. . . the color black. A lot of the time I'm running through crucible or slapping Rahool in the tower, I see tons and tons of guardians wearing Dead Orbit's class item. The majority of people I've asked say they're doing it for the shaders that DO offers. Those shaders being a mix of black and white.
I personally have to ally myself with the Future War Cult.
So why are so many players attracted to Dead Orbit? Is it the guns? The armor? Or the fact that everything is black?
Edit: Wow I didn't expect this to blow up overnight with nearly 300 responses. A lot of you make good points about going for DO shaders. Destiny tends to give us a lot of shaders that make us look like depressed clowns and it would only be logical to go after shaders that make us look good for once. I can't wait for the HoW shader so. Especially the third one that Petra will sell.

2 commentairesBecause when you are colorblind you hate people reminding you that FWC is purple and yellow, not a weird shade of green and blue

5 commentairesBecase apart from sunsetting no other shwadet matches obsidian mind, and I'm a little tired of sunsetting. at least for me though
-
I like a darker color (currently no shader) for my hunter and a gold/red look for my Sunsinger (for obvious reasons, I think), but when it comes to whatever third character I have, it's anything goes. I'll use anything from Cytherean Bloom to a Crucible shader
-
I have all my Dead Orbit Shaders I want. Now for the Nerfertiti Ak for my Titan
-
It's low key, inconspicuous, good for disturbing your silhouette but mostly I don't want to be seen looking a fruit basket I guess lol

Modifié par o0DELTA FORCE0o : 5/3/2015 6:53:17 PMEmo's confirmed! To be honest it's better than glohoo. What an ugly shader.

I want the black shader I hate how flashy the other colors we have are
-
7 commentairesA lot of shaders look terrible on hunters (something to do with where materials are assigned on the models I guess). You can never go wrong with neutrals though - it's why Thunderdevil goes with everything.

10 commentairesYou can have it any color you want...as long as it's black.

Modifié par xlu : 5/3/2015 5:11:04 PMBlack represents death, despair, or evil. Most evil in nearly every movie, story, or event is displayed as a calm and collected bad ass that walks around with confidence spewing from their body motions. Same as red (God of war). Red represents anger, blood, and in some cases evil as well. Just in this case, since most gamers are guys, it's just a simple look alike type thing. They see their guardian as a calm and collected evil bad ass with black on.

I choose all 3 factions to level up , but I much prefer the look of the DO shaders that iv'e seen , haven't got any myself yet but iv'e got DO weapons and like the grey and black camo they got.

Because I'm batman

I was running New Monarchy, but they were stingy with the Shaders for so long that The Dark Below came out and provided me great Red Shaders, but without all the White. So now a good Black Shader is on my hitlist, and then I'll diversify into Future War Cult, whose lore I find the most interesting, but their class items the ugliest.

1 commentaireIm in DO for the shaders
-
I went with Dead Orbit cause they're the only ones (as far as I can remember) that sell armour without intelligence that I needed for my hunter (very rarely use the hunters supers as I mostly play pve).
-
1 commentaireI just wanted Revenant so I could match my armour with the Obsidian Mind. But I got it a while ago so I just keep leveling it in hopes of the Dead Orbit ship. Don't really want any of the other faction Shaders, they look nice but don't suit the look of my characters.

Mainly guns. Deviant Gravity A ftw

Cause most part of gamers are metalheads as well \,,/

Modifié par Nighthawk_0430 : 5/3/2015 4:42:33 PMBecause I embrace the Darkness. And besides, who doesn't enjoy being the Anti-Hero, look at people like Punisher and Deadpool, two of the more popular comic characters are Anti-Heroes
-
Who doesn't want to look like Professor Sneep (aka Dead Orbit dude with a speech impediment)?
-
1 commentaireFor practical reasons. Blacks, and the more neutral colors matching the crucible terrain can slow down enemy target acquisition. Even if it's only a tenth of a second, that can be the difference between that sniper getting the head shot, or the enemy pausing in reacting allowing you to get the first shot in.

I like the lore, plus I'm an awoken warlock on my main: dead orbit just felt right lol. The black shaders and digital attic camo on the guns definitely don't hurt either haha

When I first played the game, I wanted to level up Dead Orbit to get the cool emblem at DO level 3. After that I figured there was a good chance that there was faction shaders so I was going for a cool black one. Shortly after that a friend confirmed the cool shader, and shortly after that I got my Revenant. Currently I am leveling up DO because I want a perfect roll for the Deviant Gravity A heavy machine gun. With that said I also am levelling up New Monarchy on my other characters.
