Confessions of a recovering blink felwinter spammer.
I just flat out got tired of it. It's so played out. Call it maturity. Enough is enough already, guys. Lets put away the constant shotguns and work on our gun skills. Trust me, it's way more fulfilling to beat someone in a gun fight with gun skills. I used to think that blinking around with my felwinters was where it was at. It's not. Using primary ammo is what the crucible is supposed to be about. Special is supposed to be for special situations. Not half your kills. Get a thorn, tlw, red death, whatever you gotta do. Sniping is ok when it's expected, like SOT. But hard scoping doors and traffic areas is just as bad. I understand people just want to get kills any way they possibly can, but lets try something different. No, I'm not telling you how to play the game. I'm not telling you anything. Just suggesting a more respectful way of playing.
EDIT: this is basically why i personally got tired of it. every single encounter boils down to who fired their shotgun first and who was close enough to OHK the other person. who had the better shotgun, who got a melee off in time if they were out of range..... just really not what i think pvp is supposed to boil down to. just my opinion

It's hardly more satisfying eliminating enemies with those rather than A shotgun, at least with a shotgun you gotta get close.

I've never really liked blink but it really pisses me off when i die by that shit. It's not a gun skill you're not out gunning anyone you're running away until you get the right shot. I use shotguns because I'm in close quarters. Yeah i feel bad i can shoot relatively far with it but really is not add far as most. But 9 times out of 10 is a hand canon and not the thorn or tlw. Although my thorn has the most kills of all my exotics I've had it for a very long time. Maybe like week 3.

Good replacement is Mida Multi tool with radiant dance machines (hunter exotic duh) with a high impact low charge rate fusion rifle like Praetorian Foil. I've done fairly well with that combo

29 commentairesThe majority of players with a brain will know that they need to use the top tier weapons to be able to compete at a fair level against good players. Anyway, this might make you fear Sunsingers with a Felwinter's lie more than blade dancers blinking around with one.

8 commentairesIve been using the TLW + Felwinter combo for a while now and completely dominating. But, like you, Ive gotten bored of it. Now I use The Devil You Know and Plan C, and its much more fun. TDYK kills in just 3 shots if you're good enough, Ive beaten many TLW and Red Death users with it. I still use the Felwinter in maps like Anomaly, but only as self defence if I'm in really tight or desperate encounters. I feel like more people should try swapping weapons up, I see too many TLW/Thorn/Red Death users out there who rely on these guns to keep up.

3 commentairesHey I've only just got a felwinters with the good perks and only recently started using my hunter in the crucible. I will use it till I get tired of it but to me this is all new, my main is a titan so being able to blink is fun and I enjoy the shotgun combo. The crucible is no place for mercy, said by a wise titan.
