Please post what it would take for you personally to believe in God. I want to better understand how people besides myself think.
-If you say "scientific proof" maybe elaborate a little on what you mean. Many people have different Ideas about what constitutes "proof" scientifically speaking. Also, if you say that you already believe in God, please describe why. Thanks guys!

4 commentairesBelieving in him and worshipping him are two very different things. I'm sure there are things that could get me to believe in him, but any being who would allow the atrocities some humans have committed must be pure evil.

10 commentairesScientific Proof. I'm an atheist but I'm willing to accept a god so long as it's proven he exists. And no one say bible because to me that doesn't count. I'm talking like video footage of a god. Historical evidence. Something totally concrete. Neale Donald Walche wrote a book for those dealing with the death of a loved one. It's called "At Home With God" and it talks about all the different possibilities. And how upon death, what we believe is what we see and how each belief is somehow to an extent true. It's religious but not overly so that it's one sided and preachy. It's a decent read. And I think it's possibly a wise stance to at least look from. But honestly there is something spiritual here. Maybe not a god but we've all seen things we can't explain. For example, my dad died this year in January. Shortly after one of our Bhuddist friends who is such a beautiful person, asked if she and her friends could do a mantra to help him pass over. My mum and I agreed instantly. Whatever helped him get to where he needed to go. The mantra was to be performed over 49 days to help him pass over. (Why her friends helped her). And during that period the strangest thing happened. When I awoke one morning, my mum told me she had seen the weirdest thing. She awoke (middle of the night) to find what looked similar to glow worms in appearance, all around her. I thought she may have dreamed it but I was noncommittal to a judgment yet. She called my sister later and told her about it. And guess what. Exact same thing. Exact same time. Later my sister got in contact with our Bhuddist friend and told her, then she sent pictures to my mum and sister. They both said that's exactly what they were. Apparently they are orbs known as "enlightened beings" and they protect the family of the deceased. Now as I said I'm an atheist, and those may not have been enlightened beings, but that is definitely something that cannot yet be explained by science. And may well be spiritual. Other things wired have happened but this was really major. This is my analogy for spiritual matters. We have a brain. That is fact. We know it. It is material. It is real. But we also have a mind. Something that is definitely there but is not factualised in science. Not detectable. It is thought and emotion. The brain is simply the computer. The mind is the user. The same is said for body and spirit. One is material, the other is not. Known, but undetectable. The soul is the mind. The mind is the soul. Both are consciousness. The opposite is existence. We exist and are conscious. We know these things. Mind and soul. We just don't know everything about them or how they should be classified or even exactly what they are. But they are something, and something is real.

3 commentairesI want to believe so badly to be honest. But how can I prove the existence of another being if I can't even prove the existence of my own self(or anything for that matter)?

2 commentairesIf God ripped the roof off where I am sitting now and spoke to me and then I asked him to do it again and he could I would believe in it because it was proven and repeatable.

The only way you could prove it is by providing God himself as proof.

Physical evidence would be proof or if God came down and granted me 1 wish

5 commentairesI'm a Christian bruh. If you want proof just look up the Shroud of Turin, The fact that they found Noahs Arc, the chariot remains in the Red sea, or even take a gander with the Shemitha and how it's prophecy is coming true today. Be cautious of September y'all...
