I've ran through quite a few, yet here's my take, Sniper...
Time is precious, after having time to run through all of the new strikes, some have been deemed a waste of such. the length of time it takes to complete vs backing out immediately and reentering to do a new one which would take less time is the issue at hand. my time is valuable. So to address which strikes would be the most cost effective in the value of my playing time is what I will continue to do. Am I trash for not wanting to partake in a strike that's going to take 30 mins vs a strike that can be completed in 22, I think not. More than likely, I will carry a squad for such, complete 3 strikes in the amount of time it took you to complete 2. Value added transaction bud, I put in my time where i see fit as do others. It's a matter of principle. so don't cry, Bungie alleviated the issue for you with dropping in players when other leave.

Okay so you are just trolling then? Good for you! I don't need attention bad enough to troll, so I don't bother with it myself, but glad you got that reaction you craved. I also have to pat myself on the back, I must have some good reasoning if you can no longer play decil's advocate. So what is my prize for playing? Since I obviously won. ;)

Umm I first class ticket to oryxes lair, courtesy of Bungie? 3 of coins need as a bonus?

You seem to miss the reason of why we don't care. You're all a bunch of randoms on the Internet playing a video game, do you really think that we care about what you think or whether or not you're having fun? No we don't care, we are here to play the game how we want to play it. Whether you see our right to play how we want as being douchey or not, it doesn't matter to us, we aren't here to please you. Why do people complain about it? because you're all a bunch of spoiled first world children who have nothing better to cry and whine about, so you choose to cry over something as unimportant as a video game. Just be happy you live in a decent a country and actually get to play cause lots of ppl don't have that right. If someone backs out then the game needs to do its job and find a replacement, now if the game can't find a replacement then that's bungie's fault, not the person that quits. I play rocket league and when someone quits I almost immediately get a replacement. I'm sure if a small game like rocket league which has wayyyyyy less than destiny could replace players so easily then so can destiny. That just ruined your streak argument. This is a video game, if we want to be picky and not do certain strikes we have every right not to do them. You can cry about it in any context you want, you're still just a spoiled first world citizen complaining about an unimportant hobby. If you want to complain about something come up with some real problems and quit crying over a game. We are being greedy and only care about ourselves? Shall I remind we are playing a video game for our own fun and entertainment, we aren't playing the game to care about what some spoiled first world child on the Internet thinks. TL:DR Then you have the attention span of a 12 year old, get an education then read the post or go away.

Then just select a particular strike that you deem cost efective from the actual planets. Quit wasting my time having to solo a strike because of YOUR principles. Problem solved.
-
not if the quest requires heorics.
-
Sorry but that's still not a good enough excuse. Your telling me that your time is more valuable than my time is? I believe you should wait and see how a strike will pan out before you decide to screw me over. Because that is exactly what happens. I've had to solo 6-7 heroic strikes because of people like you.
-
well bud, you can look through my history and find 1-, 1 strike I left on at the beginning. So "people" like me is just playing devils advocate for the time being....
-
I'm merely basing my comments off of yours. And based off of your original post is very easy to assume you're one of those "people".
-
We'll like this guy just told us he quits strikes that take a few minutes longer so what we need is a 15 min penalty for the first fire team member to quit
-
But you get better rewards for staying in the playlist...
-
I should have stated this in the initial post. So I had this DO quest for the exotic cloak. It requires 10 heroic strikes and 10 crucible wins. So the "end" game rewards were not something I even worried about. Considering I can shave 8 mins per strike off pending which one i land, I would retain 80 mins worth of time to complete the crucible portion.
-
Not necessarily, if you have to keep leaving, waiting for load screens, queue up, travel, wait for another load screen, you should have just done the strike. Then, maybe you may find a decent team who's in your level and just rip through the rest of the strikes.
-
If 8 minutes is that big of a deal, yes, you're trash
-
With your 7 nightfall completed, and 19 weekly heroics, do you truly have any weight in your statement?
-
I understand your point...hell, I agree with most of it. However, please consider the following: When you leave a strike after matchmaking, you are impacting other players strike rewards streaks and some of them may be using 3 of coins as well. I hop you can at least see where the frustration sets in. Even well above the light limit, some of those Heroic strikes are hellishly difficult to two-man.
-
You don't lose the three of coins buff if you drop out do you?
-
It shouldn't be an issue that affects others buffs when someone leaves. Being that person is replaced eventually, the beginning is the best place for someone to leave is all I'm saying.
-
A lot of the time the people do not get replaced, and if they do it is only at the very end.
-
I truly don't think I 've ever paid attention lol. I just run man, and if someone drops they drop. There's so much other things that could be happening in why someone bails in the middle or end I don't worry about it. Connection issues, family issues, or maybe it truly is too hard. I can't hold things like that against people. Hell, I don't play with a mic unless Im doing a raid or playing with people I know, so I couldn't tell you the circumstance. But I think this is getting blown out of proportion. Do i bail at the begining everytime I pick up the sticks, no. But have i bailed at the beginning, yes.
-
Isn't that when they're most needed anyway?
-
Not when they only join in when the boss just died.
-
Just had that happen on one of my last runs... He ended up getting 3 strange lights for doing nothing.
-
ohhhh...now that one sucks, You run the whole thing and they come in and get 0 kills LOL>

But by backing out you increase the completion time for the remaining players. Its faster to clear an area with 3 players as opposed to 2 or even 1. If you're after a grind, just do solo patrol, engram drop rates are basically the same. If you want boss rewards, help your fellow guardians so they can help you.
