Should we leave old consoles in the dust?
Honestly, it needs to happen. I played most of my Destiny career on PS3. I got a ps4 in December, and was able to buy Destiny in February. From what I understand, last gen is already struggling with Destiny as is, and I don't think they could handle private matches.
We need to move on from last gen, and move forward with Destiny. I heard that Sony was going to discontinue PS3 servers in 2017 anyway, so PlayStation users will be in the dust. If Destiny moves on to current gen, I think this game has much more potential.
I do realize that some people are less fortunate, and cannot afford to pay for a new console. That is why you should start saving now, for September. Please Bungie, move on.

Saved money...car needed new fuel pump. Saved money again...had to replace washer...then dryer. Saved money...family member needed some help. Hasn't been a good couple of years for me trying to save up and upgrade both mine and my wifes consoles.

The real question for Bungievision is, "Will it make enough money to warrant holding back the game?" I am still on X360, but this is really the deciding factor.

Matchmaking game times are within seconds on xbox 360 for crucible. You find games instantly in any playlist at any time of the day. Lmao "stuggling". Most of the best players have not switched over and we would wash you in private matches. You dont even know why/ if you even want private matches do you. Weve wanted them since day 1, please stop speaking on something you know absolutely nothing about, it makes you look really stupid and ignorant.

3 commentairesHi! I'm also on PS3 and for god's sake yes! Being stuck in last gen is harming development not only because of outdated technology but because Bungie must create 4 builds of the game per update. I do have a PS4 currently, but I do not have TTK on it and I do not have PSN. It would be at least a $100 cost for me, which I don't have. BUT... If it meant making the game easier to support and increased Bungie's development, I would gladly suffer until I could buy the game for PS4. Anyone who says differently is overtly selfish. It's not bad to be selfish sometimes as it's how we identify ourselves, but when you force others to suffer for your own sake, that's where I draw the line.

PS3 released November 2006. That's actually a long time ago. TV's were just breaking through 720p for outragous prices. The iPhone was on the horizon as the only true smartphone next to a blackberry. Some good years to remember in the advancement in technology. A old PS3 needs to be let go by the few that still use it as their daily console. Ten years

1 commentaireI don't see how private matches would be so memory intensive but the last gen consoles are holding games back. Realistically tho this gen shipped on such shitty hardware it can barely run games in 1080p which has been the standard for over a decade. That's sad. They're already trying to release a new ps4 and xbone nc of it which sucks bc I'm primarily a pc gamer and don't wanna waste cash upgrading a -blam!-ing console that I can spend upgrading my pc -.-

1 commentaireIt will happen in time. But why? Sometimes I feel like I am playing a 15 year old game, it's the games that need to advance and outdate the consoles. No variation in AI spawns or actions, bullet sponges etc. It's not 1990 anymore, lets get the games smarter.

Current gen has already been out for like 2 or 3 years. With VR on the horizon as well, there is no reason to not leave last gen behind. Destiny 2 will be current gen, guaranteed Destiny is being held back because it's on last gen.
