Underwhelming Hunter Subclass
I main a Hunter.
I can't think of 1 reason to use the new subclass over the old classes.
When do we get to fall slower?
Defender Titan is a Support class. They have an insane Super that lasts minutes. From what I saw the new one lasts seconds.
Oooooh I get a Titan flash grenade, and group invis to the first lamp and a very short root spell... Goody.
Titans are throwing flaming hammers 5 times faster than a Sunslinger and Warlocks are flying through enemies with lighting bolts shooting out of their fingertips!
We annoyed the boss for a second.
[b]We wanted to actually support our team![/b]
I just feel that this new class has such short timers that it will take more time to use the abilities than to benefit from them.

But that thing will synergize with the new subclass to the point where it [b]might[/b] be broken. [spoiler]There is a perk in the new subclass tree that says,"your smoke bombs last longer..." Now, that + max strength + Monte Carlo = ALL THE SMOKE BOMBS!!! But wait there's more! Perk in subclass + max strength + Monte Carlo + Sealed Ahamkara Grasps = Yo dawg, I heard you like smoke bombs covering the [b]entire[/b] battlefield![/spoiler]

You realize that the super is a golden gun that forgives misses and binds nearby enemies too, right? You do the perk that gives you three shots and it's 3 kills plus binding.

The other two are easy to use and cool looking but they aren't game changers nor do they offer much in terms of new ways to play . Just like with ward of dawn,shadow shot has the potential to be one of most effective supers across all modes. The hunters other two subclasses are super straightforward and like the Sunbreaker and stormcaller they aren't that versatile,you have long range offensive and short range offensive not much else going on.

You seen the smoke grenades where you and your allies go invis when you go in it? Pve game changer right there

Hunter is about Stealth, and playing safe from a distance. This new class offers support, albeit a limited support which fits into the Hunter persona. It's not supposed to offer the same support as a defender Titan. If you want that kind of support, make sure one of the players on your fire team is a Titan! Problem solved.

Shadestep is blink 2.0. After a week of ttk this forum will be full of PLZ NERF SHADE STEP SHOTGUN!!! TOO OP! Plus you can shoot 3 potential kill arrows that will tether enemies and kill supers. I main warlock but will be happy to try all 3

You can kill with your arrows, the bubble can't kill you...only the player if he/she is any good. I'd say you should be thankful Bungie didn't just leave it at tethering enemies down...

Vast majority of the stream was the Titan view, saw almost nothing of hunter gameplay (no POV (?) and little focus on tethered enemies) Personally, other than complaining about the grenade options, as I've actually played the two recycled grenades and found them both lacking compared to what could have been, I'll wait until I actually play with it before I bawl my eyes out about it

I'm hoping they just wanted to show off the spectacular solar hammers over the other subclasses. I have some faith it's better then we saw

If u watched the stream u'll see that the hunter is really good... There were moments when the hunter shot his bow and it grabbed a bunch of enemies... and the Titan finished them off... New hunter class is gonna be good in both pvp and pve

The problem is that TTK's are so low, even in PvE. It pretty much renders "support" moot. For PvE specifically I wouldnt be opposed to a hefty HP buff and a more trinity based system.
