Should we leave old consoles in the dust?
Honestly, it needs to happen. I played most of my Destiny career on PS3. I got a ps4 in December, and was able to buy Destiny in February. From what I understand, last gen is already struggling with Destiny as is, and I don't think they could handle private matches.
We need to move on from last gen, and move forward with Destiny. I heard that Sony was going to discontinue PS3 servers in 2017 anyway, so PlayStation users will be in the dust. If Destiny moves on to current gen, I think this game has much more potential.
I do realize that some people are less fortunate, and cannot afford to pay for a new console. That is why you should start saving now, for September. Please Bungie, move on.

Bungie even said that PS3 and 360 had limitations on the things we wanted.

This thread and those arguing for continued 7th gen support on destiny are wasting time as they have said from the beginning that destiny 2 would be ps4 and xb1 only , that it was only currently on both gens of the two consoles cause they wanted to reach a larger audience as at the time of 13-14 the size owners converted to ps4 and xb1 was significantly small enough to warrant four console releases , now and in the future this will no longer be the case , especially on psn side as ps3 has had its support dropped . It time to move on people

6 commentairesPeople who say that last gen is bogging things down, really have no clue. When SOCOM was still going somewhat strong we had private lobbies, matches, and it was 16 v 16 online! Sony killed the game, not because it wasn't good, but because that is what most competitive gamers that were into third person tactical shooters played. Not just to play, but to play in actual tournaments for real money and prizes. Sony killed it so people would move on to what they wanted then to play! They are the Shepherd's and you are the flock! Enjoy!

Any game that is released on both next gen and prior gen consoles is essentially a prior gen game... This shouldn't even be an issue... When a new console comes out, then the console developer has moved on... People didn't cry because they couldn't play they didn't make GameCube titles available for N64... Why? Because the system couldn't handle the next gen capabilities... Same thing here. Bungie has already admitted that some things can't currently be done because of the capabilities of last gen consoles... They should be left behind... They're consoles based on 11 year old technology... Apple doesn't still cater to people who bought the original IPhone, and the original IPhone was released two years after the 360 and PS3 first dropped.

No struggling with any last gen consoles.....the games are already seperate. 360 dosent play with xbone & ps3 dosent play with ps4. First it was vault space, which obviously was just another lie, now you make up private matches. If bungie wanted to give the ability for private matches to current gen & not last gen they could.......just like some emotes are only available on current gen & not last gen...... This is just pointless.....this game is not going to ever just drop 360 and ps3 support. (I mean sure, everything dies, or gets cut off one day.....just not anytime soon) For destiny 2....yes it will be xbone and ps4 only.

8 commentairesI still play on Xbox 360 but all the new gen console players are just salty bitches because I have the exact same game without having to fork out for a new console. I'll happily buy an Xbox One for Destiny 2, however until then I see no need for me to upgrade my console. FYI, Bungie have said they are never going to introduce private matchmaking.

1 commentaireIt's the fate of all consoles. Why they made destiny for 360/PS3 is beyond me. If they didn't have to do the old consoles destiny probably could of been ported to PC as well. Which would of probably increased its player base. And caused a number of exploits. So many exploits just from PS alone. Now, imagine bungie actually having to give a damn about cheaters compared to now.

I think for most on PS3 it is time to move on. I just bought a PS4 for my brother since he plays mine, I have had mine since day 1 as I am THAT guy hahaha. By the way how do you like your PS4 so far?
