Played since beta, took a break after crotas end, then returned back to try and enjoy house of wolves.
Can't get into hardly any fireteams without a gjallarhorn. It's run rampant, even people are demanding you have a ghallajorn for the nightfall?!! Since when did this community I grew to enjoy turn into a bunch of snobs who care about nothing but ghally for everything.
This is not enjoyable at all anymore. This community is toxic, and it's burning itself to the ground real quick. Bungie should at least do something about the gjallarhorn, maybe at least let xur sell it again or something, because I'm tired of the disappointment this game has delivered me since day 1.
Not a single RNG drop has made me excited to play more. In fact it almost feels like they just wanna disappoint me so bad that I have no choice but to keep playing.
So until this whole ghally trend settles down and people pull there heads out of their asses, I'll be off playing Witcher 3 and Bloodborne, maybe the community over there isn't a bunch of arrogant no life's...

2 commentairesI wish bungie would return vex to its op glory and then remove Wolfpack from gjallarhorn . Separate the cheesers from the jews

I understand your frustration. I stopped playing until the wolves dlc came out. I do have a gjally but i preferd to run thorn as my exotic. I only play crucible now the reason is like you said toxic comunity. I havent run a raid in months... i hate most of the players of lfg thinking theyre mlg mvps. So i play with friends that just play to have fun... not the type that want to do a speed run in the vog to go into the crota... especially when they tell me to get my gjally or when they want me to run sunsinger, when in my opinion is the most boring special ever. Take a brake like i did playing battlefield hardline ... find a group that enjoy playing just to have fun and forget all the people that take the game too serious!

This is why I was glad ToO was implemented. Skill is more important than a random drop.
-
I have a ghorn and skills is hard without it so, I see their point

5 commentairesI just got kicked after spending hours on Skolas for not having it. I'm done.

Posted a forum just like this. Its doomed destiny telling y'all right now

Once u stop worrying about getting it will drop I done raids and nf weekly on all 3 characters never got it then I stopped playing everyday to 3 times a week then bam got it twice in two days . It eventually does drop
-
Skolas has taken the ghorn love to the next level. Well at least until the reset

1 commentaireIts all bungie's fault in the game's design. Besides atheon (snipers are better), every boss is easily wrecked by gjallarhorn which leaves everything else in the dust. Even in arc nightfalls, gjally does more damage than an arc launcher.
-
Shouldn't have taken a break. I know I can speak for a lot of people that grinded there ass off to get it by doing there nightfalls and raids 3 times a week. I know it sucks that a lot of people want you to have it but the best way to deal with it is to get it. Play the game you'll get it eventually.

You should change your name to "Salty".

It's true, the destiny community is filled with try-hard elitest. I myself don't require someone to have a specific weapon or level, and there are many others like that too. Sadly though they aren't as vocal. Enjoy the Witcher 3 bro, can't wait to get my hands on it.

22 commentairesGjallarhorn really ISN'T what the hype says. I got it this week off the Nightfall, maxed it out... It just doesn't live up to the hype. Kinda sad, actually
-
I've never asked anyone to have a gally. I work with what I got. If it's Crota I can work with any rocket launcher even if it doesn't have tracking, as long as it hits I could care less. Same with Nightfalls, you can use a Blue machine gun, as long as you're staying alive and covering our backs and trying you're good with me. By the way I have two Gallys if anyone is gonna bring that up.

Modifié par qoslsnsmqaaksk : 5/26/2015 1:17:45 AMWell those guys are complete scrubs then. The ONLY thing I could understand is level 35 PoE. The main reason is because people haven't learned much strategies other than the gjallarhorn one. In a couple weeks I'm sure it will just be a 365 rocket launcher.

Modifié par JarodColdbreak : 5/26/2015 12:50:35 AMYou know, it is not only the community, that is to blame. Sure, a certain attitude has to be present for this kind of thing to happen, but you gotta look at it from a gameplay perspective. The game is not that hard for the most part, you can get by with mostly any weapon you like, burns if you are dealing with shields. But when it comes to boss fights or other boss like encounters, this changes. Most bosses are bullet sponges, meaning they have a lot of health and take a long time to take down. Most bosses also have minions that will keep coming at you, making you more likely to die the longer the fight takes. That is just a cheap way of making the boss more challenging because you can not afford to only concentrate on the boss. That is not a bad stragety on its own, but nearly ALL bosses rely on minions to make them more difficult. And that just gets really annoying. I don't want to have to deal with this over an extended period of time, it makes the boss fight take very long. Yet, the rewards are mostly not worth putting in so much time so you want to speed up the process. Enter Gjallarhorn. It is one of the most powerful damage dealers in the game. And it also has fire and forget, once you locked on you're good. Having three people with a Ghorn fire 5 - 7 rockets each in quick succession can take a huge chunk out of a bosses health, if not kill the boss. I agree that this takes off a big part of the challenge. But bosses like Omnigul and their minions are just harassing the players too much to be fun to deal with over a long period of time. That is why most people will want to have the most efficient way of killing possible, which is Gjallarhorn now. It is popular because it works. It works with the bosses in most strikes, it works in the PoE, it also works in raids to an extent. If you want to take it a step further, think about Crota. What is the best way to get him to kneel before killing the Sword Bearer? Lock on Rockets. What is the most powerful lock on rocket launcher? Gjallarhorn. It is as simple as that. The Crota boss fight is one of the worst designs I have ever seen, even though it comes from a great idea behind it. It makes pretty much most other weapons inefficient. Sure peoples attitude decide in the end, but the game makes it clear that having ghorn is good, having more ghorn is even better. It makes everything easier and since the game is one huge grind, it is not a surprise that it turned out like it did.

Another one bites the dust.

It's the first week. We haven't even had a reset. People don't know the strats and aren't geared. It won't be as bad as people get more gear and learn the fights.
I just carried two people through level 34 PoE. Taught them every fight. And they were less than ideally geared. (Though one had a gjallarhorn). So people do help, to just harder right now.
2 commentairesAnother sad post from someone without a ghally.

You need to find better Friends. Gally is only relevant until you get one. I use corrective measure more often

I am honored but no

Just take hoc, 365 it's gotta be pretty useful? I am unsure how it performs against skolas but it is also solar burn tracking and drops clusters. I use gally but I wouldn't begrudge anyone joining me. That being said people just want to complete the achievements and move on (which is the other side of the argument). This game is like a collector card game or Pokemon, people just wanna catch em all... Quickly :)

1 commentaireI have no Gjallarhorn. People still play with me.
