Well. The glitch doesn't work anymore.
And who was banned for loot cave exploit?
Or ToC exploit?
Or crota exploit?
No one.
no one will be punished. Sorry
"loot cave exploit" wasn't really an exploit, ToC.. 3oC? Three of coins wasn't an exploit, Crota exploit.. the one where you unplugged your internet and crota stayed down? People got banned for that, Heavy ammo glitch.. people got banned for that, Unlimited revives.. people got banned for that.
-
Do yoy have proof of people being banned for all this?
-
Is it that hard to use google? Bungie doesn't post bans.
-
No. But if your going to make a claim. Show evidence.

Okay you got me there. I'll admit it. But God dam .
you care a whole lot more than you probably should :)
-
I care so you don't have to.
-
Well you should join the military then :D
-
And no one had their gaming experienced harmed in any way. That's why no one should and will be banned for that.
-
Plus you are in a field of work that has to balance the black, white and the gray. You should understand just how touchy this situation is. We are not criminals. We are consumers.
-
Well when Crota first came out. Majority of players didn't even know how to do the raid legit. It was so exploitable that people didn't need to learn legit.
wasn't until my 3rd crota run that I found people who knew the mechanics and we're willing to teach me
I'd say that ruined my gaming experience for the ultimate end game content at that point in time.. This is the gray area you were talking about. Like you said, this endgame activity was extremely exploitable. With so many glitches and exploits that it had, it was a MAJOR disaster on Bungie's part. And the fact that they were found so quickly and so early didn't help. Almost all the players were using exploits to bypass areas of the endgame activity without even knowing it. With so many defects in the game, Bungie had no right to ban anyone.
-
And that is exactly how it is for SS glitch. The Shadowshot glitch is a massive failure on Bungie part. They even had to postpone trials because of their mistake.
-
Yes, but temp bans for people who abused this is more viable because 1: Less people used this glitch than the ones who cheesed CE 2: Not banning people who gain an advantage using means that were unintended by the devs is a big "sit on it" to those of us who decided to play the game the way it was meant to be played. CE was an exception because cheesing was so common that it was percieved as the "normal" way to beat the raid.
-
So your saying if exploiting shadowshot was the general consensus of the community you would be okay with it?
-
No, I'm saying that since Bungie was careless to the point where exploiting in CE was actually thought to be the legit way to beating the raid, no one should've gotten banned for that. But since EVERYONE knew that the shadowshot glitch was outright wrong and that it hurt the community as a WHOLE, anyone who used it should've been banned.
-
Yeah, it did effect the community in the negative way of postponing trials. But it's not really a bannable offense. Think to battlefield. Did anyone get banned for usas12 w/frag rounds? Think to call of duty. Anyone ever get banned for locking down spawn kills? These negatively effected all players. No one was banned. Because it's not a bannable offense.
-
Spawn killing was technically a part of the game. If it were unintended, it would have been removed(in some way). It wasn't cheating, therefore it wasn't a ban-able offense. And as for Battlefield, I have nothing to say about that because I never played that game lol
