$20 is half of the full DLC price.
The DLC is selling for insane inflated prices outside the US.
Luke Smith basically insulted the entire community with his condescending comments.
Dee followed up with snarky comments which were almost as bad.
And now.. their solution? Another cash grab and another smart update.
Anyone else starting to feel quite negative about this game and Bungie?

6 commentairesDid you guys ever considered how many people on this forum are from bungei and activision? And as a employee it's their job to make the company look good any ways they can. Maybe some of the posts that support bungei practices are from them. This is just my opinion and I don't have proof for it.

3 commentairesAlready quit...not worth it when there are games like Witcher 3, Halo 5 and Fallout4...Even ESO with it's shitty servers is better than this bullsh!t.

1 commentaireThe inflated prices are do to taxes that YOUR country put into place, its not bungies fault. Now as for the price of the cosmetic price, its actually cheaper then other games microtransactions. Also this isn't a new thing, game companies do things like this all the time, and I don't mind. If I like something, I'll buy It. Since I bought it, they'll make more of it. Aaanndd alsssoo, watch other interviews with luke smith, that's just his personality. He was making a joke. They care about their community, trust me.
-
3 commentairesThey knocked $20 off the digital collector's edition price for year one players. Luke apologized. What would you like them to do next?

1 commentaireDoes anyone remember the open letter by bungie to their fans and community when they originally announced the Activision partnership. Promises of staying true to their philosophy and crap. Basically every negative thing people said about the deal has came to pass.

2 commentairesModifié par ZeroFactionZeta : 6/25/2015 1:54:35 PMIt's $70 in Australia, $1 more than I paid for the original game. Yes I enjoy this game but I'm not buying anymore from this franchise. For me it's the proverbial straw. The main reason I'm off the DLC jack is because I don't even have access to the total content I bought last year with the original game. Why would I sign up for another full price lockout. Bungie wants to take money from Xbox users with one hand while they take bribes from Sony to lock us out with the other.

The Taken Fool. much better title! I'll buy that for $100

4 commentairesAnyone else tired of hitting the mute button?
-
1 commentaireYep. We'll see if the dlc is worth it by the reviews. I won't be preordering.
-
Hahha! It really doesn't matter to me, but it is the TAKEN king for a reason lol....

muted. the only fool is you. end of story so get lost

3 commentairesI dont really pay much attention to the shafting i get in the wallet. If i want to play a game, ill buy it. Lately tho, destiny has just been unfun. Really not enjoying it. HoW feels... cheap? I feel like ive done it all.

2 commentairesNormally, I'd say just don't buy it, but in this instance I must admit I agree Bungie is trying to rip us off one way or another. So, no, I will not buy it. Initially, all of us who already play, would have had to shell out $80 for the entire Collector's Edition. Since the Luke Smith incident, Bungie has "generously" changed their tone so that we can pay $40 just for The Taken King PLUS $20 to unlock the shaders and exotic items included in the Collector's Edition. So, to get the DLC and Collector's Edition items, you basically have to pay the price of a new game. This is just for a DLC and a few items. They need to bundle these items in with The Taken King and stick to the $40 price tag (or even lower it) to make current players truly feel appreciated. I don't think that's remotely unreasonable. If anyone wants to pay new game price for a DLC and a few items, then go for it. I won't tell you how to spend your money. I'm simply stating why I will not shell out the money for this and why I understand the outrage this time around.
-
Is that a legitimate question? If them giving you an option to buy the collector's addition content upsets you, maybe you should consider playing another game....or doing something else entirely.

1 commentaireThe clan I'm in is split between fanboys who are losing hope in Bungie, and fanboys who have lost all hope in Bungie. With the horrid last two weeks and everything that has come to light, I'm siding with the latter of the two. I don't expect Bungie to be the same company that I once loved. (Going all the way back to myth days) But I didn't expect them to be THIS kind of company.

1 commentaireFinally someone mentions the fact that the money isn't an issue. This forum is by far the nicest to Bungie(OBVIOUSLY, i know). The articles popping up are just tearing Bungie's PR dept apart. The "apology" actually comes off way worse than Luke's interview. Doesn't take a genius to see that. Anyway, it's a game, they'll make it or break it. Who cares.
-
Pretty sure you been taken for a fool in the past. Paying for something way above the value.
-
2 commentairesNo. I couldn't be happier. Maybe you're just miserable person and annoyed that mommy's welfare checks don't cover emotes and exclusive shaders. We know you're jealous that we can afford a measly 20 on some destiny swag but no reason to resort to name calling us fools because we have jobs and can afford our play things.
-
You're only a fool if you buy it. If you think it's ridiculous, don't support it. That's the only thing you can do, this is the business, it may seem bad in the eyes of the consumer, but from a business perspective, they're doing it right; charging more for the DLC because they know people will buy it.

Yes I bought Dying Light yesterday. Techland has expanded upon it’s “drink water earn DLC” campaign from two days ago. In a effort get more folks involved in the just for fun piss-take, an additional level to the Drink For DLC campaign has been added – with stretch goals. Techland have decided to design, create and release a number of new free DLC packs for Dying Light throughout the second half of the year. I am all in!

1 commentaireThese aren't meant to be a bargain, they're meant to be limited, and cool, and everyone seems to miss the fact that the class items have xp boosts on them. It's the same reason we buy $20 nike socks, and $300 oakley glasses. Do the socks make you run faster? Do the sunglasses help your eyes that much more than a $5 pair? No, we all know this. How about that name brand clothing, why not just buy Walmart no name crap? Because humans have an innate urge to stand out, to be cool, to be different, fashionable.. and that applies to our digital selves as well. Some people are more willing than others to spend money on these things, which is fine. If you don't find value in them, don't buy them.

I see no point in paying game price for minimum dlc so many good games on the horizon.activi$ion have killed what had the potential to make long term money. By being greedy in the short term. cmon bungie see sense break the idiot partnership and get back to what you once were. a company who made good full games with lots of support and zero tolerance to cheating
