I've died mid hammer many times,
If you're stupid enough to run into me, that's on you. You're going to get nailed.
If you're clever enough to sneak up behind me and unload quickly, well that's on me.
(I don't have bong eyes so can't check in front and the radar at the same time)

if your stupid enough to die mid hammer with that armor and healing on a kill thats on you.
-
Lol that's my PVE gear, and setup. I use the healing though. but in all honesty, I prefer striker anyway.
-
lol I wasnt talkign bout the gear. just the armor boost. I SUCK at pvp, and while I dont PVP much I've yet to be killed with an active sunbreaker super. I've taken otu 2 stormbringers and a blade dancer that all popped supers to try and kill me at one time. killed the blade dancer before he could get to me, healed. took out the first storm caller, healed. took otu the second, healed. ran onto the controll point and flung a hammer down a hallway because the super was about to end and got a random kill. I've had stormcallers come up behind me and try to kill me with their super while in my super. I had more then enough time to turn around and kill them, healed. the armor is insane and the heal of fire kills make you damn near invincible.
-
Well that is on you ... you shouldn't get flanked especially in super mode. See red - throw hammer- profit - repeat 5 times
-
But if I'm focused on two dudes in front i dont have time to check the radar. I don't have googly eyes.
-
Well each time you kill one of the dudes in front of you you should regen health so the guy in the back still can't kill you and you'll be full health when you turn around.
-
See, non Titans don't know how it works. If you take damage the health regen stops. I killed a Titan with hammer the other day. Dude was chasing two others, didn't see me hiding as he passed and I popped my found verdict in his back. Died with 3 shots. It's a super. It should be powerful. Stop crying and run or get better at killing them. (Disclaimer: I am not good at pvp. If I can kill one anyone should be able to).
-
Again though, that's poor play on titans part.
-
Maybe so, but most players aren't the best pvp player in the universe. Equally great players will have a void bow, a sniper, or teamwork ready to counter. Or they'll run. This super isn't overpowered. It's just powerful, and you can't kill it with ease so people think it's op and whine and whine and whine.
-
True, but sometimes they are fidgety buggers and I don't run the hammer that tracks. It certainly needs a few tweaks, I completely agree it's overpowered.
-
yeah, I'm ok with it but the timer is so long if you have to outrun it. You can pretty much run a lap around any map in 20 seconds. So something has to give.
-
Sneak up on you? That's only possible with Hunter invisibility unless you're just bad and never watch the radar that gives you a pretty long range warning of where enemies are.
-
Stop taking it literally, I mean flank them, get up behind them if you can and take them out that way. If not, then run away.
-
Sneak of behind you? I think we want some encounters that don't require us to go play inferno or be a blade-dancer.
-
Modifié par Hoggzi : 10/9/2015 3:55:56 PMSo you expect to be able to run face first into a super? You can't do it to any other super in the game so why would you against a HoS? Plus, it's not like a Titan is super mode for the whole match. Changing your tactics for 30 seconds doesn't make a change. Smh
-
Bladedancer.... people run at them headfirst and kill them all the time via shotgun+melee.
-
Remember trying that before the nerf?
-
Yeah, there's the keystatement, "before the nerf." The same applies to Sunbreaker. As it is now, there is very little that stands a chance at effectively stopping somone in HoS. In fact, the only thing that has killed me while using HoS so far was a FoH and another Sunbreaker's HoS.
-
I'm well aware of it, personally I run striker. As I prefer that super. Other than armour sunbreakers aren't that strong. But my point is, before bladedancers were nerfed the forums and situation were exactly the same as they are now. We know the sunbreaker will get a nerf, and it'll probably come in the next patch, just in time for IB. Bungie will address it far quicker than they did with the bladedancers, so all we can do up until that point, is find ways to outplay it. I'm not trying to be awkward with you, or the other guy on this post. I'm just trying to say there is ways around it.
-
Of course there is. I've killed Sunbreakers a few times using snipers (2 shots from a safe distance, one of which has to be a headshot). I've also killed them with two shadowshots or my own HoS. They're certainly not unkillable, but compared to your options when facing the other mobile supers there isn't very much you can do that is as effective. I just don't like all these people going around in denial that HoS needs some sort of adjustment. Not some sort of super breaking nerf though. To me, that's how what you were saying sounded. But if you agree that some sort of change is coming, hopefully balancing and not breaking (I do like playing my Sunbreaker as well, so I dont want it to be useless), then I have no arguement with you.
-
Not that I'm trying to make excuses for myself, but I have a personality disorder and I sometimes get myself flustered and fail to get my points across. Written format is obviously hard to convey certain points anyway, but I do agree with the point that it is overpowered. And to be fair, those are just my ways of dealing with it, probably not as useful to others. I just really hope the super isn't rendered useless in PVE, it's fun to use.
-
I never said that I should be able to just charge a sunbreaker (I really don't recall saying that) but I would at least like to snipe them, or focus fire them, or hide from them, or be able to dodge them.
-
You said that sneaking up behind them isn't an option, thus saying indirectly that you'd rather fight them head on. It takes 2 head shots with a sniper, provided your good and in cover you can take them out that way. Dodging them, although awkward, is simply a case of being aware of what's around you, if you jumped back over, and around a corner that buys you a few seconds. Hiding, is again, rather simple. Equip a sword for the 3rd person view, peek around a corner if you hear a hammer activate. While the super is active you have many options, if you can't kill them (granted they do have high armour) then you should retreat, 20 seconds running away is all it takes. Most Titans jus tend to fling hammers left right and centre without any real regard to what they are doing, and it's very simple to outsmart such players. I myself have dabbled with HoS in PVP and I've been killed 3/5 times its activated, thanks to smart players.
-
Yes I do suppose that your tactics would worn in niche situations, but you sound exactly like a thorn defender back in the day, remember when people kept saying that thorn was indeed balanced because you can use a red death of a messenger to counter it? Yeah just because it's not absolutely unbeatable doesn't mean that it's not too powerful. I don't want Titans to become irrelevant again, but I also don't want them to be a retake or Y1 hunters.
-
Mate, please understand that I'm not trying to argue with you, it's hard to convey a point properly over a written format. I main a Titan, as it stands I prefer striker in PVP, as it almost feels like I'm cheating using HoS. I know it's not fair. It's wet powerful armour wise and should be a 1 shot headshot with all snipers not just black spindle. The y1 bladedancers situation was horrible, they reigned supreme. I don't want the same situation in y2 with sunbreakers. I'm just offering advice on what I know has killed me the few times I've used HoS, and the many times I've had to outrun it. I'm sorry if you thought I was being a dick, I come across somewhat blunt when I write.
