I gathered up every single VOG Hard and Crota armor piece.
I listed myself for hard VOG.
"LFG i'm very experienced with ice breaker and gjallahorn!"
I was listed as a level 30 hunter.
I did not receive a reply in the 45 minutes I waited.
I listed myself for hard VOG again.
"LFG, Very experienced with Gjallahorn, Ice Breaker, and Fatebringer."
I was listed as a 34 hunter.
Instantly, I recieved 5 invites.
Bungie, you can give everyone the Gjallahorn to prevent this "LFG Fiasco" but it did not seem to stop people from inviting only 34's.
You had to be level 30 to do VOG Hard back then...
You had to be level 32 to do Crota Hard back then...
And you want level 34s for every raid?
The LFG community has gone to trash.
EDIT: After another 45 minutes I finally got an invite. It was a team of 29's, 30's, an 31s. I swapped over to 34, and luckily enough the team was able to clear VoG hard. They thanked me for the help and one of the 29's even got a vex. It was a joyous day for them. I bid my farewell and went off to do a 32 Crota Hard experiment.
The same idiom proposed, except I never found a game.
EDIT 2: Thanks for all the support, guys.
As someone suggested, I posted the same thing as a level 34, but posed as a 30 for VoG hard.
""LFG, Very experienced with Gjallahorn, Ice Breaker, and Fatebringer.""
Recieved only two invites, and a message telling me to level up more as it will increase my chances for an invite.
I've tons of etheric light in my inventory, and I already have a 34 set of VoG and Crota gear. It's just for an experiment.
As for the Crota Hard 32 incident, I recieved 8 invites, since I had a gjallahorn.
That seems to be all that matters. I'm guessing you can be a level 30 in crota hard (minimum level) and be carried through it, but still be expected to pull your own weight in terms of the Crota battle.

4 commentairesModifié par TehPwnShow : 8/20/2015 4:58:07 AMThere's a flaw here. The thing is, what serious destiny player with experience will have a level 30 character? Someone who is serious about the game and is looking to raid will at least have a level 32 because that's the base level for unupgraded legendary gear. There's no real excuse to be anything less. Back in the day, 30 or 32 were the max levels and that's what showed seriousness and experience in the game. Chances are if you encounter a 30 nowadays that person is not skilled

1 commentaireIf youre on xboxone im always down for raids and PoE. I know people find it annoying but I actually like killing Skolas. Do it even after completing my 3 lvl 35s for the week. I dont mind helping people out as long as they are chill and are willing to listen. Dont like running an event and everyone is talking at the same time. The thing i hate with LFG is i specifically ask for new people or ones who have barely done them yet i get people who have done them plenty times and try to take over everything
-
2 commentairesWell here's the thing. A 34 will be more experienced than a 30. Anyone can say they are experienced.
-
The LFG community has gone to trash.
Sad that this very true. Remember when the LFG sites where the next best thing to a slice a bread? They provided a service that was and still is sorely missing from within the game.
-
Its a matter of experience, not general requirement. Its like going to someone whos been a doctor for 10 years versus a year.

4 commentairesThats not really a sound experiment. For one, you make the level 30 look like a complete baby that has resorted to begging. For two, the level 34 is straight to the point and confident. If you really wanted to test the community you should have copy and pasted the post bu subbed in the different level numbers. I.e. "LFG, Very experienced 30 with Gjallahorn, Ice Breaker, and Fatebringer" "LFG, Very experienced 34 with Gjallahorn, Ice Breaker, and Fatebringer" Naturally people are going to go for the 34 as it does make a difference. Well now that I think about it, this whole experiment was kind of moot. You are just point out the obvious. This isnt manufactured by bungie, its just common to want the best.

the problems of lfg are one, ignorance, not knowing that for some raids being 34 doesn't matter. And two the second problem is the game design of trials. Since the bulk of the rewards you get only for going flawless, nobody will play unless it's "flawless or nothing" significantly narrowing the player base. i'd have given cosmetic flawless rewards that you only got once and/or maybe like one single specific exotic like a vex is for atheon. That way once you've done it once there's no reason to do it every time. If you got elementals for just completing a card you'd have far more people willing to play with you in trials i think.

5 commentairesSo why didn't you do it as a level 30? Why you switched to 34? I agree with your statement about LFG but didn't you just admit it's a bit easier as a 34 with 365 weapons?
-
1 commentaireIt is sad that the LFG communities are like this. With that said, when you finally got a group together why did you swap to 34?
-
-
I just run lvl 34 Vault and 34 gear... because why not?
-
1 commentaireSeems that the first few times i ran raids from the recruitment forum i got in with really experienced guys and they basically carried me. Now when i join teams i end up with pretty inexperienced guys and have had to learn to run relic etc. because no one knows how. Not that I'm complaining, just means raids take a bit longer and we have lots of wipes.

2 commentairesLol some kid tried saying to kick me because I was wearing VoG gear (level 32 cause some is ascended) I was fireteam leader (moron) and I simply asked "why should I be kicked for wearing the gear that drops in this raid and has perks for this raid? Or are you just so focused on level that you failed to realize that it comes from the raid and that I have triple your completions?" He shut up the rest of the raid didn't say a word
-
Honestly you lost me on the first game for being a hunter and putting sad faces, that indicated your desperation which means no plays with you because you suck or you're a horrible teammate. I didn't even notice the level 30, although you should atleast be 32 since that's the baseline now and ether lights are super easy to get anyways
-
2 commentaireswrong you had to be level 29 to do VoG hard as many of us did, you had to be level 31 to do crota had as many of us were lol. Find a good team and make friends and add them. we have made are own clan. its probably the best in the world
-
Honestly if those quotes are what u honestly wrote you were probably invited bc everyone on the first one thought you were a whiney bitch the second one was just straight to the point. Had probably nothing to do with the levels.
-
Realistically the only thing you need to say to get reliable people for VoG: "Need x for VoG, Have 300+ VoG Primary" I don't even post for this anymore but if you don't want to take chances with just anyone you should use the above restriction at max.
-
2 commentairesI don't get that mindset either. Isn't your damage input/output capped anyways? Aren't you doing and taking the same amount of damage as a 30 that you would as a 34; assuming you are using the same weapons with the same attack values.
-
1 commentaireIt's even worse when 34s don't even know how to do vog.
-
I sometimes wish I never ascended my vault gear. Still run full vault 42 light Kabr gear on my Titan in vault, though. BeastMode
-
I had to lie about being experienced at Skolas to get in a group to get my first Skolas victory on lfg. I had read up on strategy on how to beat him before hand and performed better then one of the actual experienced fireteam members.
-
3 commentairesDo it again. But write what you wrote for the second twice and list for one that you are level 30 and for another that you are 34. Let's see what happens.
-
exactly , now that the player base is on a decline its harder than ever to find games without matchmaking , at this point i lose interest to play sooner than this stupid system grants me an invite
-
People seem to forget "Forever 29" and the fact that you could only play Crota Hard as a 32 maximum. Guarantee it will move to 40 come TTK.
-
Nothing you can really do to change what some people want from a team. Not all people on sites are wack like that though, i ran VOG hard last night with two players with no mic and 2 32s
