In the Name of Balance
The Good:
Blink has been nerfed, the ram has been nerfed, shotguns have a bit less range, gunslinger grenades got buffed, Shaxx goes crazy now, blink shotgun is dead, Thorn & Tlw aren't op anymore, messenger archetype pulse rifles had a stability nerf, auto rifles have returned, scout rifles are useful, range actually matters, defender has been buffed(WOD), cosmetic stuff looks cool, new game modes are fun
The Bad:
Bolt grenades suck, blink strike hasn't been fixed (but bladedancer doesn't have much at this point), hopscotch has been defiled, Nolan North is strange, I can't wear my exile class items, Thorn is still pretty strong, Laced up Lauren hasn't agreed to marry me...
Overall I believe the game now has some well overdue balance. In pve when it comes to crutch things like ghorn, icebreaker & blackhammer. & in pvp speaking about blink shotgun, thorn, last word & my personal pet peeve, final round.
What do you guys think? Were the changes uncalled for or well deserved? Do you still believe something to be op?
Edit: I'm calling it at 7pst on the day of 2.0. No Time To Explain(exotic stranger's rifle) will be the most op gun in year 2 of destiny
Edit 2: I've noticed a majority of complaints are towards the pulse rifles & mainly the messenger. You guys should realize trials is gone for a minimum of 2 months & when it comes back there will be no messenger, they're making all new weapons & armor for ttk that will replace old trials stuff which means there probably won't be a high damage pulse this time
Edit 3: Wow over 500 comments we're getting a lot of different opinions about the state of crucible. Do you believe it's more or less balanced than before?
Edit 4: Made a few changes because of new info. I've been seeing the stranger's rifle everywhere, I'm telling you guys in less than a month No Time To Explain will own crucible

They need to fix Blink Strike stab. Sometimes I'll initiate the teleport, but hit nothing and it gets used. Then I die..

1 commentaireGetting cross mapped by the messenger is still ridiculous, and blink-shotgun is still very prominent, and the 2-shot hawk moon is ridiculous. But I'm still okay with crucible. (The secret is the herja-d or hawksaw)

1 commentaireok with pretty much everything but the field scout nerf - no rationale for that at all I'm ok with it not being a perk available going forward but retro removing a perk WITHOUT A REPLACEMENT PERK ???? Some of us kept 1 version of a weapon if we had multiples because it had field scout and made it the better choice for our play style, now it is a joke even for old content

2 commentairesI don't like the shotgun nerf for PvP but I respect it. Hell, it gives me a solid reason to try and GG with snipers. The thing I DON'T agree with at all is the PvE shotgun nerf. They are pretty much useless now.

I'm really happy about it. Everything but PvE Shotguns are really balanced.

I'm just worried about pulse rifles because it reminds me of Thorn's lifetime. it started out bad (well thorn wasn't all THAT bad but still...), so did pulse rifles, Thorn got a buff, so did pulse rifles, Thorn got another buff, so did pulse rifles. Now thorn got nerfed....well thank god pulse rifles got buffed, but I'm just saying people will complain...Nerf bullets will be shot...then the cycle will repeat...The Nerf King will come for us all...

1 commentaireThe blink nerf sucks, it was already not good for pve, and now it's slower than using glide. Fixing shotguns would've been enough for pvp, I already hardly used it but now it's overall the worst jump choice
