I can't express how sick I am of seeing ghorn only on a lfg site. But worse than that is the way people are treating the ones like me who haven't been lucky enough to get one. I run the raids every week on hard. I do nightfalls. Yet somewhere in the comments some idiot invariably posts "get ghorn" like its some helpful tip nobody has thought of. Worse still is "get good and youll get ghorn". REALLY. How does one "get good" at random loot drops exactly? What part does skill play other than the amount needed to beat the raids to have the slight chance of getting one? Because the raids arent difficult anymore in the least. Once youve done them 3 or more times you kinda stop having any trouble on future runs. So please explain to me how "being good at the game" gets you a better chance for a ghorn instead of shattered vault cloak #372 or fist of Crota for the fourth time.
It doesn't
Also I have been completely unable to find a decent group for PoE because of this whole fetish for gallys. Even when I'm straight up carrying a team (last man standing, always getting the revive) I have been kicked because some dude with a gally wanted in. Everyone preferring titans now is understandable. Anyone can make a titan. Thats not random luck thats just a time investment. However it is unfair to use a randomly dropped item as criteria to block players from your team. You could get ghally on your first VoG run on normal. You could do both raids every week for a year and never get one. It does not make you a skilled player if you have one. It doesnt make you unskilled if you dont. Maybe ghally should be nerfed but what I really think is all the people banning a non-ghally owner from doing anything with them should get over themselves. I'm not asking anyone to carry me. I hold my own and love my icebreaker. But maybe you dont need to exclude people on the basis of them not having a weapon thats obtained purely through luck and THEN have the douchey-ness (f your dictionaries) to pretend you got it because you're skilled. Thats not how random loot works

2 commentairesI lol every time someone says they need someone with a maxed out Gjally. I don't have it, and I don't need it. It's sad, how many crap players use Gjally cuz it's the only gun that makes them look like they dont suck ass. Get gud, bitches!

Rng sucks man it really does. I mainly play with buddies I grew up with, when we do pick up randoms we never require them to have one. Gjallarhorn, to some is a "get out of jail free card." To others its a gun used in specific situations. I myself see no reason to have it equipped 24/7.

Modifié par Soul_Eater_42 : 5/31/2015 6:59:13 PMAgreed. I've noticed, for a long time, that this weapon breeds arrogance and elitism. You can see it anywhere in the forums. Players that have one will treat those without one as lesser beings. As if it's some grand trophy proving your skill level. If it had some sort of highly difficult bounty attached--if all Exotics has one--then there would be a reason for them to boast about it. But, as it stands, this one Exotic, like many of the others, is awarded at random. There's no special requirements. You just have to participate where there are chances for Exotics. Nightfall, Raids, Crucible, PoE, Vanguard Strikes, and Engrams. Any of these can award you an Exotic, even Gjallarhorn. All you need is luck.

I have a ghorn and I know what you mean. I only post "need ghorn" if my friends say so. But it is so elusive that it is unfair to players who don't have it.

6 commentairesIf I'm running PoE, I want 3 ghallys so I can just get through it fast. Don't blame us for not wanting to make it harder for ourselves

The "get good to get ghorn" thing is kinda funny. I got good by going flawless three times and getting my ghorn in the lighthouse :)

2 commentairesI have ghorn and personally it's made the quality of destiny's community worse. Everyone just spams ghorn for every situation. It's made me worse at the game, getting comfortable just going on the forums getting two 34s with ghorn and not playing the game right. However, on the other hand I don't have much time to play destiny so finding people with ghorn is much more ideal, then struggling through with someone without.

i've got a gally. still, i'll play w/anyone. just want to have fun. this is a game after all.

There are those who are chill and help the less fortunate who don't have ghorn, and those who are jerks and stay to "their own kind"

This guy knows what's up

2 commentairesWell, you have a low number of completions for doing the raids every week? Especially on HM. Are you just not getting past the final bosses? If you are on Xbox 360, I would help you with my friends. We have a free spot often. Just need to be a 31 for HM Crota and try to tell us how to run the raid since we have many completions under our belts. I just don't have a lot of VoG completions because I prefer Crota.

Modifié par cobbinah : 5/31/2015 4:40:12 PMI agree with you 100%, You took the words right out of my mouth. But hey it is what it is, I've now started playing other games more, as getting sick of this shtick. P. s ignore the trolls.
