Rangefinder > Shotpackage
After significant testing I can confirm that a matador 64 with aggressive ballistics, reinforced barrel, and rangefinder will kill in one shot at a further range than a matador 64 with aggressive ballistics, reinforced barrel, and shotpackage in pvp.
Rangefinder ftw!

1 commentaireYour pelllets spread is still a larger cone than a shot package spread. This means tighter cones equal more pellets landing meaning more kills.

6 commentairesTrue. But lost cause, shotpackage is king on the forums. (But not in the game) Shotpackage seems better it you dont have the accuracy. Its more of a beginner perk. Just like accelerator coils on a fusion. (Stability/armor piercing way better) and now fusion dont have armor piercing. Range finder is amazing on shotguns, fusions, and hand cannons. Rangefinder/ feeding frenzy is my favorite combo.

IF most/all of the pellets hit you would indeed kill at a longer range. Which happens.. Well.. Never. Just take 2 shotguns. 1 with and 1 without pellet spread and shoot at any wall next to you. The difference man.. There is no way you can tell me with a straight face that rangefinder is better.

1 commentaireShot package: Decreases the spread of your pellets while aiming down sights. Range Finder: Increases your weapon's range by 10% and increases your weapon's damage falloff range by 20%. So one technically increases the range, one makes it so the spread is much lower. I prefer shot package in that regard.

7 commentairesThis guy is full of sh** shot package has proven to be better as it maximizes damage and indirectly increases range... Range finder gives a 10% increase to range, which also increases shot spread over that extended range... For high impact low RoF shotguns you want as much impact/damage as possible in one shot (because you're only gonna have one chance most likely) the reduced spread increases range and ensures you get max damage
