For me it was a combination of not having year one gear*, not having anyone to play with**, and no longer having an efficient internet connection**
*i had a roommate that played destiny. He showed me it and pretty much convinced me to get it back before the dark below. After about 2 months later he quit (he had been playing a few months before I joined) saying it was too repetitive and boring. Even though he was right I didn't really care because I enjoyed playing. I enjoyed the chase of "op weapons" to see how really op they were. I enjoyed playing content over and over because it meant I got a chance at something good. But that wasn't enough for him. Anyway I play for about 6 more months until ttk dropped and pretty much acquired and maxed out everything. Raids, iron banner, trials, ev-er-y-thing. he ended up coming back when taken King dropped and started playing before I did. And wow how pissed I was to see everything I did meant nothing and that regardless of what we had before taken King, regardless of how hard we worked, were both on equal ground. It made me mad because I spent HOURS making sure that wasn't the case. Strike one
**in my time playing I made some friends in destiny. Complete strangers I now know the names and bits and pieces of their life because of this game. They were all friends in real life (went to the same school) and were pretty cool kids. They even invited me to their clan. Cool right? But they never invited me to anything. Any time they were on they were either already full or already had a guy on the way. I'm not a salty guy. It's just a game. So I went to lfg. Every week. I added so many people that they would laugh at the clan name and I try to dismiss it like a guy waiting on the divorce to go through who got asked about his wife. Needless to say I don't get many invites without pestering lfg for a half hour.
***i moved to a place in BFE and the only isp they have is satellite internet. I don't know if you kids have heard of this but I'll be the first to tell you, it sucks ass. It actually sucks so much ass so hard that I can't even get matchmaking to connect me with another person. Unless I join someone else's fireteam I won't be seeing any other players. So I'm pretty much stuck doing the daily and dicking around in patrol.
But what would make you come back? They're fixing things but Is it too little too late? For me they'd have to put in an ascension/higher difficulty and drops for old content system. And Optional matchmaking/in game lfg.
But my list is pretty short...what's on your fix list for destiny to not be condemned?

3 commentairesDo you have a new definition of the word quit? Since it can't be what Webster describes. Especially if it pertains to anything around this video game. Makes you wonder if stupidity loves to hear itself talk......
