Iron Banner drop rates STILL SUCK v2 (Calling out Cozmo/Deej)
As title suggests. Please bump to keep this alive and force Cozmo to respond. I think most of us are fed up of grinding out Iron Banner and having next to no drops and rubbish rank 5 rewards.
Cozmo/Deej I want a real answer as to what Bungie are going to do about this.
EDIT: Cool we're trending. Nice to know its not just my crew that has bad loot drops. Just to make it clear though this isn't about me, it's about the fact that we as loyal players aren't being rewarded fairly for the time we invest in the game. Also Bungie said that the drops were supposed to be our primary source of IB loot but everyone I know and a lot of what I read say that because of the poor percentage of drops (and rubbish rolls) they just end up buying the vendor stock anyway.
To those who got great loot this time congrats, RNGesus be with you.
EDIT #2: Just wanted to post this link to HeyFitzy's findings on the IB drop rates from last time. Really great work from this guy and thought it deserved some more spotlight.

EDIT #3: Some interesting results here. It seems some people are getting ridiculous good drop rates in an IB week and some are barely seeing a single drop. RNG comes into play of course but the degree of range between players is extreme in some cases.......perhaps the drop rates are glitched as some have suggested????
EDIT#4: Great idea from tritonxl here - "I don't get why the loot system doesn't stack. Say you play 5 games without leaving the playlist - each time exponentially increasing your chance until something drops. Then it resets and you start the process over again."

EDIT#6: Found this link today https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/48y2et/in_case_paul_tassi_needs_a_list_of_things_we/ which has lots of interesting info on things that need to be fixed in the game, in particular IB related stuff. The latest info says that the IB drop rates are as low as 2 or 4%........really Bungie???

Same here. Got all 3 characters to rank 5. Got one sniper and one RL from drops. Both 280ish, awful rolls. Best thing I got from packages was a 303 chest piece, which was deleted immediately. One thing I did notice was the players that came 5 or 6th got a lot more drops than the top 4.

Most wouldn't know how crappy the rewards are because they couldn't get on to play cause of the crappy servers.

Once I hit rank 3 I got a weapon/armor drop about every 15 games or so.

1 commentaireSeemed something was wrong. I only saw a couple of weapons drop after getting all 3 characters to level 5 . Yet some people claimed they had a lot of drops. Also having terrible luck on passages. Best i got was a 311 version of a 310 fusion i allready had. Wow

3 commentairesIn the past 2 IB's I've gotten ONE gun as a drop. This week's stats: Hunter-47 games (1st to rank 5 on thurs) Warlock- 22 games (2nd to rank 5 on sat) Titan- 20 games (3rd to rank 5 on Mon) Got a 285 sniper on my Titan rank 2, on Monday. Literally the only gun I've gotten from a drop this Iron Banner or last (probably had roughly the same number of games)

At this point they might as well deliver the drops to your postmaster and make it a 100% rate.

This Iron Banner did suck for me. I play at 297 light and got pretty much all stuff lower. I got the 310 ghost from Lord whatever which I got in the previous IB! Last IB I did get m first 300+ items: ghost, artifact, boots, and bond. So that was good but NO WEAPONS??? I ranked up to level 5 this time real early and got crap. Seriously Bungie please fix this!

2 commentairesIB this past week was the same for me. One sniper and one rocket launcher drop the entire week and I know I played at least 150+ games. This is what will make ppl leave and play other games. The RNG difference between players is staggering. How is it that one player get everything and another player gets close to nothing? Everything should be equal and no one person should have a better chance at getting something. I think its safe to say that whatever they are doing isn't working and needs to be fixed. I would be okay with IB not showing up for a month if it means fixing this joke of a loot system. Im pretty ppl have complained about this before and nothing has been done. Just digging their own grave at this point.....

Brought a friend with me to iron banner this week. Played everyday to do bounties plus a few more games for rewards. My friend doesn't like pvp so much but he endured it to get some new stuff. He got one weapon drop this week. Now he prob won't play iron banner anymore. So we jump in and do the raid challenge that took 20 minutes and got a bunch of loot 320 and 310+ weapons. The time grinding iron banner is a waste.

1 commentaireBUMP! I've pretty much ONLY played Destiny since October '14. Actually 1061h - 3h deleted Makes up 6 weeks 2 days 5 hours 37 minutes 8 seconds. 3 active and 1 deleted characters. PSN YourMomShotYou These Drop rates are finally causing me to look elsewhere for entertainment. Before TTK I was able to achieve end game light level through grinding IB each month. I don't have a ton of time to do raids. Most of my 1061 hours are not spent longer than 1 or 2 hour spans. TTK even if you do raid and on HM. You have to grind the raids... extensively to get to 320. Not just 3 or 4 times but 10x or greater. Unbelievable.

Now imagine playing Last light and never hardly ever finding a zombie. When you finally find one it turns out to be a pacifist and refuses to fight. That would make the game pointless. Destiny is like that now. Pointless.

6 commentairesThe guaranteed rewards were [i]significantly[/i] improved starting with the November IB. The rewards are still just as good as they were back then. The problem is, that was 3 months ago. Everyone has jumped up quite a few light levels in that time, so a 315 drop, for example, doesn't excit you like it used too. In short, our standards and expectations have increased along with our light levels. I would expect the IB rewards to climb in light level along with the spring light level increase. Until then, 315-320 light level players will just have to accept the fact that the IB rewards system is more geared for 290-310 players. So be happy for that 303 Titan who gets a shiny new 315 gun to boost him to 305. You were all in his shoes once. ;)

Rank 3 should drop 300-310 rank 4 should only drop 310-315 Rank 5 should only drop 315-320 Rank 5 should have a legendary drop rate similar to sparrow racing which was about one in 4 races and races were about 5 minutes long. For Iron banner that's about every two to three matches. It's not even close to that. I think Bungie consider that low drop rates deter play and drive people away. Good loot makes people play more.

I got ok rewards for grinding to rank 5. I got 2 helmets, 2 gauntlets and 3 RLs. Only used one weekly bounty to hit rank 5 and probably played 75 matches. That's better than my usual haul but the rank 5 package was straight garbage. It was so bad it made me not grind the other two characters even though I had plenty of time and the bounties already completed to make it.

Yes....I played my 7 Games and the drop rate was broken, please give me my 320 Ghost. Best drop I had, and all 3 of my Characters made Rank 5, was a 313 item from a Rank 5 package, all in game drops were under 300 and I was playing as a 315.
