Smart Cover gives you 30% or more damage.

3 commentairesIt amazes me how many people overlook skill bonus.

2 commentaireslol I just have like a mental block when trying to understand all these extra builds. Im a really really good FPS player but this is my first shooter where a build is required. Its interesting although I still like equal footing battles in other games more,. Guess Ill jsut forever be a DPS guy

4 commentairesWhat do you think the best setup for challenge mode missions would be? I run with matchmaking, and I use the defibrillator launching thing and Smart Cover with decreased skill cool downs.
-
8 commentairesHow do you even get crit chance that high? I'm stuck at 39.5% and idk how to get it any higher

1 commentaireI may actually give this a go.

11 commentairesPics or your stats are BS.

It really just has to do with the way the game values certian stats for sheet dps. Not that it matters after a certian point.

21 commentairesOne of my friends did a successful challenging mission with a player they matchmade to fill the last spot. He had loaded his electronics up. He hardly used weapons at all. Healing and sticky bombs for days. She said it was the smoothest challenging mission ever. That's what I love about the division, there's more than one way to play.

http://www.divisiondps.com/ DPS is a bit inaccurate in the game, so use the link above for a better estimation of your DPS.

2 commentairesPeople also underestimate Skill Power. Ok so my build is 2210 Firearms (113k DPS), 1595 Stamina (48k Health) and 2653 Electronics (40500 Skill Power) with near max Armor (64.87% reduction) With an active Smart Cover up I get an additional 62.5% Damage Reduction and a 50% Damage boost which makes me take very little damage. I run either Pulse (40% Crit chance,78% Crit Damage) or a First Aid (Heals me for 82k health and gives me a massive overheal) I've taken out groups of four rouges before with this build. My Ultimate (Survivor Link) has a cooldown of 391 which is more then half the base cooldown

1 commentaireMight be a good idea to not assume everybody automatically knows what game you're talking about. Thanks.

If anyone wants to know a really cheap way to play with a group of 4 is getting a somewhat high electronics, run overdose on first aid and bfb on sticky bomb. Then take the talent where you get 15% of your ability a back when you heal a party member. Have 1 person run Smart Cover and pulse for the damage. Every time you use overdose everybody gets healed and you can use a bfb every 3-4 seconds
-
Skill and health is the name of my game. Sitting around 105k DPS, 75k health and 25k skill
-
I have no idea what game your talking about.

1 commentaireGood read but long read on damage in Division (OP is still updating as new stuff changes) http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1406853-WIP-Damage-amp-You Back to the post... I was the same, then I read that above and it made perfect sense really I rolled and Brutal/Deadly on my Vector and when compared to one I was using, it showed a DPS loss of 7k(no mods...V1-83k vs V2-76k) but when testing on targets the difference was opposite V2 is hitting crits at 55k vs V1 at 47k...after I remodded the V2, I'm sitting at 140k DPS and 72k HP...but the AI just melts up close(range mod gives me a total of 70feet) I am slowly starting to swap Firearms for Stam...trying to hit closer to 90kHP and hopefully keep my damage high enough Dead DPS does no DPS...working on armor stats is very important and should not be over looked Hoping Ubi/Massive are working on a fix for all these inflation stats, but for now I can workaround it easy enough thanks to the Firing Range
That's in my base and does not require me to look at a loading screen just to shoot something in the head for 30 seconds for testing
