Which is the scariest horror game here? And feel free to add your choices too.
Edit: so far Outlast is winning. Which is agreeable, especially with naked insase twins chasing you in an asylum. Oh the fun!
Edit: I thought a lot of people would choose Amnesia.... but eh
Edit:Alien Isolation is in sevknd place...

Modifié par wojo55 : 4/7/2016 1:20:30 AMVoted outlast cause out of all those game it relies on cheap jump scares the least. They're in it though Edit: have not played amnesia

4 commentairesDank Souls. You don't know fear until a giant -blam!-ing monster is about to tear your ass up.

15 commentairesWhile I can see how Outlast is winning, I believe Amnesia: The Dark Descent is the much scarier game of the two. While Outlast is more primal, Amnesia taps into the genre of Lovecraftian Horror and does it very well, which not many games can claim. It is beautifully designed, each environmental detail built to lead you from one scare to the next, with the guise of free exploration. Not to mention the entire game is a careful balance between surviving and maintaining your sanity through your light sources. The atmosphere and immersion possible in this game is incredible, and I feel is the more haunting of the two titles. Not to say Amnesia doesn't have it's flaws, though, predictable enemy spawning being one of the flaws, especially in the late game. I believe part of the reason Outlast is getting more votes is because it is more mainstream, being able to reach a wider audience, on top of being a more recent release with better visuals.

Definitely not Resident Evil, Alien Isolation, or Dead Space. I don't like getting really scared, and since I'm willing to play those, they're not that scary.

Modifié par FrostD : 4/6/2016 11:44:34 PMLots of people dismiss jump scares But with how predictable Jump scares have become it's actually quite hard to pull off So when I sat a chair in the middle of my living room and watched my brother literally jump out of his chair... Yah Outlast Wins Even without the nudy twins and doc dong be gone

Played all but SCP and Outlast wins this for me.

4 commentairesOutlast is the only one on this poll people here have played. I voted SCP as when I played it it was such an uncontrollable buggy mess that literally ANYTHING could happen and go wrong. It's unpredictability was what made it so frightening. Also the statue monster.
they've probably patched it now
3 commentairesAlien Isolation is the only scary game I've ever played that was actually scary. I think it was mainly because I was playing it on an oculus rift but holy cow that game gave me nightmares!

Alien was terrifying with a headset. Having the music climax while the alien dropped from the vents...

Dead space 2 was a good horror game

1 commentaireI'd say.....Super Mario Bros.

silent hill 2. never made it past the beginning level.

Why are people picking resident evil?! I remember playing the first one just after it came out and at about 8 years old YES it was scary.. But now it's not even a resident evil game
