Anyone know how to nerf the last word?
It seems like the gun as a whole is overpowered, and im not sure how you could nerf it without it being completely awful.
Edit: say what you want about how balanced it its, but it's overused. no question. the only solution is to either nerf it, buff other weapons, or nerf fusion rifles.

I stopped using tlw because I got GoM and imo the latter is way better. TLW is balanced but it is overused as hell. TL;DR Nerf fusion rifles.

1 commentaireI would say it doesn't need to be nerfed at all. It does exactly what it's meant to do at this point. Hell it loses to the Doctrine at most ranges anyway. The Last Word is fine as is. If anything people should be complaining about the Thorn

Overused? Of course it is. They made a quest around using it. It would've been hilarious if they made a DoT Fusion rifle you could only get by using Thorn for a tedious quest through the crucible.

Thorn is STILL more OP unless you are using it in Year 2 PvE or light level based crucible playlists such as Trials of Osiris.

Make it like vanilla thorn with the slow reload. That way, anyone using the gun will be kicked for inactivity as they wait for their gun to finish reloading :) That'll take care of them. [spoiler]and me[/spoiler]

Increase its range, impact, and stability. Also an extra round n the mag would be nice.

Just needs a slight nerf to range, I mean it has like a little over a pixel of range in it's stats yet it can hit from pretty damn far away for good damage too

First of all, I think the word "overpowered" has completely lost its meaning. Yes it's good but it should be because it's exotic

Only nerf I would suggest is reduce the extreme ADS range because some shots fired with it shouldn't register at all but they do.

It's not overpowered. It used to be, but they did a good job. It now does what it's supposed to: shred in CQC

The best way: don't. Fix the damage done to the other weapons first. PvP has had it's time in the sun, and it's about time they focused on some of the game's core issues before doing anything else with it.

I say leave it alone. Stop nerfing everything. Buff damage on autos in closer ranges maybe. But no more nerfs.
