Are motes of light useless now?
I have like 200 of these things and not sure what's the best way to use them now.
Edit: thanks for the help guys now I know how to properly use these things.

Donate them to your faction. It's about 30 per rank.

I usually use them to level legendaries when I manage to save up a full set of good gear, then wear all of them while using telemetries to maximize the experience per mote; but, I otherwise turn in my motes to the FWC vendor for rep when I don't have the beginnings of a good equipment set.

Eat them for xp, or donate them to factions. Also still have the small uses they had before; only Xur doesnt want them anymore. Funny, where do motes come from now? Guardian would crap them out by over leveling, but now they can eat them to grow faster...

Motes are way more useful now than they used to be.

You hold down square to consume them.to upgrade gear. Also you can use them to level up factions for packages. They are extremely useful. There is this new thing called google, try it out ;)

They can be "used" to upgrade weapons and gear. Or just turn them in to raise your faction level.

With a telemetry you can fully level a legendary weapon with like 13 motes. They are not useless at all.

1 commentaireLevel your faction. 200 isn't shit. Just play each day and you'll get over 50 a day. Or use them to leave weapons and gear.

Werent they useless before, then? They have a lot more uses now than they had predlc. Predlc it was purely for reforging and engrams at xur (im glad they changed that to coins instead).

They're more valuable then EVER now I think.. I use the to level up new guns and armor. I use them to rank up with factions..

Apart from the fact that you use them all the time when infusing and you can just [ ]Use them to boost the XP of equipped stuff perhaps the best use is to hand them into to one of the three factions to boost the rep so it upgrades a rank. When I've been playing for a while and got a pile of Motes I see which of my three is closest to the next faction rank and go and pour some motes in there. In the upgrade package you usually get 5 coins, 5 motes and some legendary item. If nothing else it's good for 3 marks (and more if you upgrade the item before breaking it).
