Petition to bind ammo synth/consumables to the D-pad
We've all been there. You're in the middle of fighting that SABER-2 void burn, and suddenly your truth runs dry. You can't open the inventory, you'll be killed. You just have to hope and pray a heavy crate drops from one of the random-ass exploding shanks.
Sign of you're tired of it and want an easier way. Holding a D-pad direction for a second should activate our selected ammo synth. You'll still be able to dance and emote by simply tapping the direction.
Let's get ol' Deej to tell the devs about this. Maybe community wish list?
Edit: dinnydevil said we should be able to bind all items, and I agree. So I changed the title to ammo synths/consumables instead of just ammo synths.
Edit 2: MicroDragonBorn's idea (hold X for several seconds on the weapon and it activates the respective synth) is also great.
Edit 3: Wow, top of trending. Actually my first trending post. YOU READING THIS, BUNGIE? 100% of the community wants you to add this function to the game!
Edit 4: A lot of people have been suggesting using the ghost screen to activate synths. I think TheSilverSmoker's idea (open the ghost screen, select between the 3 types of synth with the D-pad and activate with A) is probably the most practical. YOU HEAR THAT, BUNGIE?! ONE MORE GREAT SUGGESTION FOR HOW TO ADD THIS FEATURE!
Edit 5: I encourage you all to follow SirFancyBread's excellent example. Deej will have to take notice eventually. Bump this thing to hell and back.

Won't happen. They already made people pay for dance moves. That would piss those people off causing mass crying on the forums how it's unfair since they spent there money to be Michael jackson.

Singed with passion I think that in the ghost screen you should have the ability to switch between the emote d-pad and the consumables d-pad and in your inventory there would be a d-pad screen where you could set all 4 directions on the d-pad for both emote and consumable d-pads.

It would be much simpler if you consumed a synth for the equipped weapon whenever you are out of ammo and hit the reload button!

That alone made it almost a completely different game when I moved from PS3 to PS4. But, tying it to the d-pad is a terrible idea. I see the potential for a lot of rage from wasted synths.
